Booker T is the absolute most overrated worker in WWE today. People on this forum act like he's the friggin' savior of Raw when that's far from the truth. Offensive wise, look, there's a kick. And another kick. Look, he just did...another kick. Well, here's a......kneedrop. And now it's the....Scissors Kick. Want to talk about formulatic ? People hated on X-Pac because of his "educated feet", but Booker T just isn't much better. Mic wise, Booker T has given such gems as "You Damn Skippy, Hippy" and "Can you dig that, sucka ?" That's mic skills ?! Then I don't know what the hell Ric Flair has been doing for all these years if Booker T has good mic skills. Booker T is nothing more than a mediocre worker, yet everyone here calls for the immediate rise of status. Support-wise, RVD gets more cheers than Booker T nearly every night, so ya can't use that excuse. You can't spell "Booker T is overrated" without "Booker T"

Right. Because let me tell you, when I turned on the news that night, the first thing at the top of the hour was: Newscaster: Today, the British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith passed away and our condolensces go to the entire Smith family. But we know who's to blame for this. Vince McMahon. Fuck Vince McMahon, since he's responsible for all of this. Hey everybody, let's boycott this asshole ! Besides the bitching of smarks, the world wouldn't change whether there was a Bulldog bell-ringing or not. The news certainly wouldn't have covered it and, in the long run, the British Bulldog death did absolutely nothing to WWE PR. The WWE PR is not in danger every time a wrestler dies when the wrestler is not even in said company !!!
-
Fuck. Why bring Owen into this ? What the hell should the WWF have done the next night, besides cancel the show ? I thought it was a pretty moving tribute that night and allowed all wrestling fans to mourn, instead of them having to deal with the loss of Owen alone. I really don't think the motives of that show were selfish at all. I mean....it did do recent ratings. But have you seen anyone else in WWE die during a card ? Hell no. So give me a fucking break if you say it was a PR move. It was a tragedy, and the McMahon family did their best to give a proper tribute to Owen. And anyone who thinks Perfect should have got nearly the same treatment on Raw needs to step back into reality. The Perfect situation is nothing like the Owen situation. Nothing like it.

The man was not employed by WWE at the time. And, when he WAS employed, he almost pushed Brock Lesnar out of an airplane. The WWE SHOULD acknowledge his death, but it is kinda ridiculous to expect them to make a 5-minute tribute for a man that isn't even in the company. What next ? If Bastion Booger dies one day, does he deserve a 5-minute video tribute with the 10-bell salute ? I mean, he was employed and all, right ? In my opinion, you have to draw the line somewhere. They acknowledged him, put up his picture, paid their respects, and are giving hom a memorial segment on Confidential. That should be enough. You people act like Vince didn't friggin mention the guy at all.....
-
She then said "That'll be 300 bucks. You best pay up"
-
*rolls eyes* Oh yes, HBK was just SO awful. I mean, boy he sure ruined that title. And how dare the man want to be in the same ring as the British Bulldog. What the hell was he thinking ? ....I mean, sure British Bulldog was good. But better than HBK by a margin of 11-1 ? No way.

