  1. Hmm, that would certainly be interesting, I will admit. But another issue comes to mind with that future: Would all of these feds gain television exposure or not? Or maybe just some of them. It seems to me at least that the federation(s) that did gain a television contract would have a distinct advantage over others and we could very well see the same thing all over again. Another thing, if the WWE were to die, it may leave a bad taste in the Network's mouths and it could end up that no network would want to pick up a wrestling program for a good, long while after the death of the WWE (maybe even 2 or more years) which could cause a lot of damage.
  2. RRR, how do you know that, if the WWE were to die a terrible death, that the federation that steps in to take it's place wouldn't be just as bad to it's fans? It's comfortable at the top, and WWE has grown complacent and doesn't feel the need to expand or improve because they are top dog, there are no other federations to run to. Smaller feds are always willing to cater to the fans in every way they possibly can just to keep business up and try to steal/share some fanbase away from WWE. They will bend over backwards for the fans simply because they can't do the same thing as WWE and get away with it. If they became the only big federation, I'm certain they would do the exact same thing WWE is doing right now.
  3. I honestly do not understand your line of thinking here. You obviously have some deep seated resentment towards Kurt Angle because you're blindly knocking him for what appears to be no good reason. Are you Kurt Angle? Do you have a magic crystal ball that tells you what Kurt Angle will do before he does it? All you are doing is speculating, yet you announce it as fact. Smarten up. Kurt Angle is more of a wrestler in the traditional sense than virtually anyone in professional wrestling today. The man IS wrestling, he's being doing it so long (I'm talking both amateur and Pro here) that you saying he has no love for wrestling is insane. He constantly works hurt in the WWE, while most superstars take time off for injuries. He wants to entertain the people doing what he loves, and he wants to do the right thing for business which is why he is wrestling and dropping the belt at Wrestlemania. And there is no way in hell the indies could possibly handle the influx that the death of WWE would create. They don't have a quarter of the resources of WWE, they have no TV contract, nothing. Only die-hard fans would seek out the shows, and that would just lead to a slow death as no new fans would gain exposure to the product.
  4. The only reason, and I mean the only reason I will watch the Lesnar/Angle match at WM is because it may very well be Kurt Angle's last match. And the fact that it's with Goldberg Redux makes me sad. If Kurt Angle wasn't injured and we didn't all know exactly who will win at WM because of it, this week would be a step in the right direction. But because Kurt is injured, it doesn't matter. Just tell the fans about Kurt's neck and drop the damn kayfabe bullshit.
  5. Just for the unenlightened, a hoss is a slang southern term for a very large, very strong pig.
  6. Yeah, I agree with the general sentiment on here. I just don't care anymore. I still watch, but I generally just busy myself with work or other tasks while it goes on in the background, and if I hear something interesting, I'll turn around and watch. It used to be that I would settle myself down on the couch for the entire show and really enjoy myself. I used to look forward to Monday and Thursday nights. Now I could care less. The only television habit I still have is my sunday night fox lineup (futurama, simpsons, king of the hill), and that's about it. That's the only thing I still look forward to on television. And now with Kurt Angle potentially retiring...well, I may just watch on rare occasions after that.
  7. This is just another "How can I keep working them to death, but have them remain healthier but entertain people less so I can do more house shows?" sort of thing from Vince.
  8. "So Kevin Nash, how does it feel to be back after that terrible quad injury?" "Well, I--GAHHHHHH"*pulls hamstring*

    Oh $hit....

This is unbelievable. Unbelievable. If Kurt Angle is forced to retire I doubt I could watch WWE any more simply because it would not be the same.
  10. Yeah, I suppose. Either way, we can speculate all we want, but it all comes down to just waiting and seeing what happens. I'd rather Kurt not take this risk but if he feels the need to do so I can't stop him. Let's just hope he gets through whatever happens no worse for wear.
  11. You know they are going to make Brock do some kind of move to Anlge during the match at Wrestlemania and then say that broke Angle's neck and give Brock credit for it. I know, that's what pisses me off more than anything. I'm tired of all the injuries being parts of angles.
  12. The marks won't even appreciate Kurt's sacrifice because the WWE has never let it be known to them that he is seriously injured.
  13. Kurt is TOO much of a company man. He sacrifices like hell for this company and how do they repay him? A crap title run that was essentially worthless. Vince should step in and stop him, but we all know all Vince is concerned with is the almighty dollar.
  14. Yeah, he dropped albert on his head from a botched F5 I believe, but I think it was after the camera's stopped rolling.
  15. Kurt Angle wrestled his olympic trials with a broken neck because he was so blind and driven. And in retrospect he said he regretted doing it because it gave him the neck of an 80 year old and almost killed him. I fear this is going to be another one of those "In retrospect.." moments.
  16. WWE doesn't think long term unfortunately. So in their eyes, I'm sure this is the only option. And they are stupid.
  17. Just because others have gone through it in the past and been okay doesn't automatically mean Angle will be okay. ONE mistake and it could utterly ruin Angle's life. And he's in there with The Green Giant remember, who's not exactly well known for being a safe worker.
  18. Screw Lesnar, he's not worth it. I haven't liked Lesnar since day one and I sure as hell don't want to see my favorite wrestler end his career or considerably shorten it just to get Lesnar over. Maybe this whole injury thing is just a work. It's all I can hope for now.
  19. Dr. Youngblood must be vomiting in terror with these recent turn of events.
  20. I guess... Like I said, I'm just anxious about Angle's safety. It seems incredibly stupid to even take the chance by wrestling with a bad neck, and that goes for any wrestler.
  21. Is Kurt actually injured here or what? Or are they just being incredibly stupid and having him wrestle at wrestlemania after all?
  22. What in the hell are they doing??
  23. "Brock Lesnar: Here comes the Lame" What can I say, the word lame works so well for a lot of these signs. "Brock Lesnar: Nintendo should sue" or something in reference to Donkey Kong.
  24. Undertaker: "Dead Man Inc.: A Decade of Lame" or just "A decade of Lame" "Dead Man Inc: Curing Insomnia for 10+years" Kurt Angle: "Get Well Soon Kurt!" or something along those lines. I like your Brock Lesnar sign idea, just make sure it's in bold green letters. Shannon Moore/Matty Hardy: "Shannon fears puberty" I can't think of anything for the Guerrero's or Benoit/Rhyno.
  25. Yeah, I saw that too. I was cringing while watching the whole segment, especially the olympic slam and when Brock rammed his head into the apron(!). It's a good thing he's got such a muscular neck, or else....
