Question. What are somas? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I could be wrong but I think they're painkillers.

If Batista is injured and rehabbing it(instead of surgery), he really shouldn't be wrestling until the injury is healed and he shouldn't be the champ if he's not wrestling. Maybe they could do something like have it revealed that Batista was severely injured by all the attacks, but has been hiding it because he wants to continue wrestling, but Long doesn't want a top start getting hurt even worse. Then you could have that Palmer Cannon guy(since he is useless) say that the "network" doesn't want a champion who can't wrestle and has ordered to have Batista stripped to protect Long as a face instead of just having him strip Batista himself. Vacate the title and go from there or something. Then you could have Batista on-air without wrestling like attacking random people and having to be "escorted from the premises" since he'd be "angry" about the whole situation. Then whoever gets the title could feud with Batista when he's back and presumably Batista would put him over. I hate Randy Orton and I hope he never gets the belt again, as a sidenote. Kinda rushed these ideas out and I know WWF would allow Batista to continue working through his injury and I'm sure that's what will happen, so just all hypothetical obviously.

Stupidest/Worst/Most Offensive Smackdown (Special)
Foshi replied to Fuzzy Dunlop's topic in The WWE Folder
What about when Vince fired him in late 99? You know, the transition between dead man and biker. I think that could be considered a death angle. -
He was caught playing videogames backstage. Or something. Seriously, it was in the Torch a few weeks back that he had turned down a Dave Chappelle type gimmick, and people got pissed off. Personally I think he's worthless and no great loss, so, whatever <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How could someone in wrestling have a Dave Chappelle gimmick? How can anyone have a Dave Chappelle gimmick? Was he gonna ride around in an SUV with Bobby Lashley while he shot people and collected money from prostitutes?

I remember Virgil was one of the first action figures I ever bought. I always felt bad the way Ted DiBiase treated him. =(

I didn't think ONS was counting because even though WWF promoted it, it was technically an ECW PPV.

Wrestler of the Year Kurt Angle Match of the Year Angle and Michaels-WM21 Feud of the Year Batista and Triple H Best Brawler Batista Best High Flier Rey Mysterio Best Tag Team MNM/Mexicools...they really need to start this feud Most Underrated Tajiri...I'm a Tajiri mark and I feel like ever since he's come to WWF, his moveset has been so limited with a few exceptions and I could see why even a smark would question his ability if only knowing his work from 2001 on On a more visible level: Christian Most Overrated Orton and Cena Best Promos Chris Mast....couldn't do that with a straight face. I'd go with Eddie. No matter the topic, Eddie could always make me care. Best PPV Wrestlemania 21 Worst PPV Great American Bash

Me and my friend were discussing how frustrated we get when Angle can't manage to get the belt from Cena. It's like Angle really is the face and Cena is the heel no matter how they present it. I would quote someone who said something that made me think of this, but I don't feel like looking.

::topic brought up in creative meeting:: Triple H: Didn't we get rid of that thing in 2002?

She's grown up a lot since True Lies. And I think if you're gonna have a character change in Cena, he definitely would need to do something drastic like drop the title. Survivor Series is the perfect time in my opinion. Booking logic would dictate since Cena hasn't been able to go over Angle in a while, that he'll overcome the near impossible odds and retain the title and probably wind up losing the title to Edge or something(god, what a boring feud that would be). I think that's probably the plan they had all along, but sometimes you have to change things based on fan reactions. If Angle won on Sunday, I think there's no doubt he'd get at least a decent pop. This would be the perfect spot for Cena to turn heel or tweak his character or whatever. He can't beat Angle, then he loses again, and HIS fans cheer? Besides the fact that putting the title on Angle, to me, is a good idea 99.9% of the time.

Looks pretty cool. I really like Juvi/Kid Kash. Only thing is I think Vito and Nunzio haven't exactly been pushed as a legit team to challenge for the titles, so maybe swap them with someone from the elimination match, either LOD or the Mexicools.
-
I've heard this referenced before, but what is it?
-
See, this is a big problem I had with Cena. The fact that he was a jerk in a funny way was what got him over. When they turned him face based on his crowd reactions, he began to lose that dickish edge he had and, for me anyway, that which made me interested in him. He's a forced face. They did that with Rock too to an extent, but I think Rock is just more talented overall hence why I still enjoyed him.
-
I'd buy Rey as champ. It's really all in the booking and the guy's charisma. Michaels faced Diesel, Vader, and Sid during his title run and it seemed completely believable that he could beat them. Granted, Rey's even smaller than him, but I think the point is the same. There's nothing wrong with the face-in-peril as champ. That's what Michaels did with those guys. Bret did the same and had the out-of-nowhere wins against Yoko(avoiding the banzai) and Nash(the small package) and I think that element actually made the win that much more exciting. Rey has become very credible to me. When I saw him beat JBL a few weeks back, it didn't surprise me at all. In fact, I think I'd have a much harder time seeing Bradshaw beat Rey clean than vice versa. He's very over, has been pushed well(or at least presented well), and I think it'd be exciting and fresh to see him as champ and, though I do like him, I'm really no Rey mark.

