The guy was in the series finale of Joan and the series premiere of Ghost Whisperer. That's freaky.
-
Hopefully it drops off next week. Last year, Dateline was beating Joan, so hopefully the same holds true. WILAY finished in 6th again, although they didn't release the ratings for it. It did okay last week, so hopefully the ratings hold steady. Killer Instinct did a 3.5, I don't know if that's bad or not.

You forgot cpac.

Rose still violated one of baseball's most sacred rules and lied about it in a pathetic attempt to get sympathy. He shouldn't be in the HOF. No, but I don't see a problem with people going on about how he's a scumbag.

And as a non-Mets/Rockies fan, I could have told you Mike Hampton was a bad idea. See? No point in that. It's fun to watch other teams look stupid. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not really. Hampton was effective last year, and was doing great this year until his injury. And he was good on the Mets, so your point is moot.

As a Braves fan, I could've told you Jared Wright was a bad idea.

A fairly strong opening for "Ghost Whisperer" and the return of "Numb3rs"led CBS to a ratings win on the first Friday of the season. CBS averaged a 6.7 rating/12 share in primetime, beating NBC, 5.6/10, by a fairly comfortable margin. ABC took third at 4.7/8, while FOX and UPN tied for fourth at 3.0/5. The WB trailed with a 1.8/3. Among adults 18-49, CBS' 2.8 rating was tops, followed by ABC, 2.4, and NBC, 2.3. FOX finished fourth in the demographic at 1.7, edging UPN's 1.6. The WB averaged 1.2. The premiere of "Ghost Whisperer," starring Jennifer Love Hewitt as a woman who sees dead people, posted a 7.3/13 for CBS at 8 p.m. NBC came in second with "Dateline," 6.3/11. The season premiere of "Supernanny" posted a 3.9/7 for ABC to finish third, ahead of "Friday Night Smackdown!" on UPN. The hour-long season premiere of "The Bernie Mac Show" on FOX was fifth at 2.6/5. The WB went with "What I Like About You" and "Twins." From zap2it You all should be ashamed.

Well with San Diego, we at least have a chance. With Houston, we're gonna die. Maybe this is going to be reminiscent of 2001, where the Braves backed into the playoffs, and proceeded to rape Houston.

Michael's indignation with the guy being named Mr. Brown makes the episode for me. The Office : Office Olympics With Michael and Dwight out of the office, Jim and Pam organize an employee competition. Okay, enough with Jim and Pam. (That's the episode airing Oct 4)

$4 at Wendy's?? What'd you get?

In Canada, How I Met Your Mother is airing on Sundays at 9:30. Killer Instinct was stupid and campy, but it was a fun Friday night show. The fact that the new partner gets written out after the pilot is funny.

From mediaweek- Over at once dominant NBC, the lights continue to dim on Thursday. The one-hour season-premiere of Joey (just what we needed, right?) dipped to a mere 6.3/ 9 in the overnights, 7.84 million viewers and a 3.2/ 9 among adults 18-49 from 8-9 p.m. To illustrate just how weak Joey is, take a look at the first half-hour versus the series-premiere of UPN’s higher-rated Everybody Hates Chris: Thursday 8-8:30 p.m. Joey (NBC) – season premiere Overnights: 6.1/ 9 (#4), Viewers: 7.57 million (#3), A18-49: 3.0/ 9 (#3) Everybody Hates Chris (UPN) – premiere Overnights: 6.6/10 (#2), Viewers: 7.58 million (#2), A18-49: 3.2/ 9 (#2) Everybody Hates Chris was most-watched sitcom in the history of UPN, building from former occupant WWE Smackdown! on the year-ago evening by 3.58 million viewers, 53 percent among adults 18-34, and 78 percent among adults 18-49. Ignited by Chris, UPN year-to-year was up 10 percent on Thursday among adults 18-49.

How have you not heard anything about this show? It's been hyped as UPN's saviour since May

Guy's gotta eat

I think it will do well in week 1 and then fade. And there's no show I want to fail more then that one.
-
wildpegasus scares me. How old is that girl in your sig?
-
It was good, but it couldn't touch Diversity Day or the one where Michael organises a basketball game and thinks Stanley should play because he's black
-
I also think given that Still Standing didn't do that well, CBS could've moved Joan of Arcadia to Wednesday at 8. You know, instead of cancelling it so Jennifer Love Hewitt can talk to dead people. The dead guy in the pilot of Ghost Whisperer was the same guy who played Joan's main protagnoist in the final. Creepy.
-
It does make sense though, since it's been hinted since the pilot Jim has an attraction to Pam. They just overdid it in the third act.
-
I bet NBC wants more focus on Jim-Pam, even though it's not funny and killed the momentum the show was building up. I thought the horrible singing was funny, especially the Oh Yeaaaaah sound effect.
