What was the biggest crowd pop EVER?

I throw my vote in the Austin pop during Rock/Mankind...just watched it this week in fact on the Foley DVD...talk about the perfect camera angle too...got the whole of the audience with the action in the ring...the crowd was hot the whole match too...picked up a little during Shamrock getting involved and the DX/Corporaton brawl and then boom...everybody looses their damn minds...they pop big for the pin also...just a great night that makes you miss the better times... A couple more- Rock blasting HHH with the chair during Catctus Jack/HHH from the curtain Hogan pinning Yokozuna at Mania Edge playing Matt Hardy's theme staredown between the Earthquake and Yokozuna in the 93 Rumble(marked hard for that) Marty Jannetty hitting the ring in the 94(I think) Rumble where HBK stops everything and the two start punching each other in the center of a filled ring and the most obvious....Undertaker/Foley Hell in A Cell as far as heels go...anybody hear the crowd just go "WTF" in unison and boo the fuck out of WWE during the Edge/Matt Hardy match at SummerSlam right when the bell was rung

    History of Violence

I have to say that after reading the drilling that myself and others have been giving you in The Hills Have Eyes thread this was actually quite funny...it's clear that you have some wit my friend but your never say die attitude in the other thread was quite pitiful...I just wonder how you EVER made it through the oh-so-slow build in the opening minutes of this movie...

    WWE Wrestler Salaries

Eddie Guerrero: $372,000- This is the most bullshit I've read in a long time...Eddie was the most over face world champ in a long time and i saw tons of his shirts in the crowd...hopefully his family is getting some of the merchandise from all the stuff being sold now.

    The Hills Have Eyes

It is a known fact that the law enforcement agencies of Crystal Lake, Elm Street, Texas as well as the New Mexico desert are too busy with kids drinking and having sex than to concern themselves with a trifle thing like mass murder...besides...most of the people killed were city slicker outsiders with no business in their neck of the woods anyways...and we all saw what Michael Myers did to the cops when they decided to get involved....

    The Hills Have Eyes

My thoughts exactly. Some really shocking/intense/gritty/dirty moments with the trailer scene and others here and there, just unabashed violence which someone fits the context of the twisted story in the first place. It just went hand in hand. Some of the stuff made me a little unnerved in it (and there just HAD to be some moments cut with the rape scene there), which doesnt happen to me much with these kind of films. So a job well done by Aja. Much better to me than the original - with that said, has anyone seen the old sequal to Hills Have Eyes? Just ran into it on Netflix but have yet to check it out. I haven't seen the sequel in many years but I do remember that I watched it before I saw the original film...from what I remember it features three of the survivors(the boy,Beast and Ruby, the mutant who helps the family) traveling with some MotorCross guys to test a super fuel and they just happen to stumble in to a new mountain refuge were the remainders of the family live.... one thing I did miss from the new movie was the names the mutants had...they called one of them Papa Jupiter but some of the others were alson named after the planets or Roman gods...

    The Hills Have Eyes

I would tend to think that any guy over the age of 11 has a difficult time being scared of any "horror" film these days..in fact I'm more frightened by "The Corporation" then any Wes Craven flick(I know he didn't direct the new Hills movie)...but the gals in the theatre were definately jumping and screaming when something popped out...the tempo of the film just created that sense of impending doom and intensity that really kept you glued to the screen. The opening scene with the guys testing the radiation levels was a good way to set the mood if you will...I still don't know how after that scene where three people get the shit kicked out of them followed by loud music with pictures of deformities could leave someone so bored that they would subsequently miss some major plot points in the movie...one has to assume that this person was either talking with freinds during the movie and missed these points or fell asleep..

Can somebody please explain what a "Donner Cut" is?

