i think gilbertti is going to give raven his number one contender shot, raven wins the belt. gilbertti asks for a shot since he did give him the chance to fight for it, raven declines, glen turns face with mike sanders. OR raven fights jarrett first, wins, gilbertti challenges raven. if you know me, you would know that half of the stuff in wrestling i predict, comes true. and plus, its common wrasslin sense. mark my wordz.

no diatribe? dont be surprised if this board and the site doesn't work in 15 minutes.
-
no problem. if they dont see it here, they will see it elsewhere. and i knew someone would say "price as right 25 years later was the reason raw's rating was down" or something like that. and they call the wwf stupid for making excuses?

this isn't the first week the playoffs have been on

To follow-up the story I posted yesterday regarding Ron Killings being offered a contract by WWE, it's now known that Killings and WWE are still negotiating a deal. If a deal were to be reached, Killings would be a member of the Smackdown roster and would be placed into a feud with John Cena. WOL and PWTorch.com i think it would suck. when he gets there, he feuds with cena for a month then what? he just fights rikishi every other week?
-
put them in a piledriver position, then styles puts his legs over their arms, so that their arms are behind his legs if that makes sense. then he drops them face first on the mat pedigree style.
-
i never said anything about him going back to the wwf. i said he could have won the title, and not signed a new contract. then they would have been fucked.
-
thats not what they were thinking. if raven had one more match or appearence left on his contract and they gave him the belt and then he decided to "think it over" (signing a new contract), it would be fucked up. cause raven could have said "hold on, let me think about it" for 5 months and would have been able to keep the belt. or he could have went over to mlw, who does have a national 10 pm central time tv show and pulled a madusa or shane douglas and threw the belt in the trash or something. its a long shot, but its better to be safe than sorry. better to keep the promotion from crumbling than pleasing 5 fans.
-
i think everyone being negative is because they think this was the blowoff. it could have been, but what if its not. no one knows for sure. and devin is right. check the first page on pwtorch.com. every reaction for the tna ppv was positive. with a few casual tna fans claiming to love the main event or promise to order more.
-
if he is holing out for money, then he will resign before the next show if they dont give it to him
-
now what would have happened if he would have won the belt.
-
this is guy is a new fan and like the tna show, but he didn't agree with the ending and he still watches. why cant some of you do that? im not asking you to change your views but see that it might go somewhere other than down the drain like of you are thinking. AND people are seeming to base the whole show on the main event. if you wont order or support the show anymore because the main event was blown (some say it was blown, but the match was a great match. how can that be?), then what have you been ordering the show for for the past 11 months. there has never been a main event as big as this was, yet you want to drop the whole promotion because of the one main event? if that was the case, you should have stopped watching after the 1st show. malice vs shamrock isn't exactly show stealing MOTYC. and devin, like always, makes a good point. everyone who is mad, is being mad for the 1st timers. be mad for yourself. be mad that you over looked the first hour and 30 minutes only to base the whole show off the main event. i can name millions of wrestling shows that had horrible main events but some of the previous matches were good.
-
and tna listens to the fans. if we dont like something, they change it unless they have big plans for it (possibly the raven/jarrett drama). wwe thinks fans dont know what they want, in some cases its true, but they still dont try and cater to their fans. they just try what they want to try.
-
devin has made the best points about tna catering to their real fans and not the ones wh ordered because of hype. what hype, you haven't even ordered the show before. Good show nonetheless, it's clear that JJ is NWATNA's HHH but at least there's a strong undercard there to hold the show together. how. tell me how. because he still has his belt? and you know this is the end of this feud how? you have some kind of secret access to the tna staff meeting? if not, everyone who has said that should shut up. if you dont remember, how did triple h's feud go with kane? buried him with the katie vick angle. there goes that "trying to get other people to watch" thing. how did he kill rvd? with his promos. how did he kill scott steiner? both of them killed that feud. and the booker t feud was ok. booker got in SOME promo time and interaction backstage, but no offense in the wm match.
-
ok everyone who ordered to see raven win. would you be even more pissed if raven lost in a rematch next week and its basically like you wasted 20 dollars for nothing? and devin makes a great point. if dreamer would have won his feud with raven the first time they fought, then that would be it. when people think ecw, they think raven vs dreamer. it was a crazy feud. and i think with the fans behind raven, they could do a double turn with a heel vs tweener feud. it could work. raven cuts promos on jarrett, turning face, then beats up some chick, turning heel again. tweener. OR he could be the anti face like austin was.
-
see, theres another problem. for weeks, fans have been cheering and booing jarrett. and someone here said it, jarrett could murder a fan in the ring and still get cheered for it. this isn't the wwf. results aren't written out 15 minutes before show time on mcdonalds reciepts. they couldn't have just switched everything up and gave raven the belt after hearing the reaction, THEN being confused on what to do with him. then you guys would have said "jarrett should have kept the belt until they found something for raven to do." wrestling fans just dont know what they want sometimes.
-
whats missing? and i think there is a conflict of booking here on this board. some think he should have lost because of the hype. others say he should have lost because of the attacks. you just have to wait and see. you cant just not give them a chance cause they, in your mind, fucked up. they have booking plans. how do you know this feud is over? what if jarrett starts defending the belt every night, denying raven of a title shot with raven just attacking him every week until he gives him a shot. i think EVERYONE, dispite the "disrepsect" or whatever, that they showed you tonight, should wait until next week. yea, the big match had a sour ending, but you just got to let them finish the story. you dont read a book or magazine and toss it in the trash because the main character, or you favorite character died in the middle. or they took out a feature to your favorite game in the middle of development. maybe the ending of the book needed the guy to die for some sort of surprise ending. or the feature had to be tossed for something better.
-
And Corey, Raven put on a good match, and put in 70% of the offense. Booker put in maybe 30%.
-
you mean if the guys had creative control in their contracts.
-
RedJed has a good fucking point. Maybe they did blow the chance at a big payday or national exposure. But how in the hell do you know that Russo and Jarrett dont have a cage match for the world title 3 or 4 weeks from now. Right now Jarrett is the most selfish guy in the world. When Raven beats him you will be on his dick saying he is so unselfish and the WWF (ie. HHH) needs to learn from him. I think that they will go with a good ol' fashion cage, loser retires match with Raven going over. Lets see how you react after and if that match happens. And dont get it twisted, Im not happy he won, but you gotta look at it from both perspectives. He is nothing like Triple H. Triple H has dropped the belt once and has said "Nash is the only person im gonna lose the belt to." He has also had every single one of his match look like trash and has never put over his opponents. When Jarrett feuded with Styles, Styles was looked at as a legit contender. He didn't win, but wasn't he put over during his collision with Jarrett? Did Raven look like a mill...fuck that, a trillion bucks during this build up. Remember, BUILD UP. The build up to the big match. Not the build up to the ending. No doubt Jarrett is going to come out and say "I beat the odds" and blah blah, then Raven is gonna get tired of his gloating and challenge him to a rematch. I wonder how you guys acted when Foley lost his match at Rock Bottom, or Austin lost the Rumble in 1999. Or when Foley lost to Rock at the Rumble 99. Just wait, or try to. That's the problem with the WWF. They end their feuds too early. The last time they had a long feud was probably Triple H/Foley in 2000.

crowd has been alive all night.

the tag match (dlo/styles) had a great ending. i think siaki will turn face and desire will stay with young.
