UFC 88: Breakthrough - Liddell vs. Evans
Cuban Linx replied to jackmcmanus21's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
The UFC assuming one guy will win blows their plans up in their faces yet again, so much for Forrest/Chuck now. Memorable ending to an otherwise unspectacular show. -
Two weeks in and i've already matched my entire loss total from last year.

So much for any shot at being undefeated again, unless Illinois and Missouri now go scoreless for almost two quarters i'll lose. Stupid tiebreakers. Edit: Officially 0-1, possibly for the first time ever.
-
At least Jose Vidro and his 65 OPS+ this year can say he wasn't quite the shittiest DH of all time, though it was close.
-
Lets go low scoring defensive struggle! I think i have a good record when going to tiebreakers, so hopefully that continues.

I'll likely be keeping Johan Santana (1), Jake Peavy (3), Matt Kemp (6), Curtis Granderson (11), Jair Jurrjens (15) and Hanley Ramirez (20). Which is probably an improvement over my keepers last year, so something good came from this season at least.

I expect the Titans to return to the playoffs, even in the toughest division with a questionable quarterback and basically no passing game, though Alge Crumpler will help. Running the ball all day and pounding teams with their defense worked last year and during/following their Superbowl run, with both looking likely to remain among the best in the NFL i see no reason it shouldn't work again. While the division they play in is a buzzsaw their out of division schedule looks quite favorable. They should be able to beat most out of the Bengals, Vikings, Ravens, Chiefs, Bears, Jets and Lions, and the three toughest non-division teams they face (Browns, Steelers, Packers) they all face at home. A 10-6 record and a wild card spot looks well within reach, possibly more if Vince Young continues to develop and they find a receiver or two worth a damn.

I was born in between Purple Rain and Ghostbusters being #1.

I'll be in to defend my championship, though we need the league ID# to join up. EDIT: Found it, it's 502360.

Saturday is fine with me.

Bolt is incredible. Crushed the competition in both races running absurd times in the process, and the scary thing is at 21 years old he's only scratching the surface of how good he could be. Hard to believe anyone could overshadow what Michael Phelps has achieved this Olympics, but Usain Bolt might have done it.
-
Usain Bolt sure is fast. It's not that long ago a time like 9.69 seconds in the 100m was unthinkable, this guy makes it look easy. God only knows what sort of time he'd do if he didn't spend the final 20m posturing to the crowd.

Another day, another gold for Phelps.

First week i get the #2 team and the week after i get the #3 team, trying to kill my chances of going undefeated early this year.
