It's a 37". I would have preferred a larger one, but we couldn't fit any larger ones into our entertainment unit, and it would have been too much of a hassle to get rid of the entertainment unit. We're with Bell, but we subscribe to the VDSL service (through the phone line) since we live in a condo apartment and can't get regular ExpressVu. It doesn't have HD capability. It's being replaced by IPTV, but that's not expected to be rolled out until probably 2008, by which time we'll be long gone to Rogers.

I finally picked up the complete series of The Office (BBC version) for $40, the Beverly Hills Cop series for $25, and a $50 Phillips DVD player. I struck out trying to find a smaller LCD TV for the den, though. No big names, and I refuse to put money down on the second- and third-tier brands. And it was absolute mayhem. Some bitch stole my parking space that I'd been trying to find for fifteen minutes. I had a brief thought of just parking in front of her car and going into the mall. Oh, and the Aquos came this morning. Man, does it ever look nice. It'll look even nicer when we switch to cable in a couple of months so we can get all the HD channels.

Yeah, he's nearly 70, so he'd be worth no more than 40 points as a Best Bet, and probably only 20 since he's such a popular choice. I hadn't thought of disallowing anyone on death row when I first posted, so he can stand.

You can pick someone else. I adjusted the rules.

Wade had an absolute beast of a game. 40-11-4-4-4.
-
Randy Johnson returning to Arizona? Possibly: http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2708203
-
I think he was usually announced as being around 270-275. Down about 30 pounds from his peak (he was always announced as 303 during his big WWF run).
-
Awesome. So, if I win and alfdogg and Smues both lose next week, I can still claim my fourth straight division title.

TVs are starting to come way down. It's gotten to the point where I can realistically think of putting a good 26" LCD in my computer room for way under a grand. I finally managed to get the Aquos an hour and a half after the sale was supposed to start. I checked Best Buy's site after I completed the order, and it was still down.

You might want to wait until next week's game before assuming the Ravens are automatically getting a bye. Weirder things have happened this season.

Not quite that bad. I have to wrap a couple of gifts for my wife before we go up to visit the in-laws tomorrow. I decided to do it tomorrow morning so I could enjoy the football game. When I was single, I used to do that quite a bit. I actually would take unwrapped gifts to my parents' place so I could use their wrapping paper, tags, etc.
-
If I win this week, you need a win or losses by Smues and myself.

Anyone watching the Hawai'i Bowl? Second half's been pretty enjoyable. Colt Brennan broke the NCAA single-season TD record with 56 (and counting).
-
Any good deals? And was it sheer hell? I'm currently shopping for an LCD HDTV online at Future Shop (37" Sharp Aquos for $1500) and Best Buy (37" LG for $1000), and I'm beating my head against the desk. BOTH sites are down after heavily promoting their online Boxing Day sales that both start tonight at 8. I can see this happening maybe 3-4 years ago, when online shopping was fairly new, but you'd think they'd have figured out how to handle all their web traffic by now.

I'm pretty sure a KC win would be needed as well as a Denver loss, since KC holds a tiebreaker over Denver and Tennessee holds a tiebreaker over KC.
-
And then get sacked trying to drive for the trying FG.
-
Worst onside kick ever. Awesome win. Just AWESOME.
-
Yes, I foresee it. I guess you guys forgot how horrible the Packers looked on Thursday. That's why I wrote the part in bold.
-
Anyone else think the Packers have a shot at beating the Bears next week? In this season where past performance doesn't indicate a damn thing, I could see it happening.
-
Wow, Merry Christmas.

Eagles are 7-3 in conference, Giants and Packers are 6-5 in conference, Falcons, Panthers and Rams are all 5-6. The first three teams have the best shot at getting in. I think the Eagles might be in already. Atlanta loses any tiebreaker involving Carolina due to worse divisional record, and the Eagles would lose any tiebreaker involving the Giants due to worse record in common games.