Middle of May: Cole - Welcome to Smackdown tonight. And Tazz, what is with that crate hanging up there ? Who can be there tonight ? Tazz - I don't know Cole. For three straight months, we've seen guys like Brother Love, Kanyon, Berzerker, the Undertaker's twin brother, Paul Bearer, and Max Mini come out. But who can it be tonight ? Cole - No idea. All I know is that I have never seen anything like it. *Paul Heyman comes out* Heyman - Hey Undertaker, come out and open up your crate. *Undertaker comes out* Cole - My god, Tazz, what could it be ? What could that dastardly Heyman have waiting ? Tazz - HAAAAH. I don't know but I can't wait. *Undertaker opens up the crate and Tenacious Z hops out* Cole - A one-legged man ! Tazz, where could his other leg be ? I wonder where it is. Just what is the relationship between this man and his missing leg ? What could have happened ? Undertaker - Son, you're a one-legged dog in a.....four-legged dog.....ass kicking contest.....in....my....yard ! Come here, boy ! *Chokeslam, Last Ride, gone* Cole - Amazing. Simply amazing. I have never seen anything like this. What could Heyman have waiting next ?! Coming up next....Bill DeMott defending his heavyweight title against Albert. Gonna be a classic ! ----------------------- You know it's gonna happen
-
*rolls eyes* Let's look at this realistically. Stephanie is a bitch with a huge ego. HHH is an asshole with a BIG, HUGE, GIGANTIC ego. Vince is an asshole with a perhaps even bigger ego. You put these three egos in one family and what happens ? KABOOM ! This is a powderkeg waiting to happen....and I doubt it's going to last. Marriage ? Ha. Give it a year. Tops.
-
Sure, you can say he stayed in the 2nd longest behind Jericho, but I feel that this isn't noteworthy if the announcers don't even mention it. Not once did they mention RVD being in for a long time and when he was thrown out, it wasn't "Dammit, RVD's been tricked by Kane. But he made it far and was in for maybe the longest, King." Instead, it was "By gawd ! That Kane's a hoss ! And there's Batista now ! Hoss-A-Mania ! *orgasm*" If they shit on RVD, they deserve shit in return. And as for the best-of-125 series, what the fuck do the victories mean ? Vince puts the same god damn match out every week, but is a history between these 2 teams ever mentioned ? Fuck no. WWE expects us to view this match as being completely new and fresh when it has had the same exact god damn ending every single F'n time !! But hell, at least we got room for HHH/Steiner and Undertaker/Big Show at No Way Out....Fuck RVD. Fuck him all the way to the World, in NYC. If we're lucky, they'll ask him who will win that epic between Roid and Roider over the "Ego Stroke" Heavyweight Title. If you can't tell, I am extremely bitter over this RVD depush.
-
If I was RVD, I wouldn't be trying right now either. The man got left off of the Armageddon card, hardly did anything noteworthy in the Royal Rumble, is stuck in a meaningless tag team, and is having a best-of-125 series with Three Minute Warning, despite being THE most over face on Raw. If Vince and company choose to fuck you over constantly, why put in the effort ? It's not that RVD doesn't have the skill, because he was great in his matches with Benoit/Guerrero/HBK/and even HHH, but why put in the effort if it isn't recognized ? It's not like RVD is just half-assing it, but he shouldn't give everything he has for a match that just won't mean anything in the long run.
-
Is it Booker T and RVD's job to pop a buyrate for WrestleMania ? We have Kurt Angle vs. Brock Lesnar, Hulk Hogan vs. Vince McMahon, Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho and (presumably) The Rock vs. Steve Austin. As far as I'm concerned, if you don't buy the card for that, nothing will get you to. HHH does not need to have a blockbuster-superstar match for this card since other matches are supporting it. If HHH went against RVD or Booker (or a combination of the 2), it would do just fine in a card filled with possible Main Events. Like I said before, you keep holding out on these pushes, they will never get done. Put HHH vs. RVD ( or HHH vs. Booker, I guess ) at WrestleMania and go for the freshness and possible success of it. If fans don't buy this card for Angle/Brock or Jericho/HBK, I highly doubt they'll do it for HHH/Nash.....HHH/Austin isn't horrible but I'd rather something fairly new instead of the same hashed-up match we've seen for the past few years.
-
Not ready yet. Now, where have I heard those arguments before ? Oh, right, WWE writers have used this argument consistently for certain people waiting to be pushed but haven't been thus far. There's got to be a time where these guys ARE pushed, and what better time than around WrestleMania ? You can sit there and say they're not ready yet, but when IS the right time to start their rise then ? If you keep holding it off, it will never happen. I personally found that RVD/Booker/HHH idea great, and it would be a fine Raw Title Match if they did that. Builds up both guys but doesn't leave them to carry on a one-on-one match with HHH if some don't think they're ready. But I mean...if you don't build them up now, when are you going to ? It's time to either shit or get off the pot when it comes to the rise of RVD and Booker T....

