    Goldberg

I loved Goldberg. To me, he was a breath of fresh air in a world of generic big men all doing the same moves (except the Giant before his knees went bad. Remember his squashes of Chris Benoit and Ric Flair?), and his intensity was off the charts. Both of these things got him over in a hurry, and by the time Nash ended his streak, the streak itself had outlived its usefulness anyway.

    Nintendo Power Play Saturdays

Leena, Hot Shots is tough enough. Its not your fault none of the kids know how to play a golf game. Kick their snot-nosed asses and walk away with the prize and worry no more next time.

    Matches that ended abrubtly

And Snuka-Muraco was more of a fluke finish, in that Muraco ended up falling out of the cage door. I remember marking out like crazy when Snuka hit the Superfly Splash off the top of the cage, something that had never been seen before. That was 83 if I remember right, and that feud was red-hot.

    NOAH 9/9/06 results

That was a good match, though I think I liked Marufuji better when he was Bret Hart 2.0

    Casino Royale trailer

This looks interesting. I might go and see it. And UYI, I agree. I hated Halle Berry as a Bond girl, but that might be because I;m sick of her, period.

    European PS3 Delay

I doubt theres going to be demand for it like the 360 where people were paying $1000 for the 360. You'd think you might get close $1500+ for a PS3 but people aren't that stupid. Back when the PS2 came in what, 2001, there were people selling them in newspapers for $1500. The sad thing was that there were people rich and stupid enough to buy them, only to have them break down inside of a year.
  7. and there it will stay until they get out this rut. I am starting to get tired of the entire Eric Young angle now, because it hasn;t changed much. He won his match and isn;t going to get fired, why continue it?? And I agree about the Thumbtack match. For all of the hyping they have done about it over the last week, both wrestlers should have brought more than that. I am just hoping that adding the second hour will give matches more time, even though I am certain that we will see more boring promos. The Jarrett promo simply went too damn long, but as we all know, the man can do whatever the hell he wants, even though he was wandering into Vince territory with it. That being said it was still better than what is going on on Raw right now. I'm starting to get a little frustrated with what is going on right now. It seems like they're in a holding pattern until Bound for Glory, when they should be doing everything in their power to build every match to it. Never mind the upcoming PPV, not much is going to change. Jarrett is not going to lose to Sting, at least not cleanly. When the top heel is co-owner of the franchise, there is no way he is going to do what most of us think is the right thing. With the way I am feeling right now, I am not even sure that Joe is going to go over at BFG even though it is the right thing to do for the company. Very few of the young talent is being pushed in the right way in my opinion, and they are the ones who are supposed to carry the company into the future. But it just seems that they are going to settle for being second best, even though the E is ripe for the picking right now.

    Theatrical Movie Releases 2006

Tucker isn't even sure he wants to do the film. Add to that that its about three years too late, Rush Hour 2 came out in what, 2002? ::goes to IMDB:: 2001. Sheesh, you would think that it would have gotten made by 2004 at the latest.

    Star Trek: The Digital Generation

Okuda has always been fairly consistent when it comes to that stuff.... personally I say why the hell not, considering the shoestring budget Roddenberry had to deal with (even back in those days when a dollar was worth a lot more). That's the main reason why Klingons looked like black people rather than how they looked in the movies and later TV series. I saw the two-part Enterprise episode called "Into The Mirror, Darkly" and the job they did with the old USS Defiant was amazing. Give it a chance, I say. As was said before, this is true enhancement, not what George Lucas did with Episodes IV-VI.

    God Hand

rise to Honor is tough because of the movie action sequences... I got maybe halfway through it before I stopped... maybe I should get back into it... Half of those games aren't true beat-em-ups IMO. Champions of Norrath and Gauntlet DL are RPGs with a beat-em-up element.

How reliable is Amazon for ordering and shipping?

I have been using Amazon for at least 6 or 7 years and I have never had a problem. Their return policies are good too.

Brock Lesnar taps to Matt Hughes...

That conjured up some very VERY bad mental images.... thanks a whole lot, Curry. The question is whether or not Brock can learn fast enough. Hughes submitting him is just so swank, its unbelievable even though its to be expected. Logically, Brock should study under them for one year before going in the ring for real. But this whole idea has little to do with logic.