    The Hills Have Eyes

Some of these repsonses are just hilarious. I find it hard to believe that someone could be so "bored" as to miss multiple scenes where two dogs bark in the window of the RV and then later tear off in to the desert and have to be drug back by the kid. These were not quick flashes of dogs here...they were full scenes well before Beauty is killed. Perhaps you should pay better attention to the movie before laying any more critisms..otherwise how else can anyone really take you seriously. I really am challenging some of you naysayers to put up some of your favorite horror films. The Ring? okay...good horror movie. Seven is just badass on a multi-genre level. THHE stands up as one of the better horror films of..well f' it I'll go ahead and say the last decade at least . I really found the acting to be quite good and realistic...no.. with the chaos of the dad burning and screaming I doubt anyone was paying attention to what was going on in the RV...they did mind you a moment later..and the underlying theme of this film is one of utter chaos placed right in the lap of an unsuspecting family...these aren't trained soldiers so they do make some mistakes but I don't think that the son of a cop is uncapable of ever learning some boobytraps...hell after watching that movie I could make the same trap.

    The Hills Have Eyes

Watched it last night...theatre was packed on the Sunday 7:55 show...some people walked out...bathroom or just disgusted(it was about the time of the rape) and I doubt it was because of boredom...I loved it...very intense movie..had some good scares that were not given away by the damn music changing or something...many girls screamed..my girlfriend was junped about every time something "scarey" happened...I would say that it is the best horror movie that I've sean in a while...maybe tied with Saw II but I think that THHE is still better... ....on a side note I left actually thinking that some people on this board would lie or even love this film but of course the first post is "it sucked..don't waste your time"...it makes me curious as to what some of you guys actually consider to be a good horror movie...I don't consider Se7en a real horror movie but it's close...it's just a badass "dark" movie...but seriously...I thought that this was about as good as gets for Horror and after the total letdown of Hostel and the saturatioin of the Japanese remake films THHE was very refreshing...that is if you can call a movie about mutants canabalizing and raping an unsuspecting family refreshing... ...and finally I loved Beast...my favorite charcter in all 3 of The Hills Have Eyes movies...

Writer assistant from Smackdown writes to Meltzer

Even if the whole roster tried to resign Vince would say something to get them to stay. I mean look at Foley, he had strong words for Vince and WWE on his blog and yet there he was on Raw Monday...and I can't see anybody leaving ...maybe one or two but I doubt it...people continue to talk about how people are frustrated about the direction so it makes me wonder if TNA is making any preparations for any stars who do try and leave? Don't get me wrong..I'd love to see it somehow but it's difficult to imagine...

    Joey Styles is terrible!

I have no idea who this Chris Cruise fellow is but I loved how he bashed Styles for being an "insincere shill" and how "you never got the feeling Ross was acting" but then he says that during an attempted pinfall everybody at the announce table should go about their business because the fans fucking know when the pinfall will take place? This guy needs to watch some more matches then because even though I might know who is going over 99% of the time, I would never want to listen to a match where the the announcer no sells the pinfall attempt. That adds more credibilty than Joey screeming about what a monster Kane is when "we all know" he jobs most of the time....pathetic....

    Hall of Fame: Class 2006

While we're on the subject of Perfect then how about The Ravishing One...and if Arn gets in will Ole and Tully be far behind...i know Arn is vastly more popular but it's a thought...and I would love to see the Hart Foundation all go in on the same show with the Canadian Stampede match in it's entirety as a special feature on the HOF DVD( they should do a story on each man with matches and not put this with Mania's DVD)
  18. The fans turned on Michaels about that time too...Rey already has Eddie Guerro to second him and I think that's enough...although somebody was right that bringing in Sr. for a couple of weeks to then get attacked by Orton so that Rey gives him a match for the Mania spot would be about the only thing I can think of that would make sense...Orton should just be made to wait until SS...they ain't gonna have two heels win the main events anyways and you know HHH won't wait longer than a year to get the title back....
  19. Cole says Trevor Murdoch is a "strange looking dude"...obviously he's been gangin around with the juiced up SuperStars of the WWE for a bit too long...
  20. The crowd seems to be getting a little tired of all these eliminations and I haven't seen Rey do a damn thing for ten minutes at least...TNA should do a Rumble at their next PPV...
  21. Man these guys don't seem to wanna get off the mat for nothing...damn this might be a short Rumble match
  22. BOOOO!!!...This is gonna be an interesting Rumble
  23. Here is a stupid but true statement...Rey CANNOT headline a WrestleMania with that crap as his entrance music...but I still hope he wins