Ugh....please....no HHH/Steiner Part III. Part I hurt the eyes. Part II is likely to hurt the brain. What the hell could Part III do ? Especially when there would be no logical conclusion but to give Steiner the title. And then what ?! This feud hasn't exactly caught the excitement of WWE fans all over the world so I doubt they'll do a one-on-one match for a third straight month. I hope I'm right. Sting and Goldberg obviously shouldn't do the spot because: a) They're not even WWE-employed yet b) They haven't been in a ring for months, and shouldn't get shoved into a high-profile match at the biggest PPV of the year. Nash....get the hell outta here. Which practically leaves us with RVD and Booker ( and Austin, but we're assuming he fights Rock ). Personally, I feel Booker T is a little overrated and don't think he's God's gift to Raw. His interviews are below average, his wrestling skills are nothing better than mediocre, and some nights the fans pop loud for him while other nights the fans just don't care. I don't find the support for him consistant enough to warrant being given the World Heavyweight Title. RVD, on the other hand, may not be a great mat wrestler, but who on Raw is ? He does have good moves, if not a little repetitive, and the fans CONSISTENLY cheer for him every night. If I was Vince, it would be RVD vs. HHH at WrestleMania, which could actually be quite good. But since this is WWE we're talking about, HHH vs. KEVIN NASH - Quad Replacement on a Pole match for the World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania. That Vince is a genius !

Questions continue to fly as to who will face Triple H at WrestleMania. The WrestleMania card right now is expected to feature the Rock vs. Steve Austin, Brock Lesnar vs. Kurt Angle for the WWE Title, Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho, and Hulk Hogan vs. Vince McMahon. Booker T (along with RVD, Kevin Nash, and Scott Steiner) have all been considered as opponents for Triple H, but the Game is pushing WWE to give him a big name opponent. One possible option is to have him face Goldberg if they are able to sign him. The general feeling a few weeks ago was that if Goldberg signed, he would face the Rock, but not Triple H vs. Goldberg is being considered. Goldberg's signing remains up in the air as he does not want to work many dates, and WWE does not want to give him a high profile match and push if he isn't going to stick around or be there to build around. Goldberg has also not been a success in wrestling for years now, and odds are that a large percentage of today's audience doesn't even remember who he is. He got his fame in WCW years ago, and even his second run in WCW was more or less a failure. Sting is also being considered as an opponent for Triple H. Sting recently stated that is open to talking with WWE, but again, Sting was a star in WCW years ago and is not a proven draw today. Credit: 1wrestling.com ---------------------------- See, this is the problem right here. What the fuck is a feud with Goldberg going to accomplish ? What the fuck is a feud with Sting going to accomplish ? They are way beyond their prime, can't have a good match, and once again, Vince is bringing in an old WCW star right into the Main Event. We've seen how well this worked with Hall, Nash, and Steiner.... I like that. HHH wants a high-profile opponent. No RVD or Booker T for him. If he did what was good for business, RVD and Booker T would be built up enough by now to be considered high-profile. But oh-friggin-no, we're gonna bring in Goldberg or Sting. Yeah, Sting....that'll put asses in the recently opened up seats the wrestlers can't give away. If it's been said once, it's been said a million times....Vince McMahon has lost his mind.

