    The Titillating World of Cosplay

I'll endure the bad ones in order to get to the good ones, like that first Cammy. Holy mother of God, she has the ass for that costume. And those elf girls... yeah, I would do all kinds of nasty things to both of them.

    2009 NBA Basketball Games

These things are why I stuck with 2k5, even though the rosters are dated... I tried playing live 2006 and I despised it.

Yeah, for chrissakes, its only fucking Babalu....

    Finish Him!

Only if it was done in a special way, Like say Foley's double arm DDT. A regular DDT is a transitional move, period. A normal DDT just doesn't have the oh, shit! factor anymore.
  5. If it is a stunt, this is the kind of thing that makes me want to go upside Dana's head with a Singapore cane ala the Sandman circa 1995. The fight is big enough already, there is no need for crap like this. The fighters themselves have been doing a good enough job in promoting it. There is no need in going TUF with a fight like this. Stand back, let the cameras roll, and portray both sides equally, for fucks sake... No wonder some people refer to Dana as Vince Jr. Its not necessary at all.

    Let's Talk About: Hair Metal

GNR was a straight up rock band. They weren't a hair band at all. Van Halen, the same. Whitesnake wasn't hair metal either, since they had been around since the 70s. The New York Dolls started that shit way back in the day, and Kiss took the crown for awhile, then Motley Crue, and it can be argued that Bon Jovi took hair metal to new heights and spawned bands like Cinderella, Poison, Warrant, Skid Row, Britny Fox, Kix, and the like. And yeah, I put Skid Row in there knowing that Slave to the Grind exists. If they had the balls to stand up to the record execs, they could have gotten more respect by putting that out first. But that was the formula back then. Get all the kids on board with the bubblegum shit, then try and garner respect from the fellas by putting out something harder. I never liked Warrant, but Jani Lane had a pretty cool rock bar in downtown Orlando in the middle 90s. I still laugh out loud to this day when I recall that it was being said that the Bulletboys were going to be the next Van Halen.

    UFC 92: The Ultimate 2008

Intrigued by Lesnar possibly committing homicide in the octagon? After seeing what Mir did to him, I am glad that Nogueira lost, I can only imagine the carnage Brock would have wrought with his hands to a slowed-down Nogueira. Mir is no slouch in the power department, but Brock is stronger by an order of magnitude. That is shocking as all hell, that 92 did better than 91... if so, this should be a lesson to the UFC about making TUF more about the fighters than the coaches... There was no overshadowing the fighters by a ridiculously hyped-up feud (Ortiz/Shamrock), just two men destined to fight after coaching. Mir's ego was getting a little out of control towards the end, but nothing over the top.... even though the fighters themselves were over the top with the pranks, and every season someone feels that they have to act like a fucking nutcase to get attention, even its "get the fuck off my TV" attention.

The OAO Strategy RPG Game Thread

I just wish I could get my saturn emulator working so I could play Shining Force III, I beat 1 (to the consternation of my then roommate because I beat it before she did... suck it up, buttercup), got through most of 2....

Psycho has the right of it. Joe Johnson, even though he has been willing to give up the rock this year, I still think he gets too selfish at times on the floor and that can hurt a team, especially a young and on the rise team like the Hawks.

    UFC 92: The Ultimate 2008

Dammit, I need to see this. I like Forrest a lot, but I've been behind Rashad for a little while now... certainly since he got jobbed in the Bisping fight, if not earlier. EDIT: Nevermind, I found it. Good first round. Both fighters got their offense in against the other, and Forrest has some pretty solid kicks. Rashad took all of that offense from Forrest and channeled Ali there for a second. Forrest is relying a little too much on the leg kicks, though I can't blame him after he wrecked Rampage's legs in the last fight. Great catch, takedown and hammerfists by Rashad. Good defense against at least two submission attempts, and then Rashad got his opening and pounded the hell out of Forrest. Well done. If Rashad defeats Rampage, especially in impressive fashion as he has been doing, the LH division is his to rule for some time.

Yeah I think that Ripper is going to have to take back a good portion of his Mike Woodson vitriol... They're a lot of fun to watch. I think that they are one veteran player trade away from taking the next step.

Problem with that is that you KNOW at some point McGrady or Yao is going to get hurt, and then it all goes poof for the Rockets. And even if they do stay healthy, the Jazz are going to bludgeon them like they always do.

