    Smackdown vs. Raw 2009: News/screens

I'm guessing Cena will be in the legends game. Probably a few of those guys crossed off above will be in it. In SvR 2009 news, JR said in his blog that he is doing his voice recordings for SvR 2009 this weekend.

I like a lot of those but where do you put the Austin run-in and subsequent Mankind's Title win on RAW?

    Smackdown Spoilers for 05-09-2008

I think Taker/Edge should be a gimmick match this time around too to spice it up, however after Judgment Day what is it, two weeks to One Night Stand? And ONS is supposed to be nothing but gimmick matches again, so I'm surprised we are getting a cage for Orton/HHH other than if ONS starts new feuds for both.

I'd settle for the return of Volkoff in his DiBiase-like change trunks.

There sure are a lot of music games these days

I wouldn't see Guitar Hero being so much fun in a party setting but I went to a party for work where we played Rock Band and it was surprisingly fun. I think when you have the drums and singing and everyone going at once it adds another element. I found it fun just doing it but some people were talking about recording it and putting it on Youtube, which I just find odd.

    CTDWAT: TNA Edition

Rhyno and Cage in the clouds are interesting. I guess it would make sense if they win the tag belts at Sacrifice, having the champs. Otherwise seems kinda random. Also, the listing on my DVR for this week's Impact says "Cornette introduces the Egotistical 8". Is that what they are calling the random partners for Sacrifice?

Spring 2008 WWE Future Endeavors Thread

As mine finalized, I noticed someone else started one while I was doing so, as well as comments in the Random Thoughts. I guess this should get closed, sorry.

Spring 2008 WWE Future Endeavors Thread

I think, knowing past history that this will warrant its own thread, so I am hope I am not stepping on anyone's toes or repeating stuff. WWE post-Wrestlemania Spring Cleaning has officially started. While some developmental talents have been cut, there have been two main roster talents released so far: Dave Taylor Balls Mahoney Taylor was barely ever on, so not a huge surprise, although I wonder if they severed the ties with his training contract too. I didn't see anything too clear. Balls was really getting over in the Kelly Kelly storyline, it was dropped, he was on Smackdown jobbing to Big Daddy V a couple months back and his two year WWE run ended. For sources, I saw this stuff on Rajah, but I think it is on WWE.com too.

    WWE Backlash 2008

I'm not a Triple H hater, but I wasn't too excited to see him win. It probably is long overdue seeing he is a top star and hasn't had it in years, it's just to me more that he is almost above the title at this point. I don't mind him being champ, but it just seems like there isn't much to be done with him as champ. I hope I'm wrong. Someone said above this may lead to a HHH/Regal feud with the title changing back and forth and if that is the case, I am all for it. I would love to see William Regal get a World Title reign.

    Box Office Report...

I haven't seen Baby Mama, but I am guessing it cost more for the people who were in it and locations. Harold and Kumar was shot in Louisiana and Baby Mama takes place in New York, so if it was really filmed there, it would cost more. Plus, I think the people in Baby Mama probably get paid a little more than the Harold & Kumar people.

    WWE Smackdown (4/25/2008)

Just watching Smackdown on the TiVo right now and I loved Morrison's excuse for losing to Wang on Tuesday. It was Earth Day and he had been too focused on planting trees all day. I don't know, just made me laugh.

    Random Thoughts 3-27-08 to 5-28-08

I like the black shirt best without that nasty YOU SONS A MA GUN on the back, so if I were more likely to get one, it'd be the blue soccer one. I don't understand why the pizza looking one says "Served Hot and Fresh since 2004", he showed up in 07, so what significance is the 2004?

FYE.com is doing a 20% off sale right now with the exception of pre-orders. All the orders over $25 qualify for free shipping too. The code at checkout is 20WWEAPR. It looks like they still have some of their dufflebag giveaway and give you a WWE dufflebag when you order too.

