Tito vs. Rampage first, then against Chuck for the title. I don't think that Chuck is going to lose to Tito. He's got a lotta mo'. -

Who is the highest paid in UFC? Is it Liddell or was it Hughes? The only way to even have a chance at Mirko is if they did pull out all the stops, and then some.... And they want Sylvia to lose the belt? Not surprising to me either, but that leaking out is not a good thing for UFC if they are trying (and very hard, mind) to create and maintain an air of legitimacy. I don't think it at all effects the legitimacy of the UFC, they're a business and for a business to run successfully you need to know what your strengths and weaknesses are. Tim Sylvia as your HW champion is not a strength. You're using the phrase "air of legitimacy" as if they aren't. Rumors coming out that they want their heavyweight champion to lose does not look good. It smacks of mob figures paying fighters off to take dives. As much as Bert Sugar and Jim Lampley and their ilk still try to hold up boxing as the sport of kings (and maybe it once was, about 30 years ago) and shit all over MMA, the people have spoken in that MMA is well on its way to supplanting boxing in popularity. Things like the higher-ups wanting their champion to lose should not come out, no matter what his popularity is or isn't. as much as people hate Sylvia, someone has to beat him straight up to effect change. Its enough of an uphill climb withough the shadow of that looming over UFC. And they still fighting for respect, as they as still on the fringe, no matter what the PPV buyrates may suggest. They've come a long way, but the still have a ways to go, and things like this can only hurt them. -
That's been the case since what, 1994?

AD&D Slayer....I got such a jones for this game I went on EBay and bought a 3DO to play it since none of the emulators work.

Admit it, Cartman. You and your ilk were much easier to deal with before 2004. The Pats winning I can handle, but once the Sox got theirs, y'all have turned into what you hate the most. And I love every second of it.

I want to punch James Blunt right in the fucking face

Its shit that the corps try to pass off for music like this that makes me glad I got an 60GB mp3 player for christmas last year. And even happier that I got it back from the factory on Friday after sending it off for repair. And happier still that I am stuck in the 80s from a musical standpoint. -

razazteca with the Spurs slappiness. Anyone who defends Bruce Bowen to that degree has to be licking his nuts big time. And I *like* the Spurs. Not as much as the Pistons or the Magic, but a solid #4 behind the Suns.

For some reason, I just cannot see Cro Cop in UFC. Its almost as if my mind refuses to process the possibility of it. -
About 11 months to go before I actually consider buying a PS3...

Examples of Milking a Franchise After It's Lifespan Ended

How do you move on from the face of the franchise, Leena? Tell me that. It is the same with Sega when they were more solvent. -

ooo, someone just got called out. -
When I was getting my hair cut yesterday, they were talking about that... I said that Minnesota would have to lose at least three players in order to even come close to affording AI. Between his and KG's salaries, it would all but cripple the franchise.

Aside from the "alledged" Japanese bias towards their homegrown fighters, Pride was a good promotion. In a way its going to be sad to see them fold up, because anything that advances MMA is good in my book. UFC can either be the biggest and the best for a long time to come or it can be the WWE, depending on what Dana White does. It has amazing potential, and its going to be a downright tragedy it that potential is not maximized. I may be a relative minor when it comes to MMA knowledge, but I know what I like. Both promotions have their strengths and weaknesses. -

Somthing tells me you didn't watch that fight. Yeah I did. Everything that Mirko tried, Fedor had an answer for. It got to the point that it looked to me like Mirko was second guessing himself and Fedor won the match handily. -
No, considering everything that the Magic have been through with Grant Hill, I doubt that he in any way could be trade bait, and I doubt any other team would take him. Grant is prolly going to retire within the next two or three years in a Magic uni.
-
The Magic lose to the Pistons in one hell of a game. Basically the Pistons played like a veteran team down the stretch, and the Magic showed their youth... its been awhile since I have seen an NBA game and enjoyed it so much. And yes, I say that after that 313 point, double-overtime defensive masterpiece. [/sarcasm] My god, those gold and black unis are FUGLY, and Gilbert Arenas is a weird, weird dude.
-
I would at least see the game before I bitchslap it verbally, Andrew.

I have to admit that I would love to see AI go to Chicago for the train-wreck factor... you think there are conflicts between Skiles and Wallace? Baby, you ain't seen nothin' yet if that takes place.
-
I remember that, I think. Wasn't that the one where you had Hogan, Savage, Orndoff and someone else, and you had to pick from a list of moves and if you were successful, you got to see like a two or three frame showing of that move? If so, then ugh..... funny thing is that I still have it for my C64... now if I could get a working 64 to play some of those old games.

As nasty as Mirko's kicks are, Fedor still made him his personal bitch. -
I remember that game, and it was ridiculous. Francis should be doing And1, since it seems that its the only place where his game would fit in. Thing is that he is getting paid an obscene amount of money to play in the league, though I don't undertand why. Its just silly to do something like that during an NBA game. I know they reasons why they try it but hell, if the refs call it, who the hell cares>

Not much of a rumor as there were lawsuits being bandied about back in the day, so Capcom changed the names around to avoid that whole mess. God I remember I played SF1 maybe six times before I just walked away from it in disgust. Thank the gods that the gameplay was much improved in SF2, and especially in SF2CE. I remember becoming such a Sagat mark, especially after I mastered the Tiger Uppercut. I just might get Capcom Classics 2 today, just for the hell of it.
