IWA-MS 8/19 matches...Necro vs. Homicide!
Cuban Linx replied to JoeDirt's topic in General Wrestling
I look forward to Necro finding a way to take Roderick's backbreakers on his head. -
Looks like the Collective Bargaining Agreement is now a done deal. Cap set at $49.5 million, with the Luxury Tax threshold at $61.7 million. Other signings i can't be bothered linking, Juan Dixon to Portland, and Damon Stoudamire to the Memphis Grizzlies.

SWF Ground Zero word count thread!
Cuban Linx replied to JJ Johnson's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
100,000+, i copied and pasted every match i've ever written together followed by "Boom, Explosion, everybody dies but Stryke". -

Morbid curiosity wants me to see them draw a match like Axl Rotten vs Matt Sydal or something.
-
If you really want to give Danny a match you could book Danny vs Stryke. I was probably going to return in the next show or two anyway and i'd be able to write for it, it wouldn't be the marquee PPV match someone of Danny's status is deserving of and i'm hardly the most exciting of opponents but hey, it's something. Danny can squash me and get revenge for me beating him for the ICTV title back in the day. Either way, this has to be one of the better looking shows in a long time, there isn't a match on the card that doesn't look appealing.

The Pre-PPV "Remind me what I screwed up!" Thread
Cuban Linx replied to Ace309's topic in Brandon Truitt
Stryke's gonna get loaded and show up forgetting he's retired, cut an incoherent promo demanding a title shot before throwing up and passing out in the middle of the ring. -
Surely Minnesota have better things to spend money on than giving Mark Fucking Madsen a Five Year Contract. I can't imagine there was so much demand for Madsen's garbage minute production that such a deal was necessary, though with the stupid deals that fly around the NBA these days who knows.

The wheels have fallen off in Texas, lost 4 in a row, 2-8 since the All Star game and will likely be 10 games back from the division lead they held not too long ago after today. One more loss and they drop below .500, with 2 teams ahead of them in the division and 6 ahead of them for the Wild Card an improvement on last season is looking more and more unlikely every day.

She's lucky it was a springboard and not a platform she was jumping from, or they'd still be scraping pieces of her face up.

Pleased to see the Blazers trio of Telfair/Outlaw/Webster looking good, even if it is just the Summer League. If they continue to develop (and stay out of trouble) Portland will be looking at a real good young team in a year or two.

PWG Presents "Zombies Shouldn't Run" On Saturday,
Cuban Linx replied to a topic in General Wrestling
Big thumbs up to the show name, and to Claudio Castagnoli debuting in PWG. Double C is taking over the globe. -
With the egos involved (Hogan & Warrior specifically) there are an infinite number of ways for this match to fall through, provided there's any truth to the rumor at all, which i'm sure there isn't. Though the prospect of Hogan or Warrior saying one wrong word to the other and triggering some sort of geriatric shoot fight could prove entertaining.

The Lakers and Blazers look to have been beaten in the race for Antonio Daniels, Washington offering an estimated 5 years $30 million. Portland still has Sebastian Telfair, but the Lakers are fast running out of options at PG, they better hurry up and sign someone soon.
-
I'll grab a vacated team if i can. Ideally the Titans, but if Chuck still claims them then i'll take whoever.
-
Full results: Unofficial crowd estimate of between 50,000 - 52,000. Misawa/Kawada also apparetly went 25-30 minutes.
-
Yeah, at my expense. Stupid Percival and his stupid arm putting him on the stupid DL.

Duck Hunt.

Booker would be far better off in a tag team at the present time. Let him get the hot tag and clean house which Booker's offence is suited for, and have a parter do the majority of the work playing underdog or whatever. Booker's still pretty over, so in a team he should get his partner over by association as well. That's preferable to more crummy singles matches with Christian or Orlando Jordan or whoever.
-
Pleased to see Texas remembered the game starts before the 8th inning today.
-
Darrell May, Tim Redding and Al Leiter shouldn't be starting anywhere, all three potentially in one rotation is just brutal.
-
I don't think Booker's even that highly praised anymore, he just gets grouped among the better guys in WWE more out of habit than anything from what i see, and as much as he's declined he still looks good compared to alot of the shit the WWE pushes these days. His days as a top singles worker were done probably after 2001, he's had some good tag matches since then but that's about it from what i can remember. As far as talk about 'Good Booker T matches' goes the Booker/Goldust vs Jericho/Christian matches are about the most recent matches you'll find, and they were late 2002/early 2003. The window for Booker T as a top guy, either match quality-wise or in terms to placement on the card has been closed for a while.

I have Teixeira, Soriano, Ensberg, Anderson, Podsednik & Izturis (if he counts) from the All-Star crop, and had Jason Bay and Scott Rolen for a while before trading them. Wow, all those all stars and my team is still totally shit.
