I listened to him until they took him off my local radio station. Very funny--he does the fake guest voices and has them say outrageous things, the callers buy into it and hilarity ensues. He does a fantastic job of reacting to the upset callers while in character. It's like a typical talk radio show, only in some parallel universe. He was supposed to do a sitcom for NBC this fall. He has said that he has been under fire for coming out in favor of Bush/Iraq war and that it might jeopardize the sitcom. We'll see, it may still happen. BTW, last name is Hendrie.

Damn, Vyce, I'm with you, Arnold is a centrist. But some of his social positions are on the liberal side. He has stated he wants to build up government social programs, he is pro-choice, is in support of homosexual adoption, and favors certain gun control laws. Having said that, he aint no typical liberal democrat. And of course we are all still waiting clarification of his stances. I'm a fan and would love to see him shake up things.

I can't help but be glad Issa is taking a little on the chin. This whole recall thing is too much "I didn't like the outcome of the election, so I'm throwing millions to recall." Well then, why did the voters put him in for a second term? They should have taken care of it then. From what I understand, things started to screw up during his first term. Now we're just going to get Republicans targeted for recall. And some of the more, ahem, strident Conservatives will bitch about it when it happens, but right now they are loving it. Of course, the same applies to Liberals who oppose this, but will love it when it happens to a Republican. Ah, politics.

I think Matt Stone and Trey Parker need to do a follow-up to their Ben / J-Lo South Park episode (one of the funniest ever). BTW, there's already rumors of infidelity Ben at strip club) and a break-up. Yeah, it's just tabloid at this point, but hey, it's the dog days of summer, and I for one enjoy seeing these two fall to pieces after their sickening media saturation a couple weeks ago.

Both Powell and Armitage have denied everything about the story. This includes the part of the story that asserts they are planning on leaving office if Bush is re-elected. They both have spoken on this directly, not through spokespersons. They say the entire story is baseless and inaccurate.

I'm seeing them this Saturday in Columbus. I've been wanting to see them ever since 1984!! Damn, I was hoping they would put Wrathchild on the set, oh well. Anyway, it's a Di-Anno song, I don't know if Bruce's voice fits it. I've got Visions of the Beast DVD playing constantly, good stuff.

Deputy Secretary of State, (the Wash. Post says he will step down along with Powell) Richard L. Armitage has denied the story. The author of the article also made allegations a while ago that Jim Baker was going to be in charge of the Iraq rebuilding process--which came as a surprise to Mr. Baker, since the story was inaccurate. Powell himself has also denied it in a radio interview. More major media slop, when will they learn.

This movie is already at #2 in IMDB's Bottom 100 movies of all-time and has the lowest rating ever at Rotten Tomatoes review site. It is as big a disaster as 'Battlefield Earth', 'Swept Away', and for you old schoolers, 'Ishtar.' Yet our friend Ebert gives it 2 1/2 stars and praises some its great scenes. The last 12 movies he has reviewed, he has given a grand total of 2 movies 2 stars or worse. This guy has become nothing but a senile shill for hollywood. Matt Stone and Trey Parker recently said Ebert is insane, hehe. They are right on. Have any of you heard snippets of dialouge from this mess? Have any of you poor bastards seen it? Tyler: I guess I'm speaking from what I know. I said 'reinforces' because I served in the military from 1984-1987. But you are right, it's silly to draw large scale conclusions from one letter. Well, Nicko was a dumbass that night, but I'm not canceling my plans to see them in Columbus, OH on 9 Aug. He has yet to mention the incident in his "Nicko dairies" section at the Maiden web site. Hopefully he tell what happened and own up to acting a fool. Judging from his previous writings he seems like an affable dude, he musta just flipped his lid for whatever reason. Up the Irons!!

I have no admiration for Boone and Bowden (good riddance), but firing these guys is like firing Dave Shula, Dick LaBeau, Bruce Coslett...who gives a shit, it's not going to solve anything. If these jerks (Allen and Lindner) were really concerned with putting a winning team on the field they would have gotten some help. Allen said in his press conference that the Reds were once at 2 1/2 games out so they are close to being a winning team...well then, why didn't you and Uncle Carl procure the help that was needed to get them over the hump?
