Though if i remember correctly Goldberg got right back up after the three, pretty much no-selling the Bookend and giving him a Jackhammer or something.

That would be the Double Ladder match between 3 Count vs. The Jung Dragons, with both 3 Count's gold album and their recording contract hanging above the ring. And another WCW ladder match, the Duck On A Ladder Match between Konnan/Rey Mysterio & The Boogie Knights (Disco Inferno and Alex Wright) from a Nitro in late 2000.

Things are looking better for me so far this week. Up 4-3, but Kevin Garnett is yet to play a game so far, his stats should help me out immensly. And something has sure lit a fire under Q-Rich's ass, in 4 games since returning from injury he's averaging 27.5 points, 9.8 rebounds, 2.3 steals and 2.5 threes a game, my team is so much better when Richardson is healthy and putting up strong numbers.

At this rate it won't be long until Kurt wrestles himself into a wheelchair. Judging from his past he'll probably rush back too quickly from this injury as well.

Looks like i nabbed steals to salvage one point, giving me a a 6.5 game advantage over Marvin for the final playoff spot with one week left. That should see me hold on, though if my team gives me another performance like this week i won't be surprised to see myself out of the top 6.

The One and Only WrestleMania predictions thread
Cuban Linx replied to The Ghost of bps21's topic in The WWE Folder
Typically the gambling game went away just when i was winning it. -
There should be some good players available to draft for those (if any) who don't take keepers, though maybe not a whole lot of true 1st/2nd round calibre players. Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Sam Cassell, Kenyon Martin, Brad Miller and Amare Stoudamire all look to be available with more to come, and chances are between now and next year one or two people may dissapear never to return, adding to the pool. And it looks as though i'll regain the lead in the steals category today, pretty much the only stat i'm not being utterly crushed in. Hopefully i can hold onto that for one more day and crawl out of this matchup with 1 point at least. Luckily my top steal players are all playing, so that should help.

Interesting note from the Velocity preview
Cuban Linx replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in The WWE Folder
With the amount of attention the WWE gives the cruiser division it doesn't surprise me they wouldn't know who the hell is in the match themselves, beyond Rey and Chavo they probably wouldn't recognise anyone else in the match if they were standing right in front of them. -

I forget how many keepers were having, but i'm taking the keeper option for sure. Kevin Garnett stays with me until grim death, and if it's two keepers Ray Allen stays on board as well. I doubt i could draft a pair in the first 2 rounds better than Garnett/Allen anyway, and not taking the picks at least stops me from doing something stupid like taking Jason Terry in the 2nd round. I don't know what i was thinking there. EDIT: And my luck continues to sink down the drain, as Kenyon Martin sprains his ankle. If he misses any time, then in the space of two weeks i'll probably go from a possible top 3 finish to missing the playoffs altogether. At least Q-Rich is back, though typically his 25 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals were squandered on my bench

Portland with back-to-back wins over Minnesota and Sacramento, the Blazers continue their trend of seemingly always playing well against the Kings for some reason. They've beat one of the best teams in the NBA three times now (today and the two overtime wins), if they'd only play like that against any other teams they wouldn't be in the position they're in now. And why they refuse to give decent minutes to an all-star calibre player who's capable of putting up 20 points and near 10 rebounds a game in Abdur-Rahim continues to perplex me though. Is it that critical to have Darius Miles out there?

Looks like Stackhouse decided to return without notice, of course happening after i dropped him. And now that i've picked him up again he'll probably not play for another few weeks just to annoy me. I've also taken a chance on Vin Baker now that he's with the Knicks. He probably won't give me much, but it's not like Caron Butler was doing anything significant anyway.
-
Stackhouse said there was a chance he might still appear in a few games, and i guess this was one of them. I don't know why he'd risk further injury playing for a team that's going nowhere though.
