Ah, today's youth... DH isn't bad as far as posters go, though aside from the Video Games folder I hardly ever see him anywhere else since going into the WWE and TNA folders was doing bad things for my blood pressure... mole could have made a worse choice. Like me, for example. I have to admit, when I am not feeling good about things going on in my life I read a few threads in here and I almost collapse with laughter.

I don't think its going to happen, but I would rather see the Jazz-Pistons in the finals. The Jazz have been killing the Pistons for pretty much the last two seasons, and I think a little payback is in order. San Antonio in my view doesn;t deserve to go any further than they have gone, but their experience will win the day, I think. This might be Sloan's last run and only if the Jazz get better in the off-season. And as far as the LeBrons go, there is nothing they have done in the playoffs that make me think that they are going to give a motivated and interested Pistons team any sort of challenge. They destroyed a battered and depleted Wizards team and took out a horribly inconsistent Nets team and took part in one of the most unwatchable games in any sport while doing it?? Please. Weems getting his ass kicked was as it should have been, even though Herb should have stopped it sooner because Weems was not doing anything for more than a minute while he was getting pummeled. And thank whatever gods out there that Marlon got annihilated as well. The "crazy" angle never works unless you do something to back up whatever fecal matter is pouring out of your mouth. Especially in MMA.

And thats why people around these parts ride them so much.... They put it in cruise control when the Bulls came out desperate in game 4, and even more so in game 5 when it was apparent that the Bulls were shooting the lights out. The problem with that is that it can give a team more confidence.

Horry should get one game for sure. There are ways to foul someone without going hockey on him. They were going to lose that game, and Horry did something stupid. Do not get me wrong. I like the Spurs and what they have accomplished, but this "physical" play is bullshit. I see what they are trying to do, which is to get into the Suns' heads and make them play in a way that the Spurs can defend better. Aside from Ginobili and Parjker, no one has much hope of keeping the Suns from running them out of the gym. But just because I understand it does not mean I approve of it. This speak to some desperation on the Spurs part to resort to the actions of Bowen and Horry in order the get the Suns "off their game". As much as I like the Suprs and their past accomplishments, I hope it blows up in their faces.

I just hope the DTE crew gets the place cleaned up for the Rush concert to occur two days later. After my experience at Ozzfest 2005 (more like snoozefest 2005), I'm not doing that again ever. Gigantour, maybe.

That's what I thought. They seem like they are still two players away from making a real real real serious run. An inside defender/scorer and a good perimeter defender/scorer. They aren;t going to get an inside presence as long as Ben Wallace has that contract. Hinrich could be that perimeter scorer and defender, he just needs a couple more seasons experience. I love how people are pissing on the Detroit fans for booing Ben Wallace. I understand that a lot better than when they were booing Darko in the Orlando series. I'll break it down like this: 1. Ben Wallace was the face of the franchise, on the cover of magazines, video games and in commercials in Detroit. He was pretty much stood for what Detroit is all about: hard work and toughness. All that goes out the window when you leave the team and especially in the way that he did. 2. The writing was on the wall when he refused to go back in during that Orlando game. It doesn't matter if you think the coach is wrong in his play selection or you disagree about the way he is using you in a game. Its a pussy move and one you will have a lot of trouble living down. Ask Scottie Pippen about that. He did not give Flip Saunders any respect, but then again he had to know what Flip was about, who is much more of an offensive-minded coach. Ben Wallace is challenged offensively, and always has been dating back to his days in Washington and Orlando. He either refused or had a mental block when it came to developing his offensive game, so something had to give when it came time for him to re-sign. But... 3. He made a cash grab, which I don't blame him for. Any one of us would do the exact same thing, but sports fans are rather myopic that way. But the problem is.... 4. He went to Chicago, which is Detroit's arch-fucking-nemesis. Its not as bad as say, New York and Boston, or even New York and Los Angeles, but its pretty bad. Chicago is a great town. Detroit, not so much. You have the Pistons/Bulls rivalry. the Red Wings/Blackhawks rivalry (though not so much over the years), Tigers/White Sox, and Lions/Bears (though again, not quite so much nowadays). Chicago as a city is what Detroit wants to be, but cannot be right now until they get their heads out of their asses politically. You have all of that simmering underneath the surface, and then one of if not the most beloved player in Detroit next to Steve Yzerman bolt to the enemy? And you have sports writers and the like coming down ont he Detroit fans for booing him? Ben Wallace is getting what he deserves right now. And after his performance in games 1 and 2, I am convinced he is stealing money from Chicago.

I am shocked at how badly the Pistons are making the Bulls look. But then again this is like how they would handle the Bulls in 2004-2005. Force them to take bad shots and make young players mistakes. I have said it before and I will say it again. The Bulls need seasoning in order to make serious noise in the Central and the East. The players are too young to go further than the 2nd round. They overacheived by sweeping the Heat, which were ripe for the picking anyway.

I would think that it would be more of a balance between ability, desire and personality. Be able to fight, show the desire to get that contract, and do and say enough to stand out. Using that example, Corey is probably the most balanced. And I say that knowing that he's way the fuck out there. I agree with you, starvenger. Nate Diaz might be a good fighter, but the personality he portrays makes me want to cave in his skull with a bat. Then again with Weems on Team Pulver, who knows? That statement Gabe made was hilarious to me. Of course everyone knew you there for face time, and you had NO intention of fighting anyone at any time, the least of which Corey Hill, who might have fucked you up and made you look weak. Why else, when you KNOW what you have to do to stay in condition and be ready for a fight, would you be consistently 20 lbs or more over fighting weight? Not making weight wasn't the main reason Dana was pissed, he was more pissed because he knows he and his brand got used. That in retrospect was why the show was edited to make him look like the biggest bitch on two feet. "put me back in... put me back in".... for fuck's sakes if BJ told me to get up and go back in, I would have fucking crawled back in.. is it me or have the last two episodes been more of a waste of time than anything else? Not to even mention its showing how weak BJ's team is. They had better win at the least one out of the two fights next week, if not both.

That was the most bullshit I have seen in this show.. it was patently obvious that he was mugging for airtime from the moment that he was dissing Emerson all the time for no good reason. I would have loved to have a rank amateur like Corey (who has ten times the heart Gabe ever could) just utterly destroy him. But he pussied out, everyone on the show knows he pussied out and he got what was coming to him. I don;t blame Dana at all for being pissed off and cursing every other word. You can bet someone involved in the fighter selection process got fired for that, unless of course it was all kayfabed. Gabe basically used all of them, and his MMA career is in the bottom of the septic tank, and it couldn;t happen to a nicer guy. Take nut on your face for the rest of your pathetic life, Gabriel.

In the space of four or five sentences, Jens completely pwned Gabe. Gabe crying should get him into some good acting jobs. Like in gay porn. Fucking pussy. Two fights next week? I'm down. And Emerson was the best fighter out of Team Penn that lost, so it makes sense, whether or not Dana likes him.

Joe/Morishima was a pretty good match. Sloppy in some areas, but very entertaining. Now I am getting a hankering to make a Morishima CAW....

God only knows that people up here were panicking that the Pistons were going to drop Game 3 because of past history. Fat fucking chance of that, and thats a good thing. Now its time to choke the Magic out and rest up.
