Video: Can't remember which arrived more recently out of the MAW Hardcore Cup 2003 or the video I got off eBay with WCW Beach Blast 93 and Fall Brawl 97 on it DVD: WWE Most Incredible Steel Cage Matches, although I've got the Ric Flair collection on order

Biggest wrestler never to wrestle at Wrestlemania
DCMaximo replied to Steve J. Rogers's topic in General Wrestling
Sorry man, but Arn did make it. The Brainbusters beat Strike Force when Rick Martel turned on Tito Santana -
In no order- Ric Flair Bret Hart Hayabusa Curt Hennig Mick Foley Arn Anderson Great Sasuke Ricky Steamboat Jushin Liger Chris Benoit

1. Chris Jericho (imagine Raw without Y2J this year..shudder) 2. Eddy Guerrero (supreme talent-check. good mic skills-check, even more over AFTER his heel turn-check) 3.Chris Benoit (always reliable, had 2 excellent PPV matches- Angle at Rumble and Eddy at Vengeance, and is still over despite misuse) 4. Kurt Angle (he may have spent some time injured, but his bravery in completing the WM match vs Lesnar deserves credit and his ring work was, as always, stellar) 5. Brock Lesnar (the most able big man in the company, involved in almost every big storyline on Smackdown and certainly proved himself to me as a good worker this year) 6. John Cena (in January, I was worried he'd be a lackey to Bull Buchanan. Now he's one of the biggest stars on Smackdown. Well done that man) 7.Christian (his breakout year as a solo star. Looked like he belonged in the big time and became more over than at any time since the E&C split) 8. Charlie Haas (debuts at start of year- becomes half of the greatest tag team in the company, helps legitimise the tag team division on Smackdown and was 1/4 of my favourite match of the year- vs Kidman and Mysterio-, BUT has better singles matches than Shelton- check out Angle's reurn match vs Haas in May- and displays much more ability on the mic than his partner. Plus I've got £5 riding on him becoming world champion by 2007) 9. Matt Hardy V1.0 (well, I enjoyed his work more than anyone else I can think of, barring numbers 1-8) 10. HHH ( well SOMEONE carried Hell in the Cell out of negative stars. Plus was included in every big storyline on Raw which, sadly, makes his inclusion certain)

I'd say Test. Not only have his ring skills improved in the last 12 months, but he's displayed a previously unseen side to his character by being a super-asshole. He's thus become much more entertaining to watch than he was this time last year, not just in the ring, but also in backstage segments and on the mic

God, that was a horribly long-winded/ dull piece of writing. How self-important do you have to be to write a piece of crap like that??
-
Reload is certainly worth a look in my eyes. Kojima vs Lynn, Daniels/Togo/Hidaka vs SAT/Quiet Storm, La Parka vs Shocker and Fuego (Red) vs Super Crazy are all good to great matches. Hell, even the Sabu match vs Taiyo Kea is decent

I'm really hoping someone in the UK can help me with this one. Basically, I've got tickets for a wrestling show in Leamington tomorrow night for a promotion called All-Star Wrestling, which hypes the "All-Stars of American Wrestling versus the Best of the British". I know the show features Robbie Brookside (one of the main reasons I bought the ticket), but I was wondering if anyone knew WHICH American stars would be there. The All-Star site lists wrestlers who tour for them, including the American Dragon, Chad Collyer, Slyk Wagner Brown, Shark Boy and Legend, but I was wondering if anyone knew who was booked for this tour. Thanks guys
-
The only time I've ever seen Shocker wrestle was at MLW Reload against La Parka, and he was certainly over then. He had a natural charisma that both I and the live crowd on the video, kinda dug
-
God, we didn't even get PN News. The sole "American Star" was the Brooklyn Brawler. Not Steve Lombardi, oh no, but some guy who looked like a thin Rosey, who sucked. In fact it all sucked until after the interval, when we got a decent Robbie Brookside ladder match (which is quite impressive considering he was facing some local lunkhead, whose acned back showed me he'd been taking a few supplements) and a pretty good Frankie Sloan/JONNY STORM vs Lee Butler/Wildman Whiplash match. Dean 2 Extreme wasn't even there, but from what MikeofEvil said, nor was his wife, because our ring announcer looked like a fat John Virgo. Nice to see that, out of the 12 wrestlers who fought tonight, less than half actually appeared in the programme too
-
Oh God, if it is PN News I may well cry. I wasn't really expecting the American Dragon to come to Leamington (if you've been to Leamington, you'll understand why), but I guess I'll find out just who the US star is tonight and hopefully the Wildcat will put on a good show (last time I saw him, I thought he was pretty good, he may be one of those hot/cold workers)

You can't stand Mark Henry?? How can anyone dislike the man who did so much for our pleasure? Sure his ringwork sucks, but he gave us the greatest ring music ever (c'mon, you all love that Barry White rip-off) and endured so much abuse from the writers when all big Mark wanted to do was entertain. He may be the World's Strongest Man, but he has feeling too dammit!!

I have to say that I love these threads where people hype up new WWE DVD's which aren't out in the UK for a bit. The Bloodbath thread made me go straight to the Silvervision website to pre-order it at a reduced rate, and it's great. Now this thread has made me go order the Ric Flair one for a bargain £21. I'm so excited I had to go watch my video of the 92 Rumble again.

MYSTERY MAN: Hey Booker, "I still remember....." BOOKER: Not this week you don't
-
JAMIE NOBLE: Of course not, the WWE would never forget any storyline or angle, isn't that right Cousin Nunzio? NUNZIO: Shaddupya face!!
-
Hey, I have no problems with someone liking Test. Hell, I like Test and still think he's a very underrated wrestler. I just didn't think Stacy was relevant to the argument, thats all
-
Yeah, but not in terms of how much wrestling ability they have. The standard of Test's girlfriend has no reflection on his wrestling skills
-
Christ almighty, if you are refering to the FBI team of Palumbo and Stamboli, you must be joking. Hell, I can't think of an FBI match I'd rate over **. And the only thing the Duds are better at nowadays is wearing camoflage and sucking up the ring.
-
Well, she is kind of a monstrosity, both to look at and in terms of wrestling skills. Does that count?

Glad to see that Shane had so much animosity towards Kane that he couldn't bring himself to do his stupid "I'm down with the kids" dance at the start of his introduction. Oh wait, he did
-
Before the Series, I was part of a sweepstake about who would be winners/survivors during the PPV. One of my wrestlers was Shane, which pissed me off, since I was sure he would be destroyed. The fact that I was convinced several times that, actually, Shane would win, not only shows that they made Kane look horribly weak, but also made me more annoyed when Shane lost, since they convinced me that I was on to a winner.

It was a song from the new Limp Bizkit album called "Build A Bridge" and it was the best LB song I've heard since "Nookie", taking a nice Adema-esque route

Is Nathan Jones the worst wrestler ever?
DCMaximo replied to Use Your Illusion's topic in The WWE Folder
Ok, Tiger Ali Singh! Crappy wrestling runs in the family -
True, but he holds clean victories over Angle, A-Train (admittedly in a tag match) and Benoit, held the tag team titles with Edge and still has far more credibility with the fans than other wrestlers of his size (Spanky, Funaki). He's been allowed to look strong against some of Smackdown's biggest stars (Big Show accepted), which is quite impressive given that he's barely as tall as the turnbuckles
