Indy wrestlers need to tone it down a notch
Rendclaw replied to theintensifier's topic in General Wrestling
Come on now folks, you all know as well as I do that a lot of Japanese wrestlers (with some of the higher-ups in NOAH) work tremendously stiff. And there are several Amercian ones that do the same. Getting mad at Mori for working stiff is like getting mad at the next human being you see for breathing. That's how they do it. And yes, Danielson has been known to work stiff for years. His matches with Low-Ki back in ROH's early days are a gold standard for stiffness in American pro wrestling. That all being said, there is a trend going on of "go stiff or go home" in wrestling, with the excpetion of the E, of course. I am agreement that wrestlers should protect themselves in the ring at all times, from chops to the chest to strikes to (and especially) chair shots and floor bumps. But I think it was Jingus who made the point of professional wrestling just breaking down the body to where injuries can and will just happen. It is a work for sure, but its still high physical stress, stress that the human body was not built to withstand. -
I've been playing D&D and its various incarnations since I was 11 years old. That being said, I have only been a well-adjusted adult since I turned 28 or so. There is nothing at all wrong with it, as long as you don't take it too seriously. Its fun, its a night hanging out with your friends, its a game that promotes tactical thinking and teamwork. I think a lot of people don't want to play it because of the negative stigma that has been attached to such a game.

I would love to see a Cloak and Dagger movie. The problem is that only comic fans would go to see it, because the interracial connotations would scare or piss of a lot of people. That trailer was perfect. They don;t need to do any more than that and give away the movie. Just based off of that trailer I can see at least one or two sequels, since Iron Man had a ton of enemies (and good ones too). I wonder if the relationship between Stark and Rhodes is going to be explored?

This thread is exactly why I don;t date anyone under 25 at the youngest. I haven't laughed so hard in some time. And I needed it.

As was said before, a lot of the things going on with the E have been a long time coming. I don;t blame Booker for leaving, no matter what the circumstances. His talent had been wasted for years, and I am glad that he is set financially. They had the golden fucking opportunity to go in a different direction and give him a title run, and they balked at the last minute. Booker did everything that was asked of him in the ring and out of it, and now in their own panicked and pathetic attempt to "normalize" things, they hang a loyal soldier out to dry? The company made millions off of these wrestlers and basically forced them to take steroids and make most of them cartoonish in their physical appearance in order of keeping "their spot" on the roster and in the booking, and now watching them backpedal in a vain attempt to avoid the federal government (some of whom have had a hardon for Vince since he skated on the steroid charges the first time) is going to be the most entertainment I have had involving the WWE in years.

You want to talk about a bad match that exposes the business? Hercules Hernandez vs. Billy Jack Haynes, Wrestlemania III. It was a bad match to begin with but after Hercules hits Billy Jack with the chain, the camera cuts to Billy Jack gigging and throwing out the razor blade.

I haven;t had that good of a laugh since the Shockmaster. Frying pans???? BWAAHAHAHAHA!!

By the way, why did Dan Patrick leave? I could never find out the reasons behind his departure.... its a shame because I liked listening to him and Olbermann. Keith was the only one who could keep him in check.

Hard rock, metal. I'm honestly scared to go into the music folder as I don't have the greatest taste in music. "Unity" is not a word describing the TSM Metal community, so you wouldn't have to worry about being ganged on there Unless he's a Manowar closet case like you. Manowar is funny. Nuff said.

It was the lead singer from Maroon 5. And I hate it when women "starfish" it. Name me one guy who does. And ungainly noises or not, I would still fuck Serena Williams in every hole until she begged for mercy.

I don;t know who it was, but apparently Howard Stern interviewed someone who claimed to have fucked Sharapova, and he said that she just laid there like a corpse. Not Hot.

And the question is, now that his family has been taken care of, will it free him up to be a better player, or will he decline like a lot of players do when they get the fat contract?

All I know is that unless Michigan runs the table, people are going to be in the streets of A2 looking to put Carr's head on a pike. Nuff said.

