Well let's do a small prediction. Who do you guys see winning in Miami in Game 6? Detroit has looked completely lost in both games there, but they gotta know it's crunch time. I think Miami takes it there.

In the literal sense, I said hundreds instead of thousands because I wasn't sure of the exact number, and in a debate, as you'd like to make this out to be, you're better off not giving hyperboles like "millions" or anything, so hundreds is a safe enough way to describe his subscription base. The mere fact it's more than that lends credibility to the argument that Meltzer profits regardless. In a moral sense, I never claimed that just because one paid, the other didn't have to. I said that it was up to the person paying for the subscription to share the information. Meltzer still gets HTQ's money, so he still wins. I don't think he is sweating the loss of profits of every free eyeball reading on this particular forum, especially when HTQ isn't selling the information himself. That would be the literal definition of stealing. I understand your gripe, but you're fighting a lost cause, because no one here simply cares. And if you're trying to say that people can afford to pay subscription fees for a newsletter, you're wrong. Technically yes they probably could, but when you take priorities in consideration, a newsletter probably ranks near the bottom for any given person that isn't subscribing.

I'm hopeful that Detroit wins tonight only to buy Dallas time (because I'm starting to want Miami/Dallas, and the only way I feel Dallas can really beat Miami is if they have equal amount of rest).

Besides not everyone is willing/can afford to buy Meltzer's newsletter. In my opinion it is the person who posts the newsbits's decision to do so. HTQ decided to post it, so let's not lambast him. Meltzer still profits from the hundreds of people who do subscribe. The news sites around the internet posts tidbits of his work, and he seems to not have cared, so why should you?

That's exactly how I feel too. The Suns deserve a ring based on their offensive ability, but their defensive transgressions just piss me off to the point I'm firmly entrenched in the Mavs camp. And for all the shit people on here give Mark Cuban, he is a fan first, and I respect that in an owner.

I just hope the Mavs don't miss that many shots in the next few games, or obviously they're cooked.

True. On to the game tonight, I hope the Mavericks pulls it out, because I have a feeling the Mavericks would need to have an equal amount of rest as the ECF winner (probably Miami) in order to win. They can't afford another 7 game series as a prelude to the Finals.

With all due respect, I'd rate the Bulls higher than Showtime Lakers. In the 8 years Riley was with the Lakers, they went 533-194 with 4 NBA titles. In Jackson's final 8 years with the Bulls they went 490-166 with 6 titles.

Ok no I was exaggerating your reaction, but forgive me if I thought it was stupid to talk about home court advantage at this point, as I pointed out earlier and naiwf just tonight, HCA means nothing at this point.

I picked Dallas because I figured Phoenix was running on fumes at this point. The fact they keep going strong impresses me, but I still believe Dallas takes it... in 6 or 7.

There isn't one once you get to this stage. On the bright side, Phoenix is a monumental Dallas chokejob away from being down 3-0. I'd like to amend my pick of Dallas in 6 to Dallas in 5. The NBA gods owe us Miami/Dallas to make up for all of those San Antonio, Detroit, New Jersey Finals in recent years. Right, I was mostly pointing out Ripper's "PHOENIX STOLE HOMECOURT!" thing back in Game 1.

I know the game isn't over yet, but it's well on its way to being. So I have one question: Where's this "home court advantage"?

I honestly don't mind any of the 4 teams in the finals. PHX/MIA, PHX/DET, DAL/MIA or DAL/DET bring it on.
