  1. Okay, Mike Knox should never speak again.
  2. To be fair, with technology the way it is, it would probably be a hell of a lot easier to do that today as opposed to the mid-80s.
  3. Can anyone vouch for the quality of the HD remastered Rumbles? I might throw down the $3 for 1992 if it is any good.
  4. Christ. I was even reading it from the Wikipedia page and still bungled it. Thanks.
  5. It was even more awesome when Savage ran into the ring and hugged them after they won. Only for them to lose the belts back a week later.
  6. 7. The shows are: -- 1988 -- 1989 -- 1990 -- 1992 -- 1993 -- 1994 -- 1996 -- 1997 -- 2000 -- 2008 On Cox, the shows are $2.99 a piece.
  8. Victoria is fucking near 40 and has been working on a partially torn ACL for 7 years. Is she insane?
  9. The fans were in to Sable because every week, she somehow ended up with barely covered tits and a g-string. Even Sunny, in all her drug-hazed glory, never ended up like that regularly. Sable had no wrestling ability or talking ability. She was literally just tits and ass.
  10. Okay, now we should REALLY change that subtitle.
  11. Low-Ki debuted at FCW tonight with the name "Kawal".
  12. I don't like WWE 24/7 being its own forum now. I liked it better as a sub-forum. I hate having to back out of the WWE forum to go into the 24/7 forum now.
  13. I thought Bob was just playing off Warrior's comment about Heenan. Oh well.
  14. Holy shit. Oops.
  15. I hated the Rumble qualifying matches because they often a) included house show matches where one guy won by winning a match where they'd never announce who lost on TV, but the guy who lost eventually got in by winning a match on TV (ex: Chris Jericho defeating Muhammad Hassan to qualify for 2005, yet Hassan eventually won a match on TV to qualify while never being outed as the guy Jericho beat). or b) It was painfully obvious who was going to win (ex: Umaga vs. Duggan).
  16. Anyone have a clue why they edited the No Chance In Hell music out of the intro?
  17. I had never seen this match until today. What spot did Michaels hurt his back on? when he dropped the elbow into the casket? I was working from home so was half distracted but I thought he got posted or something on to it , which is what kept him out for years. When he gets backdropped over the top rope and his ass lands on the casket. It compressed a ton of shit in his back. HBK said it was weird because it didn't affect him at all when it happened. He said he felt fine during the match and for the rest of the night, but couldn't move when he woke up the next day.
  18. We might need to remove Circuit City from the thread subtitle. Not many of those exist anymore.
  19. Haha, oh the woes of Test. He was indeed supposed to be the last-minute replacement for Austin at the Survivor Series and win the title. Too bad he broke his nose in that match with HHH he had the night of his wedding. Then he tried to come back too soon and broke his nose again in his first match back. Horrible luck. Although I guess getting to fuck Stacy Keibler and Kelly Kelly is a good redemption.
  20. When did Harley Race stop managing Vader? I don't seem to remember him being around for the Hogan feud but definitely remember him still there when Vader was the U.S. Champion in early 1995. While we're at it, WWE's website said WCW commissioner Nick Bockwinkle stripped Vader of the U.S. Title in April 1995 for "bad behavior". What exactly did he do? That sounds around the time he was feuding with Hogan.
  21. FUCK. I forgot all about the TNA PPV.
  22. Paul Heyman believes that's where a lot of the bitterness for ECW from TNN came from. They spent $3 million promoting Roller Jam and nothing to promote ECW, yet ECW was doing 3x the rating of that show and none of the people who watched ECW wanted to watch Roller Jam. It became clear soon that TNN had no vision of ECW being anything beyond a lead-in for Roller Jam.
  23. Taz and The Dudleys leaving to the WWF when the show got started really, really hurt. Raven, The Sandman, and Mikey Whipwreck coming back was a nice bonus, but Taz and The Dudleys were the faces of the promotion for the last two years and all over the Heavyweight Title and Tag Titles, respectively. It was a huge blow. For the record, I do remember seeing one ECW on TNN ad that wasn't on during the show. I saw it during a late-night re-run of South Park on Comedy Central. And does anyone else still have nightmares about Kevin Nash having Monster Truck Madness when ECW on TNN is mentioned?
  24. I think the possibility of Sting having a run in WWE is open again now that they're trying to be family-friendly again. Even though they're way past their prime, I'd dig a Sting vs. Undertaker match.
  25. Damn, you are right. I forgot how massively over as a face Owen Hart was at this time. Of course, this meant Russo had to immediately turn him heel again and stick him in the Nation of Domination. Since everyone knew Austin was getting the title at WM14, I always thought they should have had Shawn vs. Owen for the title with Owen getting the title victory and HBK winning it back at No Way Out. They could have even played the Austin angle in the HBK/Owen rematch, mentioning Owen's recent history with Austin (yeah, it would have reminded people that Owen was a dick heel, but remember, Vince said shades of gray).
