I was really impressed with Huerta's scrambling and defensive ground skills, and of course using the big screens to elbow Crane behind him. Every time i see him i like him more, now we just need to see Roger against someone who isn't making their UFC debut against him. Huerta vs Pellegrino perhaps? Works for me. Grove losing sucks, but other than that Stevenson/Pellegrino, St. Pierre putting Koscheck in his place and Couture once against proving he is the man made this a damn good show.

The pool of blood belonged to David Heath.

My team could range anywhere from awesome to terrible. Shawn Alexander's coming off injury, Marshawn Lynch is a rookie and i wish i went for someone other than Thomas Jones in the 2nd round, other than Anquan Boldin my WR's, QB's and Tight End are all question marks. The one part of my team i am confident in is my defence. Keith Bulluck, Brian Urlacher, Zach Thomas & Mike Peterson at DL, Ronde Barber, Gibril Wilson, Sean Taylor and Antoine Winfield at DB. Without looking at everyone else i can't imagine anyone has a defensive lineup to match that.

I'm in as Vick's Dog Fighters in both leagues.

Interest in an SWF Fantasy Football (American) League?
Cuban Linx replied to Sly's topic in Community/General
I'll be in with my freaky Aussie voodoo, Fantasy Football's just about the only SWF-related thing i manage to participate in without giving up 3 weeks later. -
G1 Climax and GHC Title shot tournament line-ups
Cuban Linx replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in General Wrestling
Nakamura seems like a sure bet to win the G1, with Tanahashi as an outside chance. Makabe too, though i'd bet he ends up getting Disqualified repeatedly to miss the Semi's without having to be pinned. Nakamura & Tanahashi definitely advance from Block B, but there's 5 guys who could potentially win Block A so who knows what direction they'll end up going. As for the NOAH tournament, i'll go with Akiyama & Rikio meeting in the finals with Rikio winning the title shot. The guy's been pinned only once in over three years or something ridiculous like that, unless they're protecting him for something special (which they're not) they might as well throw him to Misawa. Which will suck, but he'll make a more credible challenger than Sano or Bison Smith at least. -
It took the majority of the year, but Travis Hafner finally fills the black hole of suck i've had at 1st Base all year. Now i just need Ian Kinsler back and Jarrod Saltalamacchia to be traded to Texas so i can dump Bengie Molina and my offence will be looking good.

Brackets for the rest of the tournament: Bracket A: Pelle Primeau vs. Davey Richards Bracket B: El Generico vs. Chris Hero Bracket C: Mike Quackenbush vs. Claudio Castagnoli Bracket D: Brent Albright vs. Jack Evans Quack/Castagnoli has been awesome every time it's happened, ideally we end up with either Hero/Castagnoli or Generico/Evans in the finals, worst case scenario we get Richards/Albright. Add in the 8 man tag (something like Nigel/Briscoes/Aries vs Danielson/Sydal/Strong/Rave would be suitably great, though i can see them splitting the Briscoes for this match) and the 6 man mayhem with the left over guys and this is looking like a damn good lineup.

Likely keepers at the moment: Johan Santana Jake Peavy Kelvim Escobar Hanley Ramirez Alex Rios Curtis Granderson Not keeping Alex Gordon will be hard though. If someone is looking for potential keepers Gordon (and everyone else outside that 6) is available, i can afford to give up a future star like Gordon if it can help me win this year.

NOAH: NTV Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Cup
Cuban Linx replied to mysterious_w's topic in General Wrestling
Atsushi Aoki & Rocky Romero have been added to the tournament as the 6th team, and with Danielson/Richards vs Aoki/Romero being added to the 7/1/07 show every team will now have at least one match taped. A shame more of this won't be getting aired but what is being taped should be damn good, thankfully someone in NOAH thinks highly of the Briscoes as the two matches of theirs that are being aired are the matchups i'm looking forward to the most in this whole thing. -
I'll be in as usual, even though i always seem to go awful in every TSM Fantasy Football league.

Putting up with the last half-decade or so of Jail Blazers crap is finally starting to pay off. Oden/Durant, Roy & Aldridge is one hell of a core to build around, Portland could be scary good in a couple of years time. Now if they can just find a sucker to pawn Darius Miles off to everything will be perfect.
-
I'll stick with Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and Kirk Hinrich as my keepers again.

Pro Wrestling Guerrilla Comments That Don't Warrant A Thread
Cuban Linx replied to The Mandarin's topic in General Wrestling
Losing Kazarian isn't a huge loss at this stage but losing the MCMG is a big one, especially since they were pretty much a sure bet to win the upcoming DDT4 tag tournament. -
My team was dominant basically all season when i remembered to actually set my lineups, so naturally Ray Allen, Zach Randolph, Josh Childress and Desmond Mason all go out for the season right as the playoffs start and murder any chance of me winning. With Garnett, Allen, Randolph, Hinrich and Okafor to choose from for keepers i should be in good shape again next year at least.
-
First place with 2 crushing victories, this season is already a big improvement over last year where i was never far from last place. Gutting my whole team to get Johan Santana & Jake Peavy is looking like the best fantasy move i've ever made.

ROH vs CZW Cage of Death

A very nice 9-3 win for me, 40+ innings of 2.68 ERA baseball and reasonably good offence. I'll be hurting if Hanley Ramirez misses any significant time though.

What a time for Sanchez to deliver the shittiest performance of his life, and i still can't quite fathom what happened in the main event, in one night the Welterweight Division got shaken up big time. Huerta/Garcia brought the awesome, Nog officially being announced is awesome, Grove and Cummo looked good, quite the night for the UFC.

Looking at a big win this week, my offence seems to be holding on despite getting zero production from anyone not named Kinsler, Ramirez or Granderson, and with one more start to go from each of Santana, Peavy & Escobar i should clean up in every pitching stat aside from Holds & Saves.
