Texas Tech's going to OT against UTEP. UTEP put together a nice drive late. Texas Tech missed a 51-yarder that would've won it.

I was switching back and forth between that and the BC/Clemson game, but what I saw looked pretty good. They'll need to play like that for four quarters against their better opponents, obviously. As long as Thompson keeps getting better (and I think he probably will) so the defense has to stop constantly putting 8 men in the box to stop Peterson, they look to be on course for a good season. By the time the Red River Shootout rolls around, Thompson might be a better QB than McCoy.

Huh...the Sportsline ticker had the game as being a final at 34-27. Still does, in fact. 48-40 is even more heartbreaking.

So close...Bowling Green beat Buffalo 34-27 in OT.

I thought they weren't allowed to switch games to show extra coverage at the end. It's over, anyway. BC beat Clemson 34-33 in an amazing 2OT game. Clemson had an extra point blocked in the second OT, which turned out to be the difference.

I am disconsolate. I thought a third OT was in the bag.

A 17-point win over a passable BCS-conference team is fine. A lot better than a win in OT over the worst major team in the country. If Iowa can even get that.

They'll probably move ahead of Iowa, at least.

Wow, Syracuse tied it. If Iowa loses this game, they don't deserve to be ranked in the top 15 for the rest of this season. This could be SU's only victory all year.
