  1. I'll try to do it this week. I'm sorry I've been so lax lately, but real job always gets in the way of long winded SNL review that pays 0.
  2. You are correct, they are expensive. I was thinking of looking for a flight to Seattle and then taking the train if I can't find a cheaper flight

    NFL Week 3

According to zap2it, NY gets Saints-Broncos on Sunday. I'm really excited, though I think the Broncos might top 50 points
  4. BARON - [sic] But then the heels beat two geezers and a comedy figure and get chased away by Cryme Tyme and Kofi. The way they booked the segment was fine, you're just nitpicking for the sake of nitpicking, He's been really good in this angle, and I like the new aggressive Jamie Noble. Jericho-HBK is the main event, that's what's going to sell the PPV anyway. So there's nothing wrong with Santino doing a little comedy, and I like that they had him stand up to Orton.
  5. I saw Deconstructing Harry with my grandma, which was really embarassing. I haven't seen the whole movie, but what I've seen of Celebrity, I loved.
  6. I haven't bought a pair of shoes in almost three years. That pleases me.
  7. I'm not saying he shouldn't see Manhattan because of it, I was just saying how it's interesting to hear Allen have such a negative opinion on one of his most revered works.
  8. I suspect someone say, 40, is more likely to have seen more movies starring the likes of Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn then a lot of people my age. And that's not to say there aren't cases such as the posters here, who grew up watching these movies evidently. But I didn't. It's not like we're talking about a science here, we're talking about movies. A form of entertainment. I personally can't get into most classic, or foreign films for that matter, and thus, I don't watch them. Because they aren't entertaining to me. That being the case, why would I watch them? I'm not a film student. Movies have nothing to do with my major, any future jobs I might have, and in general I have no reason to study movies like some others need to. In all, I'm still not seeing how my lack of knowledge in regards to old movies makes me an "ignoramus", but whatever. >_>
  9. MANHATTAN (1979) A wistfully romantic ode to Allen's hometown and an indelible portrait of angsty urbanites in search of love, this gorgeously shot, Gershwin-drenched comic drama grossed nearly $40 million, Allen's biggest hit up to this point, and was hailed as another triumph — by everyone but Allen himself. I was so disappointed when I saw my final cut, I thought, If this is as good as I can do at this point, I shouldn't be making films. I went to United Artists and said, ''Look, don't put this out. I'll make another film, no charge.'' They thought I was nuts. And it was a very, very big hit. Audiences don't have the same criteria I do. They say, Okay, you had some grandiose idea and maybe you failed, but we like this film. So once again, I shut up and just felt I got away with it. I got off with my life. ew.com
  10. Exsclade should be violently punched in the face, everytime he does >_>. Seriously.
  11. It's funny, because Allen hates Manhattan.
  12. Yea, I never felt like posting there. I liked posting at the Voy message board, though I haven't been there in a while. I roll my eyes at a lot of the insider stuff or rumours people post though. Good times.
  13. Oh man, Kamala. You read my mind. I love Woody Allen and am so excited that my local arts theatre is showing Annie Hall next week. Woody Allen movies I love: Annie Hall Purple Rose of Cairo Everyone Says I Love You Match Point I haven't seen everything, but pretty much mid 70s-late 80s, he was on fire. There's a really good look at his films at EW where he gives his opinion.
  14. Which SNL message board do you post at Kamala?
  15. This is a rather pointless thread. I've never seen Jurassic Park or Empire Strikes Back
  16. They won the match in impressive fashion= over. And the fans love King and are warming up to Haas, so that doesn't hurt him at all. It was a rib, just like what they did to JBL.
  17. I apologise if this has been posted but Linden's number is being retired December 17 against Edmonton. Time to look up flights to BC
  18. Adamle's fucking up hard
  19. I think some of you guys need sarcasm detectors
  20. Not really, no. So you found redeeming qualities in that segment...? Fuck it....I've watched too much Mid South Lately to enjoy this shit. You said it was main eventers v. an announcer and comedy jobber, and that's not the case at all. It was a short match, that got Team Priceless over, gave Kofi some airtime, King a hometown match and showcased Haas' comedy.
  21. Not really, no.
  22. No, I saw it in regular format. In the movie's defence, the swooping shots do look cool at times, but man, this movie summed up why the rest of the world hates America.
  23. It's part of bully gimmick, he thinks the title picture should revolve around him.
  24. The music was the best part. Every song was some loud inspirational song about how you can do anything. Because you live in America. Which is awesome. And there's a random scene of a guy preaching the I Have a Dream speech. And a montage of war memorials. And a guy who sells clams!
  25. Nah, Punk's pretty over. One day you won't be blind to that, hopefully.
