    UK metal bands

In my defence, they're probably the biggest UK metal act at the moment, in terms of popularity over here, so I just wanted to know how they've translated to the USA. Besides their new stuff is pretty good, especially We Are Godzilla, You Are Tokyo

    The Ballshot

I loved the low blow that Rey Jr gave to Scott Norton during his "giant killer" run. There is a picture of it somewhere on DDTDigest.com and Norton selling little Rey kicking him in the nutsack is a wonderful sight to behold.

    Brock Lesnar

Shit on that philosophy all you like, but it didn't turn out too bad for the Rock. True, but that was only by accident. He only got over as a heel because the fans HATED him so much as a face. Could have been worse though...he could have turned out like Lex Luger on the "Rocky Express"

    NWA:TNA- Revolution

Damn good diary, especially with the PWI newcomers. Liked Barry Windham's involvment in Quest For The Gold too...just hope he doesn't get jobbed out like Mr Perfect did after he returned to the WWE in a similar fashion.

    Brock Lesnar

Agreed. They knew Brock HAD to get over, not only due to his stature and skill, but due to the sheer force of his push. They even covered his weakest point, his mic skills, by having Heyman as his agent. If he had failed, he'd currently be in the same position Sean O'Haire is, getting the odd match on Velocity and training in OVW

    Few WWE Notes

But who would TWGTT face at WMXX? The only other face teams are the APA (which would be a waste of Haas and Benjamin) or the newly formed Kidman-London team (which would be great, but Kidman and London haven't had any TV time apart from on Velocity)

Which is the better tag match?

The Vengeance match was my 2003 MOTY, so I have to go with that. It made me mark out for the first time in ages. Going into the match, I was sure that TWGTT would win, but the longer the match went on, the more convinced I was that Kidman-Rey would win. Hopefully, they'll give this new London-Kidman team a chance against Haas and Benjamin

    Vince as announcer

I loved it after when, after Diesel beat Shawn Michaels at WM XI, Pamela Anderson, Jenny McCarthy and a bunch of C-list actors jump in the ring with Diesel and Vince sells it like Diesel is being greeted by the cream of the acting world. Vince: "OH YEEAH! Big Daddy Cool, Diesel is SURROUNDED BY HOLLYWOOD" Brilliant

    2/16 WWE Observer Notes

Part of me thinks "Great, this means he HAS to drop the title at WM and leave the main event scene for a while". The more sensible side of me thinks "Silly, his last movie role didn't give us a break from Triple H". Why do I see either Benoit or Michaels running the gauntlet against Evolution, only to lose to at Backlash to HHH
  16. I know it was mentioned earlier, but Hayabusa's theme was just perfect for the guy Jake Roberts theme worked really well when he was a face Sid's WWF theme ("Psycho" on Anthology) Buff Daddy for Bagwell and "At Last" for Christian both played up the characters arrogance to the hilt
  17. On Hard Knocks and Cheap Pops, they show some footage from the IWA King of the Deathmatch tournament, which is captioned "courtesy IWA Japan", so they've made some agreement in the past. I'm sure it could easily be done again.

    I miss WCW

By the end, WCW WAS getting better. I just watched Superbrawl Revenge and it was a damn good show with booking that made sense. Steiner (who was still decent back then) was being built as a monster, the cruiserweight division was on a resurrgence with Knoble, Hayashi, Rey, Kidman and Chavo all performing really well, not to mention the push which started for Shane Helms. Hell, there was even a great tag match between Sean O'Haire/ Chuck Palumbo vs Shawn Stasiak/ Mark Jindrak, which you certainly wouldn't predict now.

    Jeff Hardy to return?

Jeff Facts: This Christmas, he gave brother Matt a 15 foot high V1 (as in Version One) sign. The year before, he gave Matt a dead fish which had gone off. Funny thing is, this isn't a joke.

    Nova touring w/ WWE

It's true. Stephanie told him to cut it because he "looked too much like Triple H." I suppose that's fair. If I was watching TV and out comes Nova, I'm obviously going to think "Shit, that's Triple H!!! He's gotten much thinner, less muscley, is moving faster than normal and has changed his name! What's going on? Where's Evolution?" Nice to know they aren't insulting our intelligence.

    Nova touring w/ WWE

If they aren't going to use the Nova name and have a heel superhero, what the hell is the point of putting him on Raw? Surely the only point of having Nova as Mike Bucci would be to put on semi decent matches on Velocity (which is where you KNOW he'd end up). On Raw, with a bland name and persona, he'd be below Hurricane and Spike Dudley in the "small person" pecking order, and it's not like those two are setting the world on fire. Also, is it true that they made him cut his hair? God, that must look terrible.
  25. Seems like the mighty wrestlingunlimited isn't the only one reporting this story. Of course, the fact that it'll be Heat and Velocity jobbers asking for their release kinda waters down the impact of Kendrick's "revolution"