Anyone got too many video game systems?

Lets see, I have a PS1, PS2, Gamecube, X-Box, and a 3DO. I had a hankering to play AD&D Slayer so I went to Ebay and went nuts. The funny part is that I got the 3DO for like $40, and the game for 5 from someone who was selling off his games on a website when it was going for almost $50 on Ebay. I won that little battle. I'm still pissed at an ex-roommate for stealing my Genesis and my games back in 2000. I had a copy of Live 96 that had up to date rosters, even though it took me HOURS to get the right stats for someone like Kobe.

Fucking TAC-Scan is on it as an unlockable! I was so addicted to that game in the arcades. I want this one yesterday. That is an awesome lineup.

PS3 .VS. Wii .VS. Xbox 360?

If you're that squirrelly about the price, get a 2nd job for a month or two. There is nothing coming out for the PS3 that really grabs my interest at all. The Wii is getting massive overhype, which is good for Nintendo, since it will sell a lot of systems... I have interest, but only because I want all of the old games. Games that truly were good, excellent, or great. The way I see it, its about the sizzle and not the steak nowadays. Style, not substance. It might be just me getting older, but without good games with good gameplay and not just about the bells and whistles, this generation of games might just crash, just like in 1984. Instead of simply making a next generation of games, Sony is trying to price the average gamer right out of contention by bundling a new and unproven technology in with a gaming system that would sell just by itself. As much as I like Sony products (shit, I have a stereo system, bought two PS1s, three PS2s and am typing this post on a Sony brand laptop), I am old enough to remember the Betamax. Nuff Said.

What is the best wrestling style?

I loved Taz's style. Good technician and could brawl, and just awesome with his submissions. Not to mention he wasn't bad on the mic.

    Gaming Memories

Baseball Stars was the shit. But my memories.... When I was 6 years old and living in the hood, going to this little pinball place and hanging out with the owner and his son... playing when I could, bumming quarters when I couldn't.... another store had that Atari Baseball, Night Driver (the sit-down version), and a baseball pinball game.... Discovering the mall when I was 7, I think... pinball machines, video games.... spending my 5 dollars... 4.25 went to games, .70 to bus fare to and from the mall.... spending the majority of my time there.... When Bridgeport had full-fledged arcades... Spanky's and Wizard's... fucking dozens of machines.... my allowance and Christmas money going right into those machines..... One of my biggest memories is the day I almost beat Karate Champ in 85. All of the kids that hung out at this bowling alley gathered around the machine and were cheering for me... but I freaked out and got beat... and I never got close to that fight again, even in emulation. When my mother bought me a black and white TV and an Atari 2600 back in 1979... I had so much fun with that, especially with my stepfather's son playing cutthroat Space Invaders... my brother and I beating the hell out of each other on Mattel Baseball, which beat the fuck out of Atari Realsports.... Getting a Commodore 64 in 1987 and driving my mother crazy using the modem all the time... going over friend's houses and copying games and having massive gaming tournaments... Getting a job at a Nintendo store in 1991, just when the SNES broke out, and beating the shit out of my co-workers at Super Tennis.. Living with a person who was more into video games than I ever was, and going to arcades and beating the crap out of each other and everyone else at various incarnations of Street Fighter.... Hell I could go on and on and on.... I just picked the ones that came to mind immediately...

TNA Comments which don't warrant a thread

I doubt it... I think that he might be there to keep Jarrett and Steiner occupied. If TNA blows this golden opprtunity to really be different and they don't pull the trigger on Joe and keep him as champ for at least a year or two, I think I am going to quit wrestling for good. I've had enough of the E and its constant horrible product, and a six sided ring isn't enough... we need a new champ and they have a golden opportunity with Joe. I was listening to BTR and it was said how every time to this date that TNA has an opportunity to set themselves apart and truly become an alternative to the WWE, they shy away from it, and I can;t help but agree. The actual reason why is almost irrelevant. If they want to be an alternative and compete, they need to do something to make it happen.