Potential Big Problems for WWE Worker

No, Rey's been living in San Diego since he's been in WWE at least. With Atlanta, I gotta think WCW connections and the way they are wording it makes it sound like it is at least someone still under contract. So in my theory of somebody who was in WCW and on the roster in 2004 would include: Jericho Regal Big Show Chavo Palumbo Helms Jamie Noble Rey Shannon Moore That doesn't include women. I really doubt Rey, as I said above. Jericho I believe has lived in Florida since his WWE debut and I think Helms is still in the Carolinas. This doesn't include women as I really doubt it involves say, Torrie Wilson or people who weren't active wrestlers in 2004 (i.e. Dave Taylor or Finlay). It also could be someone like Kidman, who was on the roster in 04 and works in development now. I didn't do a ton of research, so I don't remember if this was the time period where Noble left the company for a little while. I don't know if any of those guys are the candidate either, I'd just think it would be WCW ties and obviously someone who was around in 2004. I'd just hope seeing it seems like they may not have been used in a while whoever it is doesn't get in too much trouble, but if they decide to bring the hammer down and it's someone like Chavo who already has two strikes, it could be pretty big.

    The OAO WWE DVD Thread

They had planned a 2nd Flair release which ended up being the Horsemen DVD that came out last year. I'd think with all the success of this run, they'd have to throw out another one. I'd love a collection like stated above and although expensive, if they threw it out at the right time, it'd probably still do pretty well.

    Wrestlemania XXIV Discussion Thread

For the person that asked about the DVD release, the official release on DVD and Blu-Ray (WWE's first Blu-Ray release) will be May 20. Wal-Mart is apparently packaging it with a free copy of the McMahon DVD for a limited time based on some early pre-orders on the website. The DVD thread in this forum has a picture of the cover art, which looks pretty similar to the Wrestlemania 21 DVD cover.

Comments that which don't warrant a thread

Yeah, King of Kong was pretty enjoyable. That and "My Kid Could Paint That" were two fun little documentaries to pop onto DVD recently.

    Random Thoughts 3-27-08 to 5-28-08

They probably kept BDV out since they already have Kane, Snitsky, Palumbo, Festus, Henry and Khali in the match and didn't want to have that many big guys involved. See, I don't know what the reason would be, but I don't know why that would be it. Big Daddy V has more seniority and credibility than most of those guys. He was even in the initial four pushed for the match. Has anyone had any reports of him at the fan fest? I'm just thinking maybe it is something like personal reasons he is away because he disappeared off TV like two weeks ago and pulled from the match last minute.

Comments that which don't warrant a thread

I didn't mind Scary Movie 3 and I will probably see Superhero Movie at somepoint just because I love all the Superhero stuff, but I can't understand all the money Epic/Date/Meet the Spartans kind of stuff make because those movies are so awful. I didn't see Spartans, but I had someone tell me how funny it was and I haven't trusted any of their judgement since.

    Wrestlemania XXIV Discussion Thread

I was wondering that/hoping that too. I think also because as it stands right now there are 2 faces and 5 heels and MVP is the sole Smackdown guy in the match. 3 RAW (Jericho/Carlito/Kennedy), 3 ECW (Morrison/Punk/Benjamin) and then MVP. I guess maybe Shelton is being pushed as somewhat of a face going into this now because of the match on ECW Tuesday (he didn't do any of his cocky stuff this week really and played face against Carlito) and the fact people are gonna pop for whatever crazy thing he does this year.

    This week in the NBA

My opinion on the age-limit always goes back and forth. It's one of those things, I think some of the guys would develop better, but at the same time, I don't blame them for going for the money. To that list of guys that were hurt by staying in college, I always think of Miles Simon from U of A teams with Bibby and Dickerson. I seem to remember them talking about him being a lottery pick after his junior year, he stayed in school, ended up a second round pick and got to play in 5 NBA games total for a total of 15 minutes. I mean, that's pretty drastic. Lottery pick, or a 19 minute career. Look at Robert Swift of the Sonics. He got that huge money and has barely played, if he went to college and stayed healthy he probably could've been a first round pick. While as fans, it seems wrong for that, but I can't fault him for doing what is best for him.

    Forgetting Sarah Marshall

Got to see a sneak preview screening of this tonight. Laughed really hard throughout. If you like the Apatow movies, you will like it. Although no nude Kunis or Bell, both did show a little more skin than I expected, so that was a plus too.
