Just how bad will Jersey Girl be next year?

I won't. Smith is good at movies, lousy at comics. -

WATERWORLD actually made a lot of money... but when you have the most overbudget movie of all-time you have to make more than that. -
Guilty pleasures? Matches your love...

"Little Naitch" Charles Robinson vs. Gorgeous George - it might not strike everyone as funny, but I found it to be hilarious! I like the Lethal Lottery matches (the first couple of years that they did them). I just dug the concept. Anything with Koko B. Ware in it. And Undertaker/Kane vs. Kronik is awesomely funny! -
Does anyone besides me remember how they announced the brackets for the WM4 tournament and then they were changed a week or two later?

Last night, NECW celebrated it's 3rd anniversary in front of a near sellout crowd at Good Time Emporium in Somerville, MA. NECW's 3rd Annual BIRTHDAY BASH was sponsored by Budweiser and Boston's Weekly Dig Newspaper. In the opener, K.L. Murphy defeated Kid Trance to retain the "Murphy Cup". "MoFo" Steve Bradley then came down to the ring for an interview. Bradley talked about how he should have been one of the participants in the 4 Way, 45 Minute Iron Man Match taking place later that night for the NECW Heavyweight Championship. NECW President Sheldon Goldberg then entered the ring and told Bradley that this should teach him a lesson- had he done things the right way and not wasted his potential by being a punk, he could have had his title shot tonight. Goldberg then warned Bradley not to interfere in that match. Bradley vowed to become NECW Heavyweight Champion someday and gave his word that he would not interfere in the match later that night. In an action-packed triple-threat mixed tag-team match, El Boriqua and Mercedes Martinez defeated the teams of D.C. Dillinger and Nikki Roxx and Kid Mikaze and Sumie Sakai. Pain defeated Psycho Mike Osbourne in an anything goes "Bring the Pain" match. Next up was title vs. title match for the NECW and ECWA Tag Team Championships between NECW champions J-Busta and Johnny Idol and ECWA's champions Matt Striker and Ace Darling managed by E.S. Easton. This match was declared a no contest and each team retained their titles after both teams became frustrated with the joint officiating of the NECW and ECWA referees and knocked both refs out. Zaqary Springate III with K.L. Murphy defeated Brandon Locke with El Boriqua in a "Coward Waves the Flag" match due to outside interference by Murphy. The team of Chris Venom and "Rapid Fire" Brian Fury squeaked by the Noize Boyz for a victory, but The Noize Boyz unleashed a vicious post-match attack on Venom and Fury and these two teams are far away from settling anything. In the main event, in a bout that will go down in history as the greatest bout in the history of the promotion, Maverick Wild retained the NECW Heavyweight Championship over Antonio "The Promise" Thomas, "Brutal" Bob Evans, and "The Golden Greek" Alex Arion in a 4 way, 45 minute Iron Man Match. "MoFo" Steve Bradley attacked Alex Arion on the outside, bashing his already injured ribs with a baseball bat. Arion was taken out, but came back later to finish the match. The action was intense and the battle closely fought throughout and at the end of 45 minutes each wrestler ended up with 2 falls apiece. Just as referee Scott Dickinson was going to declare the bout a draw, NECW President, Sheldon Goldberg said that NECW promised a winner in the match and the bout would continue in a "sudden death" overtime and that the next man to score a fall would be declared the winner. After ten more minutes and the crowd going crazy for each near fall, Maverick Wild scored the final fall when he pinned Thomas with a school boy while Thomas had Alex Arion in a submission hold. Thomas was very upset after the match and claimed that he got Arion to tap out before Thomas was pinned, but referee Scott Dickinson only saw the pinfall, not the tapout so Wild was declared the winner. Post match, each man congratulated Wild as the crowd gave all four men a standing ovation. http://www.necwwrestling.com

the NWA's worst gimmicks of the 80's!

what was the new breed, exactly? Someone else will have to give you the precise details. I jus know that they were from the year 2043 (or some such nonsense) which was a future where Dusty Rhodes was President of the USA. -
You have this backwards. They started as the WCA and became the Avengers West Coast when Byrne came on the book. Much like Solo Avengers became Avengers Spotlight at the same time.
-
I'm fine with most of the results. Quite glad that the WCA made it to Round Two! A little surprised that the JSA lost to the GLs.
-
Damn! I forgot Van Hammer, too!

Man, I was sooo addicted to Word-tris!
-
This is garbage. As is the lastest storyline in FLASH while we're not on the subject.
-
I like some of Jackson's work but he really hasn't released anything worthy of getting Best Picture or Best Director.

What the hell are you talking about?
