Hunter's Torn Quad should kill himself
The Thread Killer replied to bob_barron's topic in No Holds Barred
I like this fight better here than at the Pit. -
I wrote out a reply to this thread, since it was about me. Then I remembered that it was BX who started the thread, so I erased it.

I'm only semi-retired, and there's a fat joke in there if you're quick enough. Also, no love for the Kent State joke? Man. Hoff. we need to find Stevie B., and then talk to Josh and the four of us can ruin this thing for old time's sake.
-
I was here then. I still lurk around TSM but rarely post. I talked to The Sh0ckmaster on AIM a few times, and he was horrified to find out how infamous he had become. I still watch wrestling, but only TNA/ROH and NOAH, no WWE. Snausages.

That scenario would actually be pretty good and make a lot of sense. I remember reading somewhere that Misawa's eyes are really bad now and that's why he works more tag and six man matches.

HTQ, do you think Misawa is too far gone physically to do for a younger star what Jumbo did for him in 1990?
-
When I was 12, my dad told me to dig a big hole in our yard in preparation for sprinkler system installation. Then he hit me in the head with a shovel and buried me in the hole. When I finally dug my way out, my family had moved away.
-
True. At least Rikio was a heavyweight...I don't know if Misawa would lie down for a Junior Heavyweight. The thing about a non-finish is this...it's not going to be a DQ, and it probably won't be a count out. If it's a draw, it would be a 60 minute draw...and the idea of Misawa going 60 minutes in the condition he is in right now terrifies me. That would be pretty hard to watch, IMO. He's good for 15-20 maybe or just tags now, in my opinion.
-
You think? I don't know, NOAH hasn't been one to hotshot the GHC around too much, and after his defense against KENTA at the Budokan going over as well as it reportedly did...I figured Misawa might actually put the kid over. Then again, his match against Morishima last spring would have been a perfect time for him to put Morishima over...but he didn't. Then again...he did put Rikio over. I dunno. It's a toss up to me.

TNA Comments which don't warrant a thread
The Thread Killer replied to dubq's topic in TNA Wrestling
Hey...if he DOES use this as an excuse, I will be one of the first people to cuss him out. I'm sure we have ALL lost people to cancer in our lives, and the idea of using that in a Pro Wrestling storyline is something that makes me sick. My point is...he hasn't done it yet...and we have no real proof that he was planning on it. Sure, it's not beyond the realm of possibility...but I prefer to reserve my wrath until he does it. As I said, there are plenty of reasons to find fault with Jeff Jarrett and TNA without picking gnat shit out of pepper. I don't remember the premise behind his feud with Legend, I only know that Legend is pretty much black balled in North America for giving a real interview in Europe saying that Jarrett's wife having cancer was Karma, and that he hoped she died, or something to that effect. Now THAT I can understand cussing out. -

Here it is. I was wrong...she was in labor when the thread started...but it was still another spectacular example of smark gun jumping. On the positive side, that thread also had one of my favorite quotes: "I'd mark if Stephanie gave birth to a hand." -

This is true. I remember when the date was coming that Stephanie McMahon was about to give birth, some dip in the WWE folder got all holier-than-thou because he figured that IF she had complications and lost the baby, some smarks MIGHT celebrate...and she hadn't even gone into labor yet. -

So it was in the Observer. So what? Just because something is reported in a dirt sheet, it doesn't mean that it's true. I will grant you that Dave Meltzer has plenty of connections in the industry and he doesn't base everything he reports on speculation like Wade Keller...but TNA has already proven once recently that they can mislead or work Meltzer if they want. The man recently devoted all sorts of space to an issue saying that Angle wasn't going to TNA...when he was...and planned to pretty much from the minute he got canned by WWE. So obviously, when it comes to TNA, we know Meltzer can be unreliable. This leads me to take anything he reports about TNA with a grain of salt. Just because somebody said that Jarrett is planning on coming back as a face, "perhaps" using his wife's battle with cancer as a ploy for sympathy...I think we're getting ahead of ourselves calling him an asshole, since we don't know if it's true or not. A couple of people have speculated that he plans to turn face and use his wife's illness as a reason. Until he's actually done that, don't you think you're jumping the gun a bit in calling him a prick and an asshole? Besides...why do you care if he uses his wife's cancer as a storyline? Only humans care about things like that, and you're not a human, you're a monster who had your humanity forcibly removed from you, remember? You don't care about the victims of 9/11 but the RUMOR of Jeff Jarrett exploiting his wife's illness gets an emotional reaction from you? What kind of monster are you, a Smark Monster? For all we know, it could be a bullshit rumor, totally inaccurate. Some people hate Jarrett so much that they will use any excuse to cuss him out. Why not use the reasons that we KNOW are true instead of the internet/dirt sheet rumors that we don't? That's what I was saying. -

Ultimate Fighter Season 4 the thread...
The Thread Killer replied to Lt. Al Giardello's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
He wasn't reading from cue cards. He's suffers from Nystagmus, a condition which causes the involuntary darting of the eyes, and it can be caused by chronic abuse of alcohol and barbituates. It's not uncommon in older people who have a history of substance abuse, even after they sober up. Mikey is a recovering alcoholic and drug user. I don't think they use cue cards for the interviews on The Ultimate Fighter. -

I don't know if I should be insulted that I was only #72... -
I'd mark if Steph gave birth to a hand. I need to say that I am at work, in my office, and when I read this I burst out laughing, and everybody looked into my office wondering why I was laughing while sitting quietly in front of my computer. *shakes fist at Mada*

Yeah! Let's judge people based on stuff that hasn't happened yet, and probably won't happen! Grrr! We're mad smarks! Rawr!

WWE News and Notes: WON 7/24/06
The Thread Killer replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
Oh man...I'd hate to think that is actually true...but it probably is. Is it possible that Gerwitz REALLY doesn't know who Bruiser Brody is? And hell...Hansen actually wrestled in the WWWF and was in that angle where he supposedly broke Bruno's neck! The guy doesn't even know the history of stuff that happened in the company he works for? Gah! -
Hoff has been an institution around these parts a hell of a long time...he's made a lot of better jokes than those.
-
He looked none too pleased at the fact that EVERYBODY in the room, including Shammy and Dana White were laughing at his expense. Didn't he make some comment afterward basically saying he would be happy to fight Ed afterward? That didn't appear to be taking it in stride to me.