If there is no intention of having Michaels retire after this match, then he can not lose cleanly. Period. You can not have Jericho trash him for 2 months, beat him in the center of the ring with a move that couldn't make John Cena tap out, and then expect the fans to think HBK could do anything worthwhile. If you listened, Hogan's support did drop after his match with Kurt Angle, because the fans saw Hogan as being too old for the WWE style if he taps out to the Anklelock. If HBK taps out to the Walls of Jericho, which has not been built up, his credibility is practically shot. I do not think Michaels should be the 1st ( or 2nd if we count Test ) victim in an "ass-kicking" Chris Jericho character. You have Jericho win, the fans will STILL think he's a pussy, like it or not, but now think HBK's a pussy as well. This is the same guy who used ASS CREAM last month and now he's expected to beat one of the top WWE Champs ever ? Give me a friggin break. Michaels shouldn't be used as push fodder. Have Michaels win at Mania. Jericho go on a rampage for a month. Beat Michaels at Backlash. Jericho could look like a more credible threat, instead of just beating HBK at Mania. Meanwhile, HBK can still go on with some sort of respect if he continues to wrestle. But if he gets called a has-been, gets punked out at Royal Rumble, gets told his ass will be kicked on Raw, and then is beaten at WrestleMania, you stepped all over his legacy and pissed off a LOT of fans - including me. -Okay, I'm signin off so don't think that if I don't respond, you won ;-). I'll write back soon.
-
Is it just me or is this that HHH argument all over again ? To RVD and Bubba Ray, HHH plainly told them that he could beat them and that they'll never be Main Eventers....and then he did.....and then they didn't Main Event. Didn't accomplish shit and only pissed people off. Same concept here. Jericho has been going off on how Michaels is a has-been and how he can kick his ass. What the hell is the point if Jericho goes in there, makes Michaels tap out, and proved that he actually could kick his ass? Makes Michaels look incredibly weak if he does decide to come back. I personally like the HBK squeaks out a win at WrestleMania, Jericho goes paranoid for a month beating the shit out of people on Raw for a month, then beats Michaels at Backlash in another closely-contested match. Makes the 2 guys more even, proves Michaels still has the ability, and proves Jericho can beat the legend. Accomplishes it all. But if Jericho says he can prove HBK's a has-been, and then does it, what the hell is the point ? It's the HHH Effect all over again, minus the big nose.
-
I still think Michaels can wrestle a match, so I guess it's just a matter of personal opinion. I saw nothing wrong in his HHH matches, RVD match, and the Elimination Chamber, but again, I guess it's all opinion. And again, in a time of falling ratings and plummeting interest, pissing off your fanbase isn't going to help. Jericho making Shawn Michaels tap out isn't going to get fans excited to watch Raw tonight or get people to pick up the telephone. "Hey Bill, guess what. That Jericho guy just made HBK tap out." "Ah, who the hell cares ? Got no reason to watch now" Jericho winning completely clean by submission isn't the way to go in this match. It wasn't the right decision in Angle/Hogan and it isn't the right decision now. Like Shanghai Kid said, Jericho will never be over as the dangerous heel. You can't have him and Christian playing pranks one month, and then him kicking Michaels ass in WrestleMania the next. It's unrealistic and just bad business. If Michaels thinks he can go, and the fans want him to wrestle, let the man wrestle ! Otherwise, you're further alienating your fan base and shitting all over a legend's reputation
-
You can't have Jericho completely punk out Shawn Michaels at the Royal Rumble, and then beat him clean at WrestleMania. I mean....they tried this same "Let's have everyone beat the legend" thing with Hulk Hogan and it only served to piss the fans off. The way I see it, if Michaels is planning to leave right after, or even a month, after this match, then sure - let Jericho beat him with a Lionsault or something. But if Michaels is staying for a couple of months or a year, you can't just end the match cleanly with a Walls Of Jericho submission hold.... I was at a King of the Ring party, and we all watched Kurt Angle make Hulk Hogan tap out. I could safely tell you that everyone I was hanging with (pretty much marks) didn't think that the Anklelock had instant cred now. It only pissed them off and convinced them that WWE doesn't want Hogan around anymore, which seems like a dumb move to me. And, let's not forget, a month after this submission win, Angle got his ass kicked at Vengeance. Instant cred, my ass. The move will not get over if ONE man taps to it. You can't make guys like Jeff Hardy and Goldust survive the Walls of Jericho and reach the ropes, while having Shawn Michaels just submit ! Like him or not, the man deserves more respect than to be forced to submit in a move that will likely lose credibility by the end of the next month anyway. The way I see it, WWE has booked themselves into a bit of a corner here. HBK got made to look likea bitch at Royal Rumble. If they do it to him at WrestleMania, it's basically the end of his career. He'll look like a complete chump. Yet, if Jericho loses, that serves no purpose either, unless a rematch is made. To say that Michaels should lose to an unover move that couldn't finish off scrubs is, without a doubt, one of the dumbest things I've ever heard.
-
I guess it's just me, but I still enjoy watching Shawn Michaels at this point. I mean, sure, the man doesn't seem too interesting right now, but it's probably the fact that he hasn't had a match in 2 months, so there's no element of surprise to his character. I enjoyed his interviews and matches with Triple H (yes, yes I did) and I believe that, for the most part, his interviews with Jericho have been pretty damn good too. I think that people on this board do hate Shawn Michaels for his political actions in the back, but you honestly can't say that - at this point - Shawn Michaels is giving some of the worst interviews in WWE. Shall we look at Triple H ? The Undertaker ? Booker T (Damn skippy, hippy ?!?! ) ? Nearly every time, Shawn Michaels does have a point in his interview and, just because he may not have a lot of fire and anger in it, it doesn't mean that they aren't good. From his 4 matches thus far, I think HBK still has it, both match-wise and interview-wise. But I guess I'm just in the minority here... By the way, I find that sig pretty funny too. You're not making light of the Holocaust, and I seriously doubt you consider HHH to be Hitler. It's just meant to be a joke, but some are a little high-strung. Anyway, I found it funny, with just the right amount of offensiveness. Good job....

