Another year and Christmas wasn't destroyed! Well, I guess us liberal commie atheist leftwing secular fascists will have to just try harder next year.

I wouldn't mind some shirtless pics of Argentina's president.

I agree that musically the song is terrible, but does world peace really have nothing to do with Christmas? And while we're on the subject, let's not forget about THIS crapfest.

Here's another awesome nuggest of double-digit IQ wisdom from Gov. Sarah Palin... http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?pri...es&id=29994 If she had it to do over, she would have just TALKED TO reporters, instead of being INTERVIEWED by them.

I finally got around to watching No End in Sight last night. First of all...Holy fucking shit, Rumsfeld was a retard. Second...it kind of changes some of my thinking on the war's initial winnability, and how massive failure wasn't inevitable. This was made before "The Surge" (of "is working, my friends" fame) and doesn't make Gates or Patraeus part of the narrative, but definitely leave the impression that the war might have worked had the DoD not been populated so heavily by idiots in March of 2003.

When is a press conference not a press conference? CNN might wanna rethink the whole twitter thing. Or expand on it for extra hillarity. Whatever.

The US Economy and Current Financial Crisis

What evidence is there that's actual cause and effect, and not post hoc reasoning? (Sure, I could read the article, I guess....) -
I think Bruiser has a legitimate point about the concentration of federal power right now, but I also think economics isn't instantaneous, and the bailout needs time to work.

The Obama Cabinet Nominees Secretary of State Hillary Clinton Secretary of Treasury Timothy Geithner Secretary of Defense Robert Gates Attorney General Eric Holder Secretary of the Interior Ken Salzar Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack Secretary of Commerce Bill Richardson Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis Secretary of Health and Human Services Tom Daschle Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Shaun Donovan Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood Secretary of Energy Steven Chu Secretary of Education Arne Duncan Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric Shinseki Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano I managed to predict 0% of those. Both of the nominated sitting U.S. Senators (both Democrats) come from states with Democratic governors, so the seats are safe for now. Combined with the Obama and Biden seats, 4 appointments will be necessary. 2 are members of the U.S. House (1 Democrat, 1 Republican). 2 are sitting state governors (both Democrats).
