  1. I'd probably watch the WS if the Yanks were in, just to root against them. Astros v. Yankees is death though. That'd be almost as bad as Yankees v. Fish from 2003.
  2. That series was awesome. I remember everyone at ESPN, the papers and all my friends didn't give the Braves a game in that series. And then they made Houston their personal bitch. I didn't even care that the D-Backs destroyed them. As I've said, I want the Braves to win but Pettite/Clemens/Oswalt sounds unbeatable in a short series. Especially Pettite. Except for that one World Series game where he tipped his pitches, the guy is very reliable. If Fox got Angels-Chi Sox, I think they would pre-empt it with episodes of House and The OC.
  3. Yankees v. Astros since I wouldn't want either team winning. If the World Series doesn't have Boston or Atlanta, I probably won't watch though.
  4. Astros in 4 Cards in 3 Sox in 4 Angels in 5. I wish MLB would release the times already, so I know which Braves games I have to miss.
  5. Paul Bearer is the new commissioner. That's really lame and not what I wanted to see.
  6. Samberg has a big Jewish nose and looks really young. Hader doesn't have a big Jewish nose
  7. Yes. As is Finnese.
  8. The host did WU until December, when Christopher Guest took over.
  9. Astros over Braves in 4 Cards over Padres in 3 LAA over NYY in 5 Boston over ChiSox in 4
  10. You are not an indicator of anything. I've seen trailers non-stop since April.
  11. I don't know if it was Samberg, but I watched Kicked in the Nuts on Channel 101, and it was hilarious. Tina and Amy are horrible together, but Horatio is a black hole of suck onto himself. Tina, as bad as she got last year, still had some really funny jokes. Horatio had one joke I remotely liked (I don't remember it) but the rest were just cringe worthy.
  12. Well in 2001, Cox played the regulars at the end. The last 4 games this year were meaningless, so I don't think that's the best indicator. But this bullpen is going to give me a heart attack.
  13. I remember that but they didn't really back in. Also the Braves still had Glavine and Maddux and Millwood, and Houstin didn't have Petite and Clemens. Edit: They also won 4 of their last 5 games that year. As opposed to this year where we lost 5 of the last 6. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> In 2001 they only won 88 games and the injury bug hit hard. It got so bad they went to Mexico and brought in Julio. They also had that late charge by the Mets to contend with. And Millwood wasn't good in 01 either. I just remember 2001 being a nightmare for most of the season, and they just lucked out that the Mets underachieved until September. I hate to break it to you, but no one really cares about what you think either. Given that the Phillies are eliminated, don't you have some long-winded post to make about how horrible the whole organisation is?
  14. Remember in 2001 when the Braves backed into the postseason and then proceeded to rape the Astros? No? Okay, because I'm really hoping somehow that happens again.
  15. I thought 03 was one of the best really. Beside the amazing Yankee/Sox series, and the great Cubs/Marlins series, you had the terrific Marlins/Giants series which ended with a Giant getting throw out at the plate. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> But the World Series was Yankees v. Fish. While the 2004 World Series sucked, at least everyone got to see Boston finally win one.
  16. I don't know who to trust besides Farnsworth. Reitsma is horrible and Foster has faded down the stretch. Boyer is hurt and sucked today. I like Horacio, but he's too inconsistent. Ditto Davies.
  17. Boston is in.
  18. Given how horrible Houston's offence is, I think the Jones' can get us one win, especially if Smoltz or Hudson can go 7 or 8. I'm just waiting for Jorge Sosa to have his one bad start.
  19. Oh My God. I know it's a meaningless game and all, but the Braves bullpen is horrible.
  20. Do you think we get 1 or 2 wins v. Houston? I have a feeling Smoltz's shoulder is much worse then they're letting on.
  21. He may have gotten off to a horrible start, but Colin Quinn ended up pretty funny. He was pretty much set up to fail from the getgo, and I think it overshadows some of the good work he did at the end. While Tina and Amy are annoying, at least Tina still always had some funny jokes to make it somewhat enjoyable and had good time. Horatio was just awful, and his timing was worse then Amy's.
  22. 6-0 Boston after a Manny home run. Not a good day for Cleveland.
  23. Good to know that even in my absence, making reference to Lacey being a whore still goes on. Nigel's new heel shtick really sounds great. My friend who rolls his eyes at my Nigel markdom, said Nigel was a great heel. Did anyone yell JAMIE BAH GOD GIBSON THE REDNECK MESSIAH?
  24. I like shorts.
  25. I was thinking that Horatio was a one week deal too, but then again I also hoped Amy would be gone by midseason.
