The new Matrix Revolutions Trailer
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to Insane Bump Machine's topic in Television & Film
I'll definately see it. I hadn't seen the 1st Matrix til a little before the second was coming out. I really enjoyed the first, but I guess that's why I wasn't as dissappointed as the masses in the new one. The new one was entertaining, although slow. The techo-sex scene was really different and a lot of the conference scenes reminded me a lot more of Star Wars. I have yet to see the trailer (didn't know it was after the credits), but I have a feeling the last one will be more along the lines of the first. Although, they have had it done, before a lot of the backlash Reloaded got. Only time will tell. -
I have that true classic. I'm thinking Invasion of the Bodyslammers. I also love the Repo Cam! I have a ton, but it's been so long since I watched any (I slacked off on buying most of the 2002/2003 PPVs and just have been picking them all up recently to watch). So many classics, even if they are bad matches, they are just fun to watch. I'll have to go look at my tapes later to remember some of the goodness.

More on Rocky, I used to love back when he started getting big when he would throw on a headset and continue beating on his opponent while giving commentary.

Man, I never heard about him being sick! I loved Wesley since the first time I heard "Rock and Roll McDonald's" and listened to so much more. I mean, not many will scream of talent because it was random stuff thrown to keyboard demo type backgrounds, however his songs were fun and hilarious. I introduced him to a lot of people, it's sad to hear he passed.

Short lived TV shows no one seems to remember
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to King Kamala's topic in Television & Film
Thanks for the correction. I knew Rose Marie but for some reason I was typing Rosemary Clooney. I know Rose Marie from Dick Van Dyke because I used to love that show which made it all the funnier to see her in that role. Thanks again for the name and the correction, I was out of it when I typed that I guess. -
Short lived TV shows no one seems to remember
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to King Kamala's topic in Television & Film
There was a baseball show on FOX that used to air after the Simpsons in the early 90s. It was a major league team and the owner was played by Rosemary Clooney, portrayed a Marge Schott type character. I cannot remember the name of the show, but I know I used to like it. -
Toys R Us Buy 1 Get 1 free sale this Sunday
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to MarvinisaLunatic's topic in Video Games
yeah, true. I meant I only get the big addition. I have no huge attachment to LOTR like many of the fans, but I rather just get the "better" addition. -
Taker will no-sell Kimmel's jokes

They updated it saying Nash is not the Punisher, but another character and that Nick Cage is the Punisher. Now, I am pretty sure with trailers being around that Punisher is almost done, if not already and into the editing stages for next summer's release. Cage however is supposed to be Ghost Rider, so I think that they once again had a screw up and if the Cage bit is correct, Nash will be in "Ghost Rider".

I saw that too, but I am a completeist. I am going to get the 4 disc (which is what I bought of LOTR even before I ever saw the movie). -
Toys R Us Buy 1 Get 1 free sale this Sunday
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to MarvinisaLunatic's topic in Video Games
Thanks for the thread. I checked my Toys R Us today and picked up Def Jam Vendetta and NBA Street. I was thinking about Splinter Cell, but they were all sold out. I did get some cheat codes for Def Jam Vendetta for Joe Budden in his CD that I picked up yesterday, so I can right away start going nuts as Joe Budden. -
Kidman was over in the WWE. When the Invasion started, the two most over people in the Alliance that the crowd would not boo were Rob Van Dam and Billy Kidman. Kidman was pretty over with the crowd. Partially due to feuding with X-Pac, but the crowd liked him genuinely too. Then he got injured around early August and was pretty much out for the rest of the Invasion if I remember correctly. WWE just didn't remember that and didn't adapt to pushing him correctly. The next time he showed up, he was jobbing.

Hey! You got it! O.J.! Give him an O.J. Simpson gimmick! That'll be sure to get him over! Ah, I need to get this Russo-ology out of my head! Seriously, I don't mind some kind of gimmick to at least add a little life. I mean, there is nothing wrong with the vanilla babyface, but that's what it is, you can't expect growth or money being made out of it. If they gave John Cena a t-shirt in his old days after his big win, but still no real gimmick, it wouldn't have sold many. They give him one now with the twitch added in of "White Rapper", I think it would the potential to be a top seller, because he is so over now. A little something would be good. The basketball player (which was actually Jindrak's first WCW gimmick briefly on Saturday Night) is a little much. For some reason, I don't see the rapper as gimmicky as the mid-90's career era. Even the convict (which was used up on Nathan Jones) isn't too bad. It depends on what Jordan is comfortable with and the WWE is comfortable with putting on him. It seems that's where most thrive. Take some little thing out of real life. I think if when Cena was first coming in, people said he would be a rapper, most would laugh and shun it, but he's really gotten over with a lot of crowds now because of that.

