And yet we still question the idea of having these three as the Wrestlemania ME?
Sounds like the fans want to see this match to me.
stupidest thing Ive read today...
HBK wasnt scheduled to be involved...just shows up and mooches onto a HHH vs. Benoit contract segment. How does that show the audience is interested in HBK-Benoit-HHH? The crowd seemed to die just a bit as it dragged along, and ratings went down after the contract swerve.
You really need to give 'thought' a try there duder
If most fans were not interested, there's a strong chance they'd have changed the channel when HBK showed up, thus decreasing the numbers. Instead, they stayed tuned because they wanted to see how HBK would become involved. The ratings went down after the contract swerve becasue the show broke for commercial.
If you're trying to disprove my theory, perhaps YOU should more thought into it, "duder".
HBK was there for the last few minutes of a 15 minute segment. The ratings dont reflect by the minute or what happened exactly when HBK arrived. All this shows is that a HHH-Benoit contract signing which was heavilly promoted and no mention of HBK had ever been made prior drew a big rating.
HBK means nothing to the rating...this isnt really that hard...is it?
You're saying HBK had no impact on the ratings because no one knew HBK might get involved in the contract signing?
What about the two weeks of foreshadowing that suggested that HBK was getting involved in HBK/Benoit?
Are you going to completely dismiss that, too?
Your claim that HBK being there killed the crowd is not based on anything but your own faulty memories/imagination. HBK wasin the segment for over four minutes. The live crowd reacted loudly to HBK kicking Benoit, and the crowd was ON THEIR FEET for the entire time HBK was in the ring.
I'll repeat: THE LIVE CROWD WAS ON THEIR FEET THE ENTIRE TIME HBK WAS IN THE RING.
So, let's look at all the evidence so far:
-the segment drew the highest rating of the night (4.2).
-the segment had the live crowd on their feet, including the entire time HBK was in the ring.
-HBK was in the ring for 4 full minutes of a 15 minute segment.
-the crowd reacted loudly (they booed) when HBK kicked Benoit.
-the show had been foreshadowing HBK getting involved with Benoit and HHH for two weeks.
Do you still think my argument has no merit whatsoever?
