A Tribe Called Quest - Scenario

Sounds like a really good show, adding another to the growing list of IWA shows i need to catch up on. Jimmy Jacobs and Brandon Thomaselli have really stepped it up over the last few months, i really like the building Jacobs heel turn they've been doing and if those match times are correct Thomaselli wrestled about 55 minutes over the night.

Nearly all the Chicago, New York and Boston teams, since that's where the majority of people in this folder seem to be from.

You could make a damn good all-star team out of players that will be left out of the actual West team. Manu Ginobili, Peja Stojakovic, Rashard Lewis, Elton Brand, Andrei Kirilenko, Zach Randolph, Chris Webber, Pau Gasol and probably a few others. A guy like Brand will probably never make an all-star team out West, not with KG, Duncan, Stoudamire, Dirk, Marion, a healthy Kirilenko and probably Webber ahead of him among forwards, if he played in the Eastern Conference he'd be the first guy chosen.

The rosters are what i and probably most everyone else expected. I'd have liked Nash to be starting, though with Kobe's injury he might still get that chance. As for a vague guess at the reserves, though i'm certain i'll forget at least one really obvious player: West- Steve Nash Ray Allen Mike Bibby (?, can't think of another guard) Amare Stoudemire Dirk Nowitzki Shawn Marion Brad Miller East- Dwayne Wade Steve Francis Larry Hughes (if healthy, Stephon Marbury or Gilbert Arenas if not) Antawn Jamison Jermaine O'Neal (even with the missed time he'll probably be there, unless the whole brawl/suspension thing gets him blacklisted) Paul Pierce Ben Wallace

Looks like quite a good card, hopefully more than 20 people are there live to see it. Being what looks like the blowoff to their feud i expect good things from Jacobs/Delirious, provided it doesn't get into the messy non-finishes their last few matches have had. And IWA are certainly getting their money's worth out of their Cage, seemingly every second or third show has a Cage match these days.

George Karl's undefeated run with the Nuggets comes to a close, Portland picking up the win 97-94, if the Blazers can manage to combine a healthy Randolph & Miles with their suddenly good backcourt of Stoudamire & Van Exel they could have something, though i have no idea where Abdur-Rahim fits, especially with Przybilla actually looking like a competant Basketball player lately. Meanwhile Derek Anderson sits out another game with Dental Pain, that must be one hell of a toothache.

So this kid in my dorm died last night.

Leave him logged on, it could become like an on-line 'Weekend at Bernies'. -
It'll probably be Ash or something. That or it'll just go nowhere and be forgotten, like that 'Phoenix Uprising returns' promo on some PPV last year.

Updated CZW Only the Strong: Scarred for Life Card
Cuban Linx replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in General Wrestling
The show on paper is certainly an improvement over the Gen Z show in January at least, this is the sort of show they should have followed up on COD6 with. -
A WWE-produced women's wrestling movie would just be bra and panties mud-wrestling pillow fights for three hours.

Hooray for being 1/10th as good as Landon.

Smackdown Matches: Kurt Angle vs Nunzio Mark Jindrak vs Rey Mysterio Doug Basham & Danny Basham vs The Big Show Rene Dupree vs The Undertaker Booker T vs Eddy Guerrero
-
I'm guessing Landon's glad he didn't decide to no-show. I'll attempt to comment once i read everything, from what i've read so far (up to entrant #7) it's good stuff, better than the crud i had managed to put together at least, not that that says very much. And on a personal note i'm glad Stryke was in the final three and not a Bushwacker Luke elimination like i expected, every year Stryke's gone a little closer to winning so following the trend that should make me a shoe-in for Clusterfuck 2006!
-
Yeah, Stryke's probably no-showing, but i'm sure you all just assumed that anyway. After a fourth failed year at this i'm thinking Clusterfuck just isn't my match.
-
It's readily apparent i like the *idea* of writing Clusterfuck much more than actually sitting down and doing it. If only i had the slightest bit of drive to actually follow through with all my ideas and wrestling knowledge. Still, unlike the past two years i won't just give up and no-show, i wrote a 17K word five-way elimination match in one sitting before so *in theory* i can pull this off in one setting as well. With 1291 words in the bank that's only 13.7K to go!

In what will surely be shocking to everyone, a Portland Trailblazer has been suspended. Darius Miles out for two games for 'conduct detrimental to the team' and 'insubordination', Portland mut have a set quota to reach each season for suspensions/arrests/fines. Though they still manage to beat the Clippers, it's good to know there's still at least one team they can beat most of the time.

Only player i feel like looking up for the Rangers, Mark Teixeira's most similar player at age 24 = Hall of Famer Willie McCovey.

When Did You Stop Watching On A Regular Basis?
Cuban Linx replied to Chazz's topic in The WWE Folder
The last PPV i watched was Wrestlemania XX, but even before that i wasn't watching regularly, at a vague guess sometime in 2002, and i've been tuning in less and less since. -
The Denver Nuggets have their third coach of the season, George Karl taking over immediately.
