  1. Hell, it's on their website: http://www.wwe.com/shows/wrestlemania/clim...op/sdtlcphotos/
  2. I don't think Columbus has the defence or the goaltending to contend in the West. There's just too many good teams out there.
  3. Why do they keep saying Edge has never lost a TLC match? Did the 4-way TLC on SmackDown in 2001 never take place all of a sudden?
  4. LaDainian Tomlinson Shaun Alexander Edgerrin James Larry Johnson Tiki Barber Jamal Lewis Clinton Portis Deuce McAllister Willis McGahee Willie Parker
  5. Apparently so. I wasn't really questioning the validity of your source for the point spreads, but I just can't remember the Ravens being that big of a favorite over anyone. I almost want to switch the pick to Oakland just because even though I think the Ravens will win I doubt they'll win by almost 2 TDs, If they don't give up any points, it shouldn't be that hard to win by 14. And another shutout is very possible.
  6. The only thing this could conceivably affect is arbitration. What I think will happen is you're going to see more teams walk away from arbitration awards. Which is probably why the GMs are so pissed, because they know they're going to lose players they wouldn't have before. The whole idea of arbitration under a salary cap is ridiculous anyway.
  7. No, that was seventeen years ago.
  8. Whose guarantee is more nonsensical, Taylor's over USC or Roy Williams' over the Bears? I'm torn.
  9. There's no way Young would ever be just another good college player that flamed out in the pros (even if he does end up flaming out in the pros). He's the most memorable college player of my lifetime.
  10. I hate to say it, but Clarke's absolutely right on this one. I don't think there's much the other GMs can do. If they start signing guys to inflated deals out of spite, they're going to wrck their teams, because there won't be enough money for other guys they need. The Flyers had the money to spend, and no one should be whining about how they decide to spend it.
  11. Edited for accuracy. Actually, that's who he was constantly compared to during his freshman year. Sorry to ruin your cheap shot.
  12. Of course. From what I've read, Milbury was fired because he refused to negotiate the 15-year deal, and Neil Smith was fired for the same reason. So, the Islanders became the ultimate laughingstock for no other reason than Wang wanted this absurd deal to happen.
  13. That can't be right. What's to stop him from retiring tomorrow, or a year from now?
  14. Bees.
  15. ESPN tells me that the deal doesn't fall under the Mogilny Rule. It doesn't count against the cap if he retires. That's too bad. Still an albatross for the Islanders, thought, since no team will ever assume that contract.
  16. Magic Johnson signed a 25-year deal with the Lakers in 1981. Something tells me this contract won't work out quite as well as that one did.
  17. I want to find out if the Mogilny Rule applies here, and this contract stays on the cap until it expires, whether he retires or not. That would be the icing on the cake.
  18. I can't think of a single goalie in the league I'd give a 15-year deal to. If there was one goalie I HAD to give a 15-year deal to, though, it sure wouldn't be one with a career 2.86 GAA and .900 save %. It's going to be fun watching the Garth Snow Era on the Island.
  19. Ray Lewis must be having wet dreams about facing Oakland after seeing last night's game.
  20. The Islanders are set to re-sign Rick DiPietro for another FIFTEEN YEARS. No truth to the rumour that he'll also become the Islanders GM upon his retirement.

    Must've missed this, then: http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercurynews...ts/15497165.htm
  22. Ortiz just slipped down a Mountain with his stupid quotes from yesterday. The guy clearly has become me first and team second kind of player. It's a joke that he is ONLY concerned about an MVP award on 9/11 when his team fell right out of the playoff hunt over the past month and a half. Oh, puhleeze. He was asked a question after a game (on 9/10) and he answered it. Don't act like he held a press conference just to bitch about not being considered for MVP.

That was the longest penalty call explanation of all time.