MMA Comments that Don't Warrant a Thread
Rendclaw replied to RavishingRickRudo's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
My question is whether or not Dana, wanting the MMA version of Rocky IV (along with everyone else in the US), is going to cave in or not. If he does, that might mean a hell of a nightmare for the UFC if Fedor's people cut themselves in the way they want to. Its the penultimate showdown right now, but I personally hope Dana doesn't knuckle under and tells Fedor and his people to go to hell if they are not willing to reach a compromise. -
Absolutely. Their subs rival any major chain's. A-fucking-men. One of the things I miss about Florida. Their Boar'd Head subs fucking DESTROYED Subway. But seeing as I worked for them on and off for like five years, I can't say Publix is a good store, especially having an uncaring shithead for a manager. I had a 1986 Mets Starter jacket stolen because there weren't any lockers I could put it in, and the asshole tried to make it out like it was MY fault. I do the majority of my shopping at Meijer, and do the balance at Sam's. Kroger is good but their sales are way too inconsistent.

Eating at Applebees for the first time in four years.
Rendclaw replied to Giuseppe Zangara's topic in Food Folder
I ate at Applebee's once, and I am never going back. I ordered steak tips and my ex ordered something else, some chicken dish, and they fucked up both orders. My steak tips were still fucking mooing, they were so rare, and after complaining to the manager they sort of fixed our food. By that time I made the decision. Chili's has hardly ever let me down, and neither has Bennigan's. One plate of fajitas from Chili's or a full rack of ribs from Bennigan's, and get away from me or you might lose several fingers from the ensuing carnage. -
You weren't the only one.

God, I love Golden Corral. When I lived in Orlando, there was one up ther street from me, and my ex and I would go at least twice a week. The nearest one to me now is 30 mins away, and now that I work nights there is no point in even thinking about it. Their rotisserie chicken and roast beef was killer. Get that, a couple of veggies, a good salad to start with and some fruit for dessert, and life was good when you walked out of that place. As trendy as it is, bd's Mongolian BBQ is good... though I wouldn;t exactly call it a buffet... China Jade in Orlando was the fucking BOMB. Full buffet PLUS Mongolian BBQ. I stuffed myself fucking stupid at that place on many an occasion.

This is there attempt at hitting on them. ::laughs:: You are absolutely right about that. This is the internet version of pulling a girl's hair in third grade.

1987 for sure. WarGames was such an innovative match for its time, and had ten of the best wrestlers in the world in the match. Well, nine and Lex Luger. You can say what you want about Dusty and his physique, but he was a damn good wrestler.

You simply cannot let Randy in close, or he is going to peck you to death with short punches, elbows and knees. Once he got that takedown and Gonzaga's nose exploded, it was all but over. He tried to keep Randy at bay in the beginning of Round 3, but by that time he had no real force and power behind his punches. It was obvious that he was trying to go for the home run by throwing a high kick, but it was way too late. As much as I get sick of Rogan verbally fellating guys, he was absolutely right in that Randy's Greco-Roman/Dirty Boxing style was perfect for the octagon. Your only real chance is to do what Chuck did back when he knocked Randy out, and that is to keep the distance and punish Randy for trying to close in. Also, be patient: Gonzaga was trying to go for a little too much too soon, and Randy's defense allowed him to shrug off most of Gonzaga's offense and get inside. All that being said, what Randy's doing is just amazing.

Even for a gimmick thread, this is pretty fucking pathetic. You dorks should be happy that a girl will post here, no matter what her looks rate to you or not. Then again better this than all of them secretly hitting on her, I guess.

Move over Ninja Warrior, the King is back
Rendclaw replied to Darthtiki's topic in Television & Film
That is fucking crazy. That Cliffhanger is almost physically impossible. Props to Nagano for calling it himself. Man has integrity. -
That's a shame, but there were going to be some hard decisions about who to keep and who to cut. Oh well..
