  1. Am I the only person that liked Deja Vu?
  2. IIRC the Robocop in the box set is practically barebones. You're better off getting the new release that came out a few months ago. I got it at Wal-Mart for $20 and I think they're still selling the director's cut of Payback for $14. Edited: Troy has a director's cut coming out also.
  3. They turned him briefly face during his semi-feud with Austin during the power struggle within the Alliance while Austin still had to contend with Angle. After the No Mercy PPV though (that RVD mainevented in a triple threat match against both Austin and Angle for the title), RVD and Austin acted like their little feud never happened. RVD was still "heel" until the Alliance ended and was then a face afterwards without an actual turn or kayfabe reason.
  4. I could have done without Nash's run-in, but I'm glad to know the finish was clean. Sting Vs. Angle, I've been waiting for this match for so long and I'm grateful that, for the most part, it was booked properly and we got such a dream match for a PPV main event with the world title on the line. Who'd ever thought a few years ago that we would see Kurt Angle wrestling Sting? Shit, it was only like yesterday to me that Angle called the match right down the middle as the special ref to declare Sting the world champion only for them, one year later at the same event, to be fighting each other for that very title. So the question is did Angle's DUI arrest play a role in him losing the title or was Sting winning regardless? Anyways, thank you, TNA! I'm very satisfied with what I got tonight and it could have gone either way, since I like both guys, but what a great, great finish we got! Dreams do come true.
  5. At least he didn't get busted for weed!
  6. I voted for Other: Vs. Kurt Angle at Wrestlemania 20 Moment: When he returned to El Paso as the U.S. Champion, that welcome home celebration he got along with the hilarious promo he cut is something I will never forget. At least he didn't kill anybody. I always imagined that if Cena remained on Smackdown, he would've defended the WWE Championship against heel Guerrero at SummerSlam.
  7. I thought The Pacifier did well at the box office? Diesel was pretty good in Boiler Room. Riddick was cool, but after seeing Ice Cube's performance, I wish Diesel had came back for XXX 2. (Were they filming the sequels at the same time?)
  8. Anybody know the name of the song that plays in the trailer? Too true.
  9. Yup, Helmsley insulted the the very belt he was holding right over his own shoulder. On page 25 of The WWE’s special issue magazine,”The Complete History of Champions” in the upper right hand corner while discussing the title’s history the text reads as follows: Case closed! The WWE has now officially admitted what I’ve said from the start. The WCW and WHC World titles are one and the same. Go out and get a copy right away so that you will always have official documentation to show any remaining non-believers. The legacy of the WCW Championship lives on!
  10. More of a "HHH had already wrestled two matches and sustained "injured ribs"" way. But hey, you take what you can get with him, I guess. It could be argued that Orton was put over because it was done clean and Randy wasn't exactly a fresh contender (like Edge has done in the past) either.
  11. These are all the Last Man Standing matches I can think of, if anybody can remember any more, feel free to add. The Rock Vs. Mankind - St. Valentine's Day Massacre Chris Jericho Vs. HHH - Fully Loaded 2000 Chris Jericho Vs. Kane - Armageddon 2000 Shane McMahon Vs. The Big Show - Backlash 2001 Shane McMahon Vs. Kane - Unforgiven 2003 Shawn Michaels Vs. HHH - Royal Rumble 2004 Kurt Angle Vs. JBL - SD (forgot when though) Edge Vs. ----- ------ @ Backlash 2005 Ric Flair Vs. HHH - Survivor Series 2005 The Undertaker Vs. The Great Khali - Final SD before SummerSlam 2006 John Cena Vs. Umaga - Royal Rumble 2007 Batista Vs. The Undertaker - Backlash 2007 Randy Orton Vs. HHH - No Mercy 2007
  12. Aside from The Royal Rumble and Backlash, the rest of the PPVs this year have been pure crap IMO. Now with Orton being the champ, I hope they finally let destroy that fucking belt spinner belt tomorrow night or at least throw it in the garbage where it belongs.
  13. Randy Orton after tonight?
  14. BEST FUCKING PPV OF THE YEAR HAND DOWN! So fucking glad Orton finally became champion again. Some things truly are worth waiting for. Props to HHH, after having this sick feeling in my stomach about him holding the title until Mania again, he does the right thing and puts RKO over big time!
  15. Picks: Orton (or Jericho by the grace of God) Batista HHH Punk Mysterio Phoenix I'm not interested in a Fatal Fourway or Jeff Hardy winning the title. Hopefully, somebody will just take Cena's place and they'll continue with the Last Man Standing stipulation. I'm very disappointed MVP / Hardy Vs. BoD won't be a part of the card, I was really looking forward to that match before I found it was the main event of the next televised SD. I've always liked No Mercy ever since they started it in 1999. I haven't seen a bad show yet. This card looks pretty good for the most. Hopefully, they won't rehash Unforgiven's handling from last month and completely fuck this show up with stupid ass booking. I think Backlash this year only had 6 matches as well.
  16. October 5th, 1997 marked the debut of Kane, and the Hell in a Cell match at Bad Blood. Happy anniversary to both things. Discuss your best memories of the most demonic wrestler in sports-entertainment history, and the most demonic structure in sports-entertainment history!
  17. Loved the first one. 2F2F sucked ass, but I blame Tyrese for it. Tokyo Drift was a lot better than I thought it would be. I'm looking foward to this especially if they can bring back the original duo.
  18. Highlander sucked as soon as Richie was killed off, in pathetic fashion I might add.
  19. There's a Director's Cut of Commando out now.
  20. Why was Tatanka fired?
  21. I remember when Jericho was on Larry King during the ------ tragedy, he was asked about returning to the WWE. He said something like "I'm in the process of filing the papers to be reinstated." with a smile and a wink.
  22. Is Jeff Hardy still the IC Champion? It'll be cool to see him be double champion as IC Champion and WWE Champion since the Ultimate Warrior.
  23. I don't see how its HBK at all. The promo just isn't his style. Wouldn't it be cool if Jericho took Cena's place and won the WWE Championship at No Mercy?
