Yeah...Marvel kind of dropped the ball by introducing a disco-themed charactered at a time when disco record were being publicly burned and baseball stadiums were hosting "Disco Demolition" nights. Still, while Dazzler is basically the Marvel trying to jump on a bandwagon after the wagon has come to a stop, Marrow is a far shittier character. Combine the "tough kid from the wrong side of the tracks" cliche with your usual Morlock angst, and you've stumbled upon the most annoying character to ever grace an X-Men roster. She was basically a proto-type for the also shitty X-23, and was universally hated by fans.

The Directors Cut DVD Discussion Thread
SuperJerk replied to Lil' Bitch's topic in Television & Film
I cannot emphasize enough how much better the director's cut of "Daredevil" was. -
Except it wasn't that bad, and the vast majority of the criticism I've heard (throughout the internet and especially on this thread) that was either that it didn't follow the comics or someone's favorite character wasn't used. Like I said, it might not have been the movie I would have made, but that doesn't make it bad.
-
I think someone posted a page of it earlier...

My verdict: This isn't the movie I would have made, but it wasn't bad. Sure, the X-Men movies don't follow the comics, but it does a better job than the Ultimate X-Men comic (you know...the Marvel comic book where almost everyone's a teenager except Wolverine, who tried to murder teenage Cyclops so he could sleep with underage Jean Grey, where Beast and Storm were dating, where Nightcrawler and Rogue were in Weapon X, and where Collosus is a homosexual). I'd like to see more X-Men movies. There's more than enough other X-Men characters to make up for no Scott or Jean. Storm, Wolverine, Nightcrawler, Collosus, Kitty Pryde, and Rogue were the bulk of the X-Men team during the 80s, after all.

Another reason the movie should've been made in black and white. -
WEEKS?

WHAT?!?!?!?!
-
Because it was never the actual explanation????

It'd have been funnier if: (1) it didn't go on so damn long (2) it wasn't basically just the same joke over and over (3) it hadn't already been argued over at length in another thread this past weekend.
-
I find this thread's title exceptionally misleading.

Thanks for the spoiler warning, buddy. -
That didn't stop X2 from outgrossing Batman Begins. Seriously. Just because you're a household name, doesn't mean people want to go see your movie. Did "From Justin to Kelly" teach us nothing?

Every time we have this discussion, Toyota always wins. They're just great cars, and you can get a new one for under $15,000.

So, I got an e-mail Friday that had some basic info about the summer practicum I have to for my Master's program in Special Education. I'm getting 6 hours of credit for this experience. The e-mail includes the following paragraph: So...5 1/2 hours a day. 5 days a week. For 8 weeks. Plus onsight hours to complete assignments. That's the equivalent of 12 credit hours during a normal semester? The hell? Here's the best part: 6 weeks of the practicum will be me teaching summer school at an urban alternative school. UMKC

So doing well enough to become one of the top 50 highest grossing movies of all time is a sign a movie doesn't have legs?

Bingo. AICN has a review of the Superman TAS home video movie. http://www.aintitcool.com/display.cgi?id=23450 Apparently it makes absolutely no reference to anything that's ever happened on Justice League. -
Someone quick...name all 12 of the active wrestlers left on Smackdown.

Okay...I'm intrigued with this whole Earth-1/Earth-2 idea now. Earth-1 would be everything the WWE, Earth-2 would be Attitude era WWF. Thus, the radical differences in gimmicks can be explained. Also, a third continuity can exist for pre-Attitude era (a parrallel universe where Vince was just an announcer), and then WCW and ECW would also be alternate universes. The Invasion would be the equivalent of Crisis on Infinite Earths, and the return of ECW would be like Infinite Crisis.

Oh my God, I bet that's the angle they run with. Paul Bearer has had the real Kane locked up again, and he just escaped! It makes an odd sort of sense. Why Kane was the "happy freak" character in fall 2002, why it took only one tombstone for Taker to beat him at WMXX, why he suddenly had the desire to have a family via Lita in 2004. I can see them using it as a ret con for the past 4 years of crap they've done to the character. Kane has more retcon than Superman's origins. So there's an Earth-1 Kane and an Earth-2 Kane? It all makes sense. Now all we need is for Owen Hart to come back from the dead via one of Kaneboy-Prime's punches, and we're all set.

Executive Assistant, McMahon said none of the candidates measured up to his standards for general manager. Too bad he was thinking of the 90s Bulls and Shelley Winters. Yes, the placement of the "Reply" but can be confusing.

BURN~! Or something.