-Arguments continue to be made both in favor and against giving Rob Van Dam a WWE World title run with the company. Those in favor say it would be necessary for RVD to have programs built around him because his chase for the title would be over, which is traditionally considered the turning point in a wrestler's career. Generally, a babyface chasing a major singles title is considered somewhat of an underdog, so the fans rally behind him for support. Once the chase is over, he is no longer the underdog, and it is up to the person himself to make the most of his opportunity. Those against the decision continue to offer the same explanation, he can't carry a long promo, and is a dangerous worker to put in the main-event slot with his reckless style of performing. -Shane McMahon seemed to truly like being back in front of camera's at the RAW 10th Anniversary special. Many believe that is why the storyline with Eric Bischoff having 30 days to turn RAW around or else Shane McMahon takes over was done to begin with. In actuality it wasn't the reason for the storyline itself, but was the reason for Shane McMahon to play the role of the guy who will be taking over if Eric Bischoff "fails". -As we reported several weeks ago before the RAW 10th anniversary show, WWE invited both Bobby Heenan and Mick Foley to be a part of the show. Heenan, who has been battling several health issues as of late gave WWE the excuse that he would have to buy a new tux for the show because his old “TV clothes” wouldn’t fit. WWE offered to pay Heenan for the appearance, but he still turned it down. As for Mick Foley, he simply turned down the offer because WWE wanted him at The World early for a 10-12 hour day. Foley wanted to show up, receive the award, and then go home. There are currently no plans to bring Foley back to WWE right now. Even if there were, Foley, at this point in his life, would probably shoot down the offer Credit: twnpnews.com -------------------------------------------------------- I don't know how much truth that RVD rumor has, but I think it'd be a very smart move for WWE to put the title on him. I'm sure it would get people talking and I think, if given the chance, RVD could get people into a feud. Anyone remember his feuds with Jerry Lynn or even Tommy Dreamer ? If given the chance, RVD could raise the HHH-Ego Title higher than where it is right now. ------------------ Thoughts ?
-
2 hours after Raw ends. Everyone has left the arena, including Steiner, with only a blood stain left in the ring. RVD - Dude....that fall from the apron to the mat must have knocked me unconscious. Uh....what's this blood stain doing in the ring ? What'd I miss ? Man...maybe one day I can be as great as the almighty Kane or Scott Steiner to make the beatdown save. But until then, I just remain the unpushed Rob....Van......Dam. *Lights turn out as everyone has completely left except for RVD*

