I may be rooting for the Rays but even I'm wondering why Beckett was left in the game that long.

Penn State is rolling Wisconsin as the Badgers season has fallen apart in a real hurry. Nittany Lions might be for real and JoePa might keel over during a game at some point.

Damn where'd all the points go in the OK State/Mizzou game? 10-7? What's this shit? I wanted a 70-63 shootout god dammit! Oregon State is up 66-13 on Washington State. So far this year against I-A teams, Wazzu has been outscored 307-64.

Auburn loses at home to what has been by far the worst team in the ESS EEE SEE, Arkansas, 25-22. Tuberville may have to beat Alabama to save his job. And good on UNC for beating Notre Dame as the last thing we need is the Irish back in the Top 25 and on their way to stealing a BCS bid. They still might steal one since they should be favored in all of their remaining games until their finale at USC.

STANFORD~ edges the omnipotent Arizona Wildcats with a last minute touchdown! 4-3! 3-1 in the Pac-10! Undefeated at home! You just don't walk into half empty Stanford Stadium and expect to get a "W" motherfuckers!

Sorry guys, turning 30 last week apparently has lead to early senility.

As it turns out it was Vern Gagne's picks I posted for both you and Vampiro. I had Vampiro resubmit his picks to me and they matched the ones I recorded in my spreadsheet originally. So here are Vampiro69's picks: THURSDAY Clemson at Wake Forest FRIDAY Louisville at Memphis SATURDAY Texas vs. Oklahoma (in Dallas) Iowa at Indiana Colorado at Kansas South Carolina at Kentucky Kansas State at Texas A&M Notre Dame at North Carolina Michigan State at Northwestern Arizona at Stanford Iowa State at Baylor LSU at Florida Penn State at Wisconsin Oklahoma State at Missouri Tiebreak #1: How many total points will be scored in the Texas/Oklahoma game? 47 Tiebreak #2: How many passing yards will Missouri's Chase Daniel have against Oklahoma State? 287 That's fine. I'll still use the replacements for this week but you can return next week.

MrRant and Obi Chris Kenobi did not submit picks so they are effectively out of the contest and their teams are put on "probation." They are free to reclaim their teams and play out the season but we've never had that happen before. Again the preassigned replacement picks and tiebreaks will apply. Auburn has fired offensive coordinator Tony Franklin after just six games on the job. I'm sure this will solve their quarterback problems.

There's a Division III quarterback named Assmann! Why hasn't HarleyQuinn alerted us of this before?

Because people have been running that story into the ground ever since the 2002 playoffs so why stop now? Go Rays.

All four my match-ups so far this year have come down to the Monday game.

Here's your BCS update. There's now five of the six computer rankings available so the unofficial rankings are pretty accurate at this point. Big development is Vanderbilt made a huge jump in the computers after beating Auburn and they are currently #8 in the unofficial standings. Also as it stands right now Utah is ranked above BYU although the Cougars have a chance to change that the week after next when they travel to TCU. Nothing too surprising about the Top 6 except maybe LSU down at #6 as the computers are not big fans of them at the moment but that can change by beating Florida. Unofficial BCS Top 14 per collegebcs.com 1. Oklahoma 2. Alabama 3. Missouri 4. Texas 5. Penn State 6. LSU 7. USC 8. Vanderbilt 9. Utah 10. Georgia 11. Texas Tech 12. BYU 13. Ohio State 14. Boise State

Since Ohio State/USC ended up being a dud, the new Game of the Century of the Decade of the Year of the Week is the annual Red River Rivalry game between Texas and Oklahoma. Red River Shootout was such a better name for the game and I don't know why the decided to change it a few years ago but I'll just assume it's because Longhorns and Sooners fans like the shoot at each other or something. It's rare now to get a game this big to kick off a Saturday but I actually kinda prefer it that way. Not to be overlooked is another big game in the ESS EEE SEE as LSU takes on Florida. LSU can solidify themselves as one of the top contenders for the MNC while Florida can possibly play themselves back into the discussion with an impressive win. Being that it's LSU/Florida expect Les Miles to go for it on 4th down at least 67 times. Now if you are looking for a turn your brain off and just watch two teams light up the scoreboard for almost four hours type of game, then Oklahoma State/Missouri is for you. Both teams so far this year are averaging over 50 points a game and only Tulsa is scoring more per game than these two. I'm not a betting man and I have no idea what the over/under is for this game but um, bet the over.
