After getting his first LeBron seems to have developed a taste for triple-doubles, in his last 5 games he has two, missed one by 2 assists and was just one rebound from another today.

If we get Ebessan vs The Bear at some stage in the tournament i'll die a happy man.

It can definately be done, in the year Grand Slam won my finished match was the longest at a tick over 14,000 words. It'll be tricky though, i just planned out a summary of my match from start to finish and that alone took about 5000 words, so commentary and description will no doubt be taking a hit in places, and some characters will probably end up being short changed in terms of time in the match, but those are just sacrifices that will have to be made. And people not feeling they have to write 50,000 words just to compete should help get more people to actually show this time, i don't think even a quarter submitted anything the last two years.

WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE Sacred v. "The Franchise" Mak Francis -> Sacred retains. CLUSTERFUCK Group 1-5: Johnny Dangerous. Figures, Portland lose 10 out of 11 games, including falling as far as losing to the damn Hornets, and then go out and beat the best team in the league by 8. Of course naturally they'll follow it up by losing by 20 to Atlanta or something. And they look to have a center that actually does something besides block for the first time this century, Joel Przybilla suddenly becoming a beast as he puts up 52 points and 54 rebounds in his last 4 games, from a guy that averaged 2.3 points and 4.1 rebounds a game until now.

I don't know why Texas not wanting to have Delgado at 1st was such a big sticking point that they'd pull out just when it looked like they might have been the favorites to land him. Earlier in the off-season they were thinking about moving Teixeira to the outfield anyway and playing Adrian Gonzales at 1st full-time (and Delgado's about a million times an upgrade on that), Teixeira had no problem moving and has played left field before anyway, it's seems rather minor to completely cut off negotiations that could have given Texas maybe the most potent offence in the league, or at least close to it.

The OAO AFC CHAMPIONSHIP THREAD!!!
Cuban Linx replied to Dr. Tyler; Captain America's topic in Sports
A BIG bomb from Brady to Branch, the Patriots choose a nice time to bust out their longest pass of the season. Pats aren't messing around tonight for sure. -

Not a good start for Roethlisberger to say the least. -
Freddie Mitchell taking a page out of the Clinton Portis and Detroit Pistons books as he busts out the World Heavyweight Championship belt there.

And that makes it official, i guess the 4th time is the charm.

That's really awful. Go back to Albert or something if he wants to stick with his WWE identity, Baldo-Train is just crap.

I think it's safe for Philly to be booking their trip to Jacksonville now.

US: 78%, 77 Miles, 334 seconds with 39 out of 50 perfect. Even as an Australian i thought i'd do better than that, though most of that was from putting Idaho on the wrong half of the country. After a bunch more attempts i'm giving up at 94%, 11 Miles off with 47 perfect. Man, fuck Nevada, Wyoming and West Virginia. Europe: 24/44, 55%, 216 seconds, i suck. Asia: 28/47, 60%, 686 seconds. Not bad considering i must have got about my first 15 in a row wrong. Africa: I can't get it to work, which is probably for the best since i see myself going awful at it.

How would they even make money from this, the ads only seem to annoy people to the point of wishing a horrible painful death on the company and those responsible for it, not coerce them into paying for their stupid ringtones and crazy frogs and whatever other crap they're peddling.

Jacobs and Daniels have really good chemistry against each other, if they're half as good as a team they should be a great addition. Chikara for promotion of the year so far based on the strength of these two shows alone.

For as shitty as the Atlantic is (looking more and more like producing a sub .500 division winner that wouldn't even make the playoffs in another division) the Northwest Division isn't too far behind, at least as far as being a disappointment. Minnesota were supposed to be a championship contender and right now are barely a playoff team at about .500, Denver were considered a playoff lock and have looked crap for most of the year, Utah were supposed to be a playoff contender and were for 6 games before going to shit (and even without Kirilenko, this was supposed to be a 'deep' team apparently), and Portland while not expected to do much were expected to be a .500 team like they've been for the past 300 years seemingly. The only team that was expected to be awful is the only team that is playing great. At least the Blazers and to a lesser extent the Jazz can site injuries, i doubt Wolves and Nuggets fans expected them to be fighting the likes of the Clippers for even a sniff of the playoffs, even at this still early stage.

One can only hope that main event goes the way of Savage/Jarrett. Even an idiot should be able to figure out to follow up on Jarrett/Brown, but i guess 'idiot' is giving TNA's booking too much credit. If anything that main event will probably turn people away, when the Iron Man match, building up to Jarrett/Brown and pulling the trigger on the title change and a solid undercard would probably get people to order.

These shows just keep looking better and better. Hopefully with a show this loaded they get some bigger crowds in, but either way it should be two awesome nights of wrestling. Prazak doing commentary rocks, and i suddenly have a great desire to see Necro Butcher vs. The Bear at some point in the tournament.

I went with NE over Atlanta, the Patriots just plain keep winning and i'm not going to go against that, and i'm not going with Philly until they show they can actually win in the big games. My head says Philly should win, but don't trust them to pull it off, and it pains me to have to predict the crappy Falcons in the Superbowl since they'll just get hammered and continue the alternating good/bad Superbowls.

The Cruiser Title can be easily fixed, it just needs the booking to focus on having it defended more, setting up contenders and stuff over the course of a few shows, hopefully a feud gets going between two or three guys that aren't doing much (and the roster is basically all cruiser guys more or less so that shouldn't be too hard), and with a little bit of effort a dead division can be brimming with life. On at least two occassions that i can remember the Tag Title division has been completely dead, way worse than the Cruiser belt is now (once one of the title holders wasn't even active, and that lasted for weeks), and each time a little bit of attention focused on them brought the tag titles to new heights each time, to the point that at times they've been the most hotly contested belts in the SWF. There's no reason that can't happen with the Cruiserweight Title.

That would have to be the closest the Colts have come to a scoreless half of football in an awful long time.
