I'm really quite looking forward to Survivor Series, it looks like it'll be an entertaining show. I'm putting a lot of faith in this show, I'm getting the PPV in my house at uni and about 10 of my friends that have never watched a WWE PPV before will be watching. In fact most of them haven't watched wrestling properly before. I've shown them a few ROH matches and most all of them have been really receptive. It'll be interesting to see what they think of more or less the anthesis of ROH.

I know London, Cardiff and Salisbury (where Stonehenge is) all pretty well, so if you have any particular questions let them fly.

I went and saw Art Brut last night and they were brilliant. I can't believe I passed up seeing them the last couple of times they toured.

I've had 77 for quite a while now and really like it. I've got nothing but good things to say about "Uh Oh Love Comes To Town." I've been meaning to pick up something else by them for quite some time now. Finally got round to it yesterday with "Remain in Light." Picked it up from Fopp for £5, not bad. Need to get around to listening to it now though.

What's so dislikeable about Zach Braff? I'm quite the fan of his.

Season 5 hasn't even finished being run over here in the UK. I've already seen all of it, however I need someone to gasp with already over the cliffhanger ending. It's getting harder and harder not to tell people. I went back and watched some of the earlier episodes from season 5, and I hadn't noticed before but the first episode from the interns eyes, the intern was Keith. That was a nice little touch, it makes him a little less obnoxious knowing that he had a crippling fear of talking at the begining.

Ring Of Honor: 10/27(Dayton) and 10/28(Chicago)
Garth replied to Hawk 34's topic in General Wrestling
I like where they're going with the Joe/Danielson series. They could have done the obvious and based it round pure wrestling. I like that they have done the opposite and made it a hate filled exchange. We don't yet know if the title will be put on the line yet though do we? I wouldn't have thought that the match would occur without it being for the championship. -
Clearly Samoa Joe. Rhino & Alex Shelley aren't far behind either.

Ring Of Honor: 10/27(Dayton) and 10/28(Chicago)
Garth replied to Hawk 34's topic in General Wrestling
Sounds like a solid show, I expect tonight to be even better. Delirious vs Corino interests me, wonder how that one will pan out. -
It hurts me to know that Alex Shelley is the biggest jobber in TNA this year, so far. He's over, why isn't he getting more wins? His partnership with Nash is gold and has given him time to talk, the crowd have connected with him. Why isn't he getting a push in the X-Division or something I ask, why?

This write up of the different line ups is far from comprehensive, I've missed off all the bands either not designated to a certain stage yet or playing below second stage due to not wishing to spend another hour typing this up. So, is anyone on here going/planning on going to any of these festivals? If you are, or aren't far that matter what are your thoughts on the differing line ups for this year? Better/worse than last year? I'm throughly excited for Reading this year: Pearl Jam, The Raconteurs, Placebo, Peaches, Slayer, Coheed & Cambria and Belle and Sebastian leave me with a sense of childlike joy about the festival that I haven't felt towards it for a long time now. I didn't manage to get my ticket though as I was working in London that week, so looks like Ebay again for me this year.

I was at the Broxbourne show last night, the card was more or less completely reshuffled due to Austin Aries suffering cracked/broken ribs. The results were as follows: Aries promo to start the show, lets the crowd know he can't wrestle tonight. Danielson comes out and gets in his face, this eventually leads to the announcement that Roderick is going to face Danielson for the title later on tonight after Strong gets in Danielsons face. Upon Danielsons exit from ringside SUWA comes and canes Danielson. 1)Go pinned BJ Whitmer following a moonsault. Really hard hitting back and forth encounter. 2)Jonny Storm pinned Spud with the Wonderwhirl in a match also featuring Jody Fleish. Fun stuff, showcased a few of the better known UK fliers. Hopefully Storm can maybe get a few more ROH bookings following this. Post match the Kings of Wrestling - Claudio and Chris Hero as well as Chad Colleyer invaded the ring and gave the British a pasting. Hero got on the mike and trashed British wrestling, all the while being soundly barraged with TP. Nigel and Robbie Brookside made the save to a huge reaction, challenging Chad, Claudio and Chris Hero to a match. Eventually Cabana came to join the UK guys. 3)Nigel McGuiness, Robbie Brookside & Colt Cabana beat Chad Collyer, Claudio and Hero. Robbie took a beating most of the match. Nigel pinned Collyer following a lariet. 4)Danielson pinned Suwa with a small package. Danielson got busted open during this match after a chair to the back of the head. 5)Doug Williams over Jimmy Rave after the Chaos Theory. As per usual Jimmy was drowned in a sea of toilet paper. It was fun watching everyone preparing their TP prior to the match. It was an absolute blast being able to interact with the show like that. Rave got nailed in the head with one roll and went down. Gold. 6)The Briscoes beat Matt Sydal and Davey Richards after a Cut-Throat Driver and Leg Drop combo on Matt Sydal. Probably my match of the night. Hadn't seen Davey wrestle before, was throughly impressed. The match was crazy, can't wait to see this again when it's out on DVD. 7)Bryan Danielson retains the ROH World Title via TKO against Roderick Strong. Match went about 20 minutes Strong managed to counter the Elbow Strikes and get back to his feet, it looked like he was going to hit the double knees but Danielson sneaked in a few more elbows, Strong hit the mat, Danielson applied the Cattle Mutilation, it was all academic after that. --------------- The show was allot of fun, I feel it would have been better minus the Aries injury and the card reshuffling, there's nothing that could have been done though.

MMA Comments that Don't Warrant a Thread
Garth replied to RavishingRickRudo's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
So, wheres a good place to start for someone that is completely new to the whole world of MMA? Is there a particular promotion I should look into or one particular fighter worth investing time in to begin with? Help me out, it would be much appreciated. -
Once Joe has the belt I think the title defences I'm actually most excited for will be: Joe vs Rhino and Joe vs Abyss. It's only a matter of time now.

I quite like Dragonforce actually, I remember getting a copy of their first album off a friend about 3 or 4 years ago now and have beena fan ever since. Rocking out to "Valley of the Damned" was a favourite of ours in college. I was suprised that they actually took off, even though I do like them, it's obvious that they're a bit of a joke. I'm just not sure even half the people I see in the Dragonforce t-shirts are in on it.

Pleased to hear about Aries and Kazarian returning. Enjoy both mens work and if Aries goes to the X division and Kazarian along with Bently goes to the Tag divison then both men will certainly be adding something to the product. Couldn't care less about the Naturals, it's not that I don't like them or anything, because I do. I don't get excited one bit if they're on a card or not.

The countdown is on, only 3 days until I get my Lite now. Huzzah.

With all due respect to Kobashi's decision, that plain sucks. Again, I hope everything turns out okay and for a speedy recovery, all the same.

It certainly appears that way after consulting the win/loss records. Another enjoyable hour of content from the TNA gang. Especially liked: -Joe looking totally bad ass on the ramp when he was annouced as being in the four way. -Joe choking Steiner. -Lethal and Sabin as a team. -The whole story of Eric trying his best not to get fired, stopping Team Canada from cheating was allot of fun. Not so great: -No Senshi follow up this week. Not the best way to start off a championship reign. I gladly would have taken a Senshi squash over a Brown squash. The four way seems very intreguing, the rest of the Victory Road line up thus far leaves me feeling disinterested.
