I might try to get to the Sheffield show, although that's still a fair trek from Coventry. Is there really nowhere south of Sheffield they could visit? That said, I saw the Smackdown show in Sheffield a year and a half ago and that was decent, so it could be worth it.

I just hope when he saw Linkin Park he didn't have to put up with the same insincere crap we were unlucky enough to receive at Reading this year. "I just want to say, headlining Reading is the greatest night of our whole lives" and "I'm so excited I want to shit my pants and vomit over the whole stage" And they were horrendous. Technically very tight, but what they were playing in such a tight manner made me feel so sick. Worst band I saw at Reading...and I endured the Revs

The "if you ever said you missed me, then don't say you never lied" line just before the chorus in Jude Law And A Semester Abroad by Brand New The end of Stanislav by Liberty 37, where they play the sample of Hitler yelling at the Nuremberg Rally over a really heavy guitar part before stopping abruptly is always a jaw dropping moment. When New Noise by Refused FINALLY kicks in with "CAN I SCREAM?" The chorus to Come Back To What You Know by Embrace, when it crashes in after the build up

The Kaos/ Doring match was at Fallout. It was really good, except for the bit in the middle where they made Doring look like a total fool getting outwrestled by Veronica Caine. Even more stupid when you consider Doring was the face in the match. I gave the match *** in a review I once wrote, but match of the night was definitely Super Crazy/ Psychosis

Funaki counts as Texas? How come? Canada has more guys I mark(ed) out for (Bret, Owen, Vampiro, the Quebecers, Y2J) so they get my vote.

The problem I think a lot of people have with Flair is that he's been so hyped up for so long. Someone like me, who is only 21 and living in England, has never had the chance to see Flair's matches against Steamboat/ Funk etc. By the time I bought the Flair DVD, I was so psyched to see Flair-Steamboat, it could only have been a let down. However, next time I watched them my expectations were lower, and I found myself really enjoying the DVD. This to me is the most likely reason for this Flair backlash

!~2004 Indy Breakout Stars Predictions~!
DCMaximo replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in General Wrestling
Agreed, Birchill is a terrifying man, taking the Mike Awesome approach of big man who can do highflying, then improves upon it by doing some jawdropping stuff that Awesome couldn't do. I also see James Tighe being the next UK star to get some acclaim stateside. Oh, and I'd love Cory Kastle to breakout this year. Of all the recent CZW students, him and Niles Young are the ones to me that combine a decent, if green, wrestling ability with some actual character. -
I didn't think he looked THAT bad either. People here were saying that they were worse than Benoit/Jones, which is absurd. Besides, his matches against Eddie and Benoit were both about 3 minutes long. He didn't blow anything and he had a better moveset than most of the hosses about nowadays, so why all the hate??

I might as well grab a sniper rifle and peg off every one of their members, never ever making horrific music ever again (I'm talking about Mars Volta) Care to elaborate? Or are you just being a cynical metalhead? I find their music is very, well boring. Nothing gets me interested in them Same here. Saw them at Reading and they bored the hell out of me. 15 minutes later, I decided to see the Alkaline Trio instead, who were great. Later found out that Mars Volta played a half hour long jam, which is the most arrogant, pretentious thing to do at a festival. Don't think I was alone in leaving their set either

I like the way Sonjay hasn't been in TNA since losing to Michael Shane about a month ago and is now in the X-Cup team. 3 guesses who is doing the job to the AAA guys. Still looks like a good set of matches though. I used to love Hector Garza in WCW, so I hope he's not as bad as people are saying he is now.

Nice work. Sir Cliff, Phil Collins and David Bowie's best song- can't have any complaints there.

3 Colours Red- This Is My Hollywood

What the fuck, the only time HHH-HBK hit **** was at SummerSlam 2002, where they clearly DID try very hard. How can not trying include use of tables and ladders and all kinds of foreign objects. Also, if they CAN hit **** without trying, what the fuck happened at Armageddon, in that 3 Stages of Hell (for the viewer) fiasco? They must REALLY have not being trying that day. Just because HBK carried HHH to a semi-decent match a few weeks ago, it doesn't mean it's going to be a regular occurance

I like fucking with peoples minds when I give them lifts Also, Little Things is by far and away the best GC song, I'd spent the weekend listening to The Holy Bible, hence Of Walking Abortion and Wired For Sound is the greatest driving song ever ("Into the car go to work and I'm cruising/ I never think that I'll blow all my fuses/ Traffic flows into the breakfast show."). Gotta love Sir Cliff

Jimmy Eat World- Rockstar

Dude, I was in the same boat, except I got there early enough to see their entire dreadful set. It was quite funny though, they performed some dreadful grunge-metal shit, then their amps stopped working for about 5 minutes. I was feeling happy about this development, until they bring out the dreaded ACOUSTIC guitars and give us half an hour of Staind unplugged. Needless to say they were the 2nd worst band I saw that weekend (after Linkin Park), but thankfully the Darkness rocked!

Plus London's first Smackdown appearance was against Brock Lesnar, whereas Orton got a match against the toughest of the tough, the baddest of the bad, the almighty LESNAR KILLER, Bob Holly himself- and won! Orton got pushed TO THE MOON on his debut

Well Smackdown does need a new face team.... Is it just me or does Jordan look like a lizard?