Wasn't the "You'll be facing KANE" heyday just, like, a year ago? Somebody help me on this one. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, I'm thinking of my senior year which would've been 03-04. I think the height was early 2004 before WM20.
-
How so? Because she's 16? Isn't that enough reason for you? I mean, do you really think she's emotionally mature enough for that? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, we're just engaged right now, we're not getting married until she turns 18 when she finishes highschool. And yes, I do. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hey From Beyond the Grave...It's a different ballgame when you get married. I'm not but I watched my best friend go through Hell his first year of marriage because he got married too young. Believe me I'm turning 28 in January and looking back 10 years ago when I was 17-18 I realize I was a complete immature moron. You might do fine, but be warned your first year will probably be a mess because regardless of what you think you're not ready at that age. Has she ever lived on her own? That was one of the biggest problems in my friend's first year of marriage. His wife had never lived on her own away from her parents and she was completely lost without them. She was needy and immature. She freaked because it was all too much. They made it through and have a good marriage now, but it could have been a lot smoother if they had waited. I'm not trying to discourage you, but let your fiance move out on her own and get used to life away from her parents before you marry her. Unless she already lives away from them. Sorry we're getting off topic. Eugene should shave his head and grow a thick beard...it might change his look drastically...or he could wear a mask, but either way De-Tarding him ranks up there as one of the dumbest storylines ever and is insulting to people who are actually mentally handicapped. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I thought from the very beginning this was a dead end gimmick. It's like where can you go from here with Dinsmore? He's supposed to be retarded and anything you do to change that in his character would blatantly breaking kayfabe. I have a feeling, however, that they're just going to have some big gap in logic not unlike the fact that Kane was originally a mute and severely disfigured burn victim.

Before stunning him too. The thought of Hogan taking a stunner makes me die a little inside.

That's one long ass vacation. And people, please remember this bit of info in three months when everyone starts the yearly "Bret at WM" and "Bret in the HOF" rumours. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> When I read that, I assumed he would be staying with his wife's family or something, as opposed to just checking into the Holiday Inn. Isn't she from Italy?
-
It really wasn't that bad. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Exactly. If you want to talk about bad look at the Orton/Cena match. All the other matches on RAW and SD had clean finishes yet that was the only one that wasn't. I still don't get that. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think they were protecting Orton which I thought was silly on a tribute show. I know I'm not alone on this, but I really dislike Orton for reasons like this. They're trying so hard with him and I just really have never cared about him. He's never done anything himself to make me care about him. He is constantly being paired with other people in hopes that they'll get him over somehow. Just a rant.

Wow, the facing Kane stuff is really great. Me and my friends were big wrestling losers in high school(now we're big wrestling losers in college) and during the peak of "tonight you'll be facing Kane", we used to work it into normal conversations. It really was such a great gimmick for Kane: the Punisher. I think it should be revived.
-
This hit me so hard. The very first thing I'm told by my friend when I woke up. I can't and don't want to believe it. RIP Eddie

Aren't there supposed to be 5 guys for each of the survivor series teams? I only know HBK, Big Show, Kane, and Carlito. Am I missing someone?
-
I don't think I'd drop Raw for a Monday night TNA. But, I'd definitely flip back and forth. It'd be nice to have an alternative wrestling product when something on Raw that I didn't care to see came up, which sadly is pretty often these days.

You forget, this is the E, where your finisher is a slam of some sort, a neckbreaker, or a powerbomb. That's all they get. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Or a submission hold. Benoit, Masters, Angle...and yes, the Angle Slam has been moved down to a set up move. Then again, Eddie Guerrero has the Frog Splash...so he's not counted either. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ahh, yes the frog splash, that's at least 4 superstars' finishers now, right? Eddie, RVD, Val Venis, Viscera, anyone else? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Eddie and RVD have the Frog Splash Val and Vis just have regular splashes. THe difference is the arm pump ala a Frog. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ah, my bad. Anyway, my point is that no one has an inovative finisher anymore. There all just . . . modified neckbreakers <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Picturing Viscera doing a frog splash just made my week.