    WWE Folder sucks dick

While I would never think less of you for having not seen it, you really owe it to yourself to sit down and watch it. Not only is it a great story, but there is a rediculous amount of nudity in it for a PG rated film. That was back in the day when you could see nudity and hear a lot of vulgarity too in a PG rated movie, before the MPAA got their nuts cut off. I can't remember the name of the movie, but the movie starred Barbara Carrera in her prime and she was naked in quite a lot of the scenes, including full frontal, and it was rated PG. Oh yeah, the name of the film was Embryo. Thank you again, IMdB.

    UFC 92: The Ultimate 2008

Chuck looked like he saw about $50,000 of money he bet on Forrest go flying right out the window. I seriously wish he would retire and be done with it. The funny part about his getting knocked out by Rashad was the utter shock and horror showed by by about 75% of the crowd that night. That was a rather sick knockout of Wanderlei. I have yet to see what happened to Forrest, though.
  19. Last week I had to be out in both snowstorms, doing my usual delivery route. Bad enough the week before I hit a patch of black ice and put a football sized dent in someone's front quarter panel.... the most annoying part about it is that at one warehouse I have to shovel a path to my truck just to load and unload stuff from it, and then when I get to the other one I have to dig a path for my truck to back up to the loading dock, and thrown down rock salt to make sure I don;t get stuck there. Fucking annoying, let me tell ya, but its a living. X: That video was both funny and horrifying at the same time. I shudder to think how much some of those people's insurance rates skyrocketed after that... there had to be ice underneath that snow, either that or that was a very steep hill. Or both.

    Majel Roddenberry dies

Its a shame that she had leukemia, that is one of the worst ways to go. In her own way she was almost as important as her husband who created the franchise, or the actors throughout all of the incarnations of the series. She was a good actress, and from most accounts, a very nice person. May she rest in peace.

UFN 16 - Fight for the Troops

I agree wholeheartedly with you guys. This has to go on record as the most disturbing UFC event I have ever seen. If there is some right-wing, bible-thumping, hand-of-God douchebag who makes it a personal crusade to get the UFC shut down, all he has to do is use this event as the money shot after softening people up with all of the brutal knockouts over the years... I liked Corey Hill too... how in the hell does something like that happen? I'm not trying to make light of it, but does the guy ingest *any* calcium at all??? Jesus fucking Christ, was that disturbing... I'm glad I didn;t DVR this for my girlfriend's sake. I know I am going to have nightmares tonight.... damn.

Food Network and food shows thread

I think we're remiss in not mentioning the all-mighty Ming Tsai. His show has to be the best on television, period. He gets his point across quickly, explains things in a clear manner, and every time I watch his show, I come away starving. Yeah I agree with the notion about how the ICs in both shows had a clear and distinct advantage. But at least with the Japanese version, it was a little less obvious. And hell, I think Flay gets challenged so much because I think the challengers believe they have a better chance of winning than going up against Batali, who is a fucking MACHINE. I think that that college cooking show is a take on what Molto Mario used to do... though it does need different people. I would be all right with Paula Deen if she slowed her "Belle of Southern Cooking" roll.

Food Network and food shows thread

I would be more down with Good Eats if they didn;t try so damned hard to make Alton funny. The information is top notch, even if I think he is a dork of the highest order. He is much more tolerable on Iron Chef America. Speaking of that, I watch ICA with Bobby Flay on the challenge for the same reason I will watch a poker tournament with Phil Hellmuth or Mike Matusow in it; to watch him get his ass kicked. Ever since they did that first Iron Chef special with Flay and he lost to Morimoto while acting like a total dick the entire time, and the subsequent sequel where he lost again IIRC, I will watch an episode to see him get waxed. Dacascos' overacting its straight up pathetic, and the show could come close to the original if they tried harder. Not as good or better, but close. The Wikipedia page says that Mario Batali has the best record of them all, going 19-4. I'm not surprised by that, as Mario can cook his ass off. Cat Cora with a very respectable 13-7, and Bobby Flay going 21-11-2. That's about right. I actually liked the How To Boil Water with Tyler Florence; he finally spelled out the secret to making awesome fried chicken. Ina Garten makes some great food, but I wouldn;t want to be in charge of cleanup. As I said here years ago, I have had the biggest crush on Nigella Lawson for the longest time. British, sensuous, and can cook like there's no tomorrow. Winner in my book.
