  1. In the opening match of the currently ongoing WWE Smackdown house show in Rome, Italy, Nunzio defeated Juventud Guerrera to win his second WWE Cruiserweight championship. Nunzio slipped out of an attempted Juvidriver, pulling Guerrera into a backslide for the pin. -- PWInsider =========== Reports had been saying that Juvi's been a heat magnet backstage for stealing other people's moves and spots. I read a report in a WON recently that Eddie & Benoit recently went to Juvi together and chewed him out over it, and Juvi still didn't stop. According to Meltzer, Juvi thinks he's invincible because he's a favorite of John Laurinaitis. Laurinaitis thinks he's funny.
  2. Youth N Asia You're quickly becoming unpopular with me. And no one is asking you for this information.
  3. 500th reply. Right here.
  4. Just working out doesn't make your heart enlarge. That's steroids. And you're a fool if you think Eddie wasn't on the juice.
  5. For some reason, this doesn't bother me since I know Howard's reputation.
  6. Um, Ken Kennedy is not Arn Anderson's son.
  7. It takes weeks for toxicology reports (which sadly have usually become standard for wrestling deaths). Autopsies are usually immediate.
  8. Please don't turn this into another I-Hate-Vince-McMahon thread.
  9. You cannot blame WWE for Eddie's title reign. Meltzer said that Guerrero was originally supposed to be a long-term champion until at least November 2004, but he was in the verge of a mental breakdown because Smackdown business was soft when he was champion and was putting way too much pressure (and blame) on himself. So Vince & Eddie agreed that it would be best for him to take the belt off of him early. Eddie just couldn't handle the pressure of being a world champion when business is down.
  10. Meltzer said in his Sunday update that the original plan was to have Randy Orton win the World Title in tonight's triple threat match, not Eddie Guerrero. He also said Batista has opted for rehab over surgery, so he will only miss 4-to-6 weeks. They probably won't even take the belt off him now.
  11. From TNAWrestling.com TNA JOINS THE WRESTLING WORLD IN MOURNING THE PASSING OF EDDIE GUERRERO On Sunday morning, TNA joined the wrestling world in learning of the unfortunate and untimely passing of Eddie Guerrero. The mood backstage in Orlando is solemn, as many TNA staff and stars were close with Eddie and worked with him throughout his career. Everyone in TNA will keep Eddie and his family in our thoughts and prayers in the days and weeks to come as we say goodbye to a friend...
  12. That was actually one of the first things I thought of when I heard of Eddie's death. "Wow, Smackdown is really FUBAR now." And if Benoit leaves and goes to TNA...good lord.
  13. I might order TNA Genesis in an effort to help me forget about this.
  14. They'll probably hold off on the funeral until the tour is over. But they can't cancel any dates because they're taping the next round of Raw and Smackdown shows there.
  15. And we really should be thankful for the fact that we had Eddie for as long as we did. He should have died in that car crash and the overdoses. We really had Eddie for a lot long than we were supposed to.
  16. Preparations for a European tour. They need to go on and do both shows.
  17. Not to belittle his death or anything, but Smackdown is really FUBAR now. But this is one of the most unbelievable deaths since Pillman. It feels just like Pillman. And to think, he was probably going to win the World Title tonight. Oddly enough, it's almost 4 years to the day that he got fired from WWE for having that DUI. I really hope nothing foul is discovered here, drug-wise. I just watched his DVD less than a month ago. I feel awful. RIP Eddie.
  18. Great chance for continuity here. Remember how Randy Orton said he hurt his shoulder trying to tombstone The Undertaker at WM21 and then Batista hurt it even worse the next night, forcing him out? Simply have Orton pound the shit out of Batista's injury in an effort of payback. Then have Orton slip on the banana peel or have UT screw him over, Guerrero wins the title, and you have a fucking ready-made feud when Batista comes back in February/March for WM22, since odds are Orton's deal with UT will be done by WM22. But really, you almost have to put the belt on Eddie. How are you going to put the World Champion in a Handicap Buried Alive match and have him job to UT?
  19. Smackdown is being taped tomorrow (Sunday) night. They're doing a Super Show.
  20. It's even more evident watching SuperBrawl 1998 where he beats Scott Hall for the U.S. Title and then watching Piper now. Piper was fucking ripped just 7 years ago.
  21. From PWInsider.com Captain Charisma fans, fear not. William Jay Reso (formerly Christian in WWE) also trademarked the name "Captain Charisma" on 11/2 for future use in his post-WWE endeavors. As noted earlier on PWInsider.com, Reso also trademarked his original independent name "Christian Cage" as well for future usage. Both terms were copyrighted for, "Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services in the nature of a wrestling club; Entertainment services namely live, televised and movie appearances by a professional entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestler" as well as trademarks purchased in regard to action figures, clothing, toys, games, multimedia, and additional items that may be licensed in the future using Reso's likeness.
  22. From WWE.Com World Heavyweight Champion Batista injured his back at the SmackDown television taping Tuesday night in Indianapolis. Earlier today, Batista traveled to Birmingham, Ala., to be seen by Dr. James Andrews. While meeting with Dr. Andrews, The Animal was informed that he had a decision to make concerning the treatment of the injury. He could either rehab his back, or opt for surgery. If he decides to go with the surgery, Batista could be out of action for as much as three months. Batista plans on making his decision by the weekend.
  23. That wouldn't be very smart. Meltz said TNA already has an offer prepared for Benoit in case he does not re-sign, and they are offering a lot more than WWE is. Also remember, it's a lot more money for a lesser schedule.
  24. Jay Reso used the name Christian Cage on independents before joining the World Wrestling Federation in 1998, where his name was shortened to just Christian.
