Another quality episode yesterday. I am greatly enjoying this slow build.
-
Anybody? Did anybody actually get the magazine in question? What is the story inside?

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA And Dan, you have to understand, the vest is necessary for his new gimmick: Y2Pimp, Savior of the WWE via hoes and the slapping of.

My favorite thing about Lawler is how he has great heat during everything he does except for the actual match. It is always DEAD silent during his matches.

I think "Don't forget the right hand" is the greatest piece of wrestling advice ever.

True. We all know steroids bulk up the mind muscles as well.

Is it just me, or has this been an extremely sloppy night tonight? It hasn't necessarily been bad. First of all, with the six man being sloppy (Kennedy almost killed Matt Hardy in the ropes after he botched the crap out of the Side Effect) and Orton almost botching the timing on the weakest elbow to the knee, the action has been a little off. And then, its like they decided this would be the one week the wrestlers went out without a script. Batista was so freakin' bad on the mic, it was hilarious. I am pretty sure he was on something while trying to deliver his lines. And if HBK said "when you think about it" one more time, I was going to throw my remote at the TV.

From PWInsider.com: Apparently not only did Carlito lose twice in Puerto Rico (where he is said to be a huge star), but also WWE.com has put all of his merchandise on clearance.

In fact, when playing as my own created defensive player, I found myself getting offensive achievements (yards, TDs, etc.) for things I wasn't even on the field for. It was an easy way to knock it out.

There is only one ending for Twilight Princess.

Taken from here: That site has been very on top of the WGA strike, and has been very reliable with their info. That being said, it has yet to be officially reported anywhere else, so for now it can only be tagged as a rumor. But, it makes sense. After dropping The Amazing Race early, CBS is not as prepared for the strike if it heads into spring and will need more reality/sports programming. Viacom could easily restructure or just simply scoop up the UFC programming. And, if it goes all the way and shows up on prime time TV, it will be interesting to see if it catches on and becomes a big hit, or if CBS's normal (read: older) viewership gets turned away by the violence.

One of the reasons that the Office is the best comedy on TV is that is develops its characters very very well. They don't always throw it in your face that "this is how ___ is changing! look at it!!!!", they do it subtlely . That credits sequence was a perfect example. I do agree, whenever it is off, it is still entertaining. When it is on, there is no doubting its the best comedy on TV. If you haven't found anything to enjoy in this season, then you are just looking for things to crap on.

I wonder what impact that will have, if any.

I thought this last episode, although well put together and well acted, was a little weak in its reveals. I understand that they didn't want to jump in deep to why Reese is on "The Wall" (i.e. save it to build to a conflict later), but it almost seemed like it was unnecessary at this point. Also, the final scene in the bank was a little bit too much cheese for me. Otherwise, a solid episode. Any series that can throw an Xbox into the mix (a modded one at that), make it relevant, and not crap all over it gets a plus from me. Another thing, and I think about this each week when I see it, this cast is perfect with their extra little pauses, and smirks and facials. Damian Lewis' extra beats, or little extra look at someone while they are talking are examples of the perfect subtleties that make this show awesome.

He has said in many interviews that when he comes back, he wants to come back as a full time, full on performer. He sounded like he wanted to come back main event, work all of his normal dates, and wrestle as if he never left.

I could've sworn I heard that HHH told Brooke to cut her hair and she refused.
-
It's nice to see that Tim Kring actually realizes the mistakes he has made with this season and has a focus to correct them. Of course, if the strike doesn't end soon, we'll have to wait for-freakin-ever to actually see any positive changes.

I read Jericho's book. It is a fantastic read. I don't think he has Foley beat storytelling-wise (for a comparison), but he holds his own. It is a great look into his being brought up from start to WWE. He also tends to walk the line between kayfabe and real in the book. There are things that happen (especially when talking about his matches) that he describes in kayfabe, and others he just comes out and breaks. But, overall, it is a great read.

Count me in on the side that is being entertained tonight. I do agree with them not really progressing storylines forward as well as they could be. And yes, there are a lot of random cameos and its one big clusterfuck, but hell, its fun. I am just having a fun time watching this show. Even that WGTT/Duggen-Crazy match was entertaining, even if it was due to the odd beginning and failed chants. Every now and then they are allowed to go off kilter and have a bit of random fun. -
There is a fantastic blog covering the strike on the LA Times website.
-
Cena put himself out. Unless you want to blame Kennedy for it. On TV and wwe.com they built it like it was Orton's RKO on the table that injured Cena.
-
That article brings up a good point. There are a lot of people caught in the middle of this that have to make decisions and may be blacklisted based on what they choose to do.

After reading this thread, I DVR'd the ep to see if it really was as bad as you two were proclaiming it to be. I have to say, this was the absolute worst TV show I've seen in years. There appeared to be no true point to it. The animation looked like it was amateurs with pro tools and the voice acting was too bush-league. Oh yeah, and the writing was horrendous. That show almost ruined Adult Swim for me.