Just to let everyone know, when I first read about this (I don't remember where though), it said it was part of the From the Vault series. Which means it is straight up what we want to see like the Michaels and no time wasted on a feature with mainly facts we either know or don't really care to know.

Most stupid thing a mark has said to you
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to IWD's topic in General Wrestling
I don't want to sound like a pompous jackass, but I mean, I love wrestling, I love talking wrestling, but if someone just doesn't know what they are talking about, I rather not talk at all. Not too many people know I am a fan, although I know tons (well, at least compared to other people I've talked to in person). One guy I know is pretty much the same as me, we could go on forever. Most others, I just rather not talk to. Actually, I had one tonight in work. Guy: Summerslam is going to be the best event ever! Me: No... it's not! Guy: C'mon! Look at it, it's going to be great! Me: Not when one of the few heavy promoted matches is going to be Shane/Bischoff Guy: What are you talking about? That match is going to be the best! It makes it even better that those two hate each other in real life! I mean, Bischoff took Shane's job! While he tried to justify Shane/Bischoff being the top match on the card, I figured it was best to return to working. -
I really hope it is Hurricane. Not just because I am a huge Hurricane mark, but the guy has done nothing of significance since Rocky put him over. No PPVs, not even the brand exclusive one. He'd be a fresh face and someone fun to watch.

it's not going to kill me to have no Palumbo or Jones, but I just wish for once it would be full roster. I mean, most sport games have every single player, I just wish it'd be the same. No Mercy had most, but still skipped quite a few of the jobbers, they at least put their pictures in the CAW. SYM is great, but it still lacks guys here and there like Tommy Dreamer and Crash Holly. I mean, they already had Crash in Smackdown 3. I still will get the game and don't want to seem to complain too much, I just think it'd be nice to have no omissions, every official "Superstar" on the roster.

I've got 16 hrs to fill with nothing but...
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to a topic in General Wrestling
ALEX WRIGHT VS. PAUL ROMA... SUPERBRAWL V! well, maybe not that... I know that I've wanted to see (and this is why I suggested it in the other thread about tapes to watch) Vader/Sid vs. Sting/Bulldog from Beach Blast 93. Throws a little bit of Wrestlecrap, Sting/Vader and one of Bulldog's WCW appearances. Don't know if the match is very good, but it's a suggestion... a lot of the REALLY, REALLY good stuff off the top of my head has been picked. Maybe some fun gimmick thing like the first World War 3 in 95. I watched that recently and some interesting faces are in that match as jobbers. Young Chris Kanyon and Mr. JL. And finally, another one I've yet to see, didn't Arn Anderson fight Ric Flair? Once again, not sure if it's good, but with those two, at has to be at least a little bit good and with those two, it's something every fan would "never think they'd see". -
An educated guess at Shane's SummerSlam role
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
I like the point you make here. What if: Shane comes down and distracts/holds Kane back enough for the Van Terminator to be hit. RVD makes the quick pin. RVD and Shane do their cocky little celebrations as go with their characters. BAM! Seconds later Monster Kane is up, surprisingly not very phased and beats the holy hell out of both men. Maybe pull an injury angle on one of them. The only flaw with that is it wouldn't create a blowoff to the feud.... -
it's probably too late... but go for Beach Blast 93. I always wanted to see that one.

An educated guess at Shane's SummerSlam role
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
Minus the workrate. Although I do agree. As many have said, he should've gotten the belt back at No Mercy. If Kane doesn't get the belt within the year (which is still a little long), I believe the Kane gimmick will be dead. He is pretty good for a big guy and has given a lot, to have been a main eventer for the better part of 6 years now and held the title for the grand total of 1 night. -
What games are you looking forward by Christmas?
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to a topic in Video Games
I think Batman: Dark Tomorrow gets released on the PS2. I haven't heard great things about the X-box version, but I mark for Batman. Probably the next NBA Live and stuff also, off the top of my head. -
I hope Harry Smith did well this evening
LivingLegendGaryColeman replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
I hear Roker has a greater moveset since the stomach staple. -
They made those now? I'd like the Ferrell one probably... but Molly Shannon? That should have never been made... She is in my opinion one of the unfunniest people on that show. All her characters were the same in different costumes. I think some of the newer ones are less released, because I remember seeing a Best of Tim Meadows online when he first left.

it'd be funny if it was a real reaction because that is pretty much what Tom Green does to everyone... and he'd get mega-pissy about someone doing it to him...
