  1. Now, now, the shift button is our friend. While it's cool that the national poll is tied, it's just so pointless to look at. RCP has it 227-207 McCain, or 273-265 Obama, if you count every state
  2. Good thing you're not owning a wrestling company. It's natural for wrestlers to get frustrated once in a while, especially given the grind of pro wrestling. Every wrestler deserves some time off
  3. Mr. Feeny is Boy Meets World. Mr. Belding is Saved by the Bell
  4. Given how profitable they are, I don't see that happening. And I still don't see how the product is so bad and what would need "shaking" up?
  5. Douglas is an 8th grade history teacher, and was also a manager at Target
  6. It was all Shane Douglas trying to make a name for himself. Ric Flair has every right to take shots at him, don't see why Choken feels the need to diss Flair.
  7. He is a manger at Target. That's a job, a career. He can't perform anymore, so the indy circuit isn't a option. He's making a steady income and keeping his health and his sanity intact while Flair is paying off huge debts, wrestling into his 60's, getting divorced and getting his ass kicked by his daughter's boyfriend. He teaches history at a middle school in Pennsylvania. And Flair's not 60 years old, Choken. And he didn't get his ass kicked by his daughter's boyfriend.

  9. She's still a featured player? I ffed through the intros. Yea, Casey should move up. I love her
  10. Darrell knows that once he leaves SNL, that's it for him. SNL knows that once Darrell leaves SNL, that's it for him. The guy obviously doesn't care that he's in one skit per show and has no interaction with the cast, and SNL feels he's valueable to them if they need a quick impression.
  11. That's my answer though. I don't really care, since this has been known for a long time. I liked her, won't miss her, and glad she's finally moving on. One thing I hate about SNL is Lorne's refusal to fire anyone, so everyone just stays on forever because they can't find work outside SNL
  12. I've seen Star Wars and ROTJ but never Empire. I saw Phantom Menace and Sith but not Clones. I like beginnings and ends, just not middles
  13. I don't see how that's a story given that everyone knew she was leaving the minute they announced she was doing a show with Greg Daniels. I knew for a while that 07-08 was going to be her last year, but then because of the strike, she stayed on for a while. So this is old news.
  14. He was calling me while watching the movie
  15. Is this counting his run from 2000-2002?
  16. LaParka wins the thread. My friend called me in the middle of Proud American to provide a distraction
  17. One of the few times I ever felt uncomfortable watching wrestling. That was just awful, still can't believe Vince didn't think to edit it out
  18. They couldn't have, since Spike TV didn't want him either. Hassan was supposed to face Big Dave in DC and job
  19. Cabana should just ask for his release, he's going nowhere. Except for big pay checks. Not really. Lower-tier WWE stars don't make that much money, especially when you factor in travel costs, taxes and paying for health insurance. Everyone went over this last week, JN News. Another reason for you to hope Vince dies penniless!
  20. Northwest has $391 to Seattle, and I'd go from Monday to Thursday, taking a redeye back Friday morning. Of course, first I have to get a ticket to the game. My friend put it best saying: When else will you get to see this? Funnily enough, I know the Canucks' president's brother, but I don't think that will get me far
  21. No, Truthiness isn't getting carried away at all. Cena's an awesome wrestler.
  22. I'm still debating whether to go. I don't make or have a lot of money which is the big drawback obviously. But Trevor Linden's my favourite player and I always said I wanted to see them retire #16 in person, and now it's happening. I checked amtrack, it's $60 roundtrip Seattle to Vancouver, so I'm exploring my options. People have said, is it worth (x) amount just to see this, and that's the thing: is it? I've never seen a Canucks home game before and I went to the game where they honoured Sittler and the Knicks game where they retired Ewing's #33 and those were just incredible moments
  23. Dave Scherer's such an awful writer. We get it Dave, you think WWE creative sucks