Sorry, double post

Just ridiculous.....I mean....imagine the logic. Heyman: Vince, I have this great idea. Let's have Matt Hardy and Edge start a feud. It will be great ! Vince: Well, Matt does wrestle well enough. But that doesn't do it for me. Where's Albert ? ( Albert walks in ) Albert: Hey hey hey, what's goin on y'all ? Vince: Albert, have I got an angle with you. You're going to be going against Edge in a high profile feud ! Albert: That's great ! But why ? Vince: Well, you're big and that's good enough for me. See ya later Al ! And get Edge for me. (Albert walks in) (Edge walks in) Vince: Edge, forget that Matt Hardy feud. I'm putting you in with Albert ! And I want YOU to carry the matches, dammit ! Edge: But Vince, matches with Albert are hard. Vince: Dammit, Edge, have a good match or I'm going to blame you. Don't make me say YOU'RE FIRRRRRRRRED ! Edge: Fine, I'll try. (Few weeks later) Vince: Dammit, I told Edge ! This is all his fault ! That's it Edge, you're gone ! Now where's Bill DeMott ? ---------------------------- Just shows Vince's continuing spiral into senility. ( Albert leaves )

See, while some may think 3 titles are the best way to go, I don't necessarily think so and I think fans feel the same way. Maybe it's just me, but I always looked forward to Raw a little more when there was like 4 titles on the line in the same night. It always made it seem a little more unpredictable, plus gave some of my non-Main Event favorites a chance to win a title. From a fan's point of view, 3 titles are pretty much boring since once they're on someone, they stay there for a little while. And plus, we know HHH is gonna hold on to one of those titles already. And again, dropping back to 5 PPVs a year.....I don't know. If WWE would plan their stuff out a lot better, there would be enough time to properly hype PPVs. Anyway, I don't think that's the way to go either since PPVs, for the most part, promise quality matches. And I think fans would prefer seeing a PPV or getting an opportunity to go through 1, rather than sit through 3-minute Raw matches. On these topics, I'm looking on the fans' point of view, since I do believe that's the best way to run a wrestling federation. If the fans don't want to see HHH, fine. Try Kurt Angle. Don't want to see Angle ? Fine. Let's try RVD. No RVD ? How about Test ( ) It's about switching things up for the fans' enjoyment, which Vince doesn't do and I have a feeling SOME people here might not necessarily do here either. I mean...how many people would push Benoit to the moon even if the fans weren't responding ? Anyway, what pleases you may not please the fans, which is why I questioned the 3 titles/5 PPVs a year suggestion....but still, good ideas.

Now, I know that a lot of people here complain about WWE angles but really, how would you do it ? I realize that, during the Royal Rumble, most of you were very happy to see Jericho throw out Shawn Michaels so early ? But was that the right decision ? Because I know, if I ran WWE, my main goal would be to please the marks and majority of the audience by keeping HBK in longer. But apparently, many of you feel that that was actually better for WWE than giving the fans what they may have wanted. Also, while many of you don't like Scott Steiner, it turns out that (except for the Royal Rumble), he gets the fans excited. Yet, I've heard from many of you that Vince should just cut him which may not necessarily please many fans. I guess my main question is: How would you run WWE ? Would you do it to please the fans ( by which I mean the majority, and not the Smarks ), or would you do it to please yourself ( like Vince does, only with the hosses and not the talented guys )?I'm actually interested to know how you would do it.
