  1. Ahmed Plummer, Brandon Lloyd, Freddie Beasley, Kevan Barlow, and Tony Parrish.... they're usually regarded as among the top tier (well except Lloyd yet, whom they expect to breakout anytime).
  2. Well yes... he's slated to return January 10th... Monday.
  3. He asked to be banned. Why, I don't know.
  4. He's temporarily banned. Look, I don't care anyways. I just do what the man says... I got nothing better to do.
  5. Banky: He asked me to post it.
  6. I'm very dissapointed in the Sooners right now. They didn't even seem to try in the Orange Bowl. USC came into the game aggressive and confident and OU came in cocky and acted like a straw giant. They got hit in the mouth and rather than getting up and doing something about it they layed on the ground and cried. I'm still very proud of my Sooners for going 12-1, winning the Big XII and even getting to the big dance in the first place. But I think in the past two years we have gotten away from what brought us to the big dance. We had the .1 defense in the country and were winning National Titles and bowl games and then we got away from that. Our defense was still good but not mind blowing. We got on a high horse and th ought we were above everyone else. We thought we were THE dominant team. We sat on our high horse with our defense that wasn't incredible like before and a flashy offense. Well LSU and USC knocked us off of that horse and shot it. OU has a new class and is ready to reload. I hope we spend the next few years getting back to basics. I hope Bob Stoops gets fired up again and OU regains its swagger and attitude that made it so good in the first place. Because as of right now there is no fire and there is no attitude. OU is just going through the motions and USC showed us that wasn't good enough against the Top Tier of teams. With our new class and our new kids I hope we rediscover our roots. Rediscover our defense. Lose a couple of games every season so we know what adversity is all about. Get punched in the mouth so we aren't shocked when it happens in a title game. Go to the Cotton Bowl or go to another BCS bowl. We'll probably always be Top 10. We haven't dropped out of that since 2000. But it's time for our new kids to reinvent this team and regain the fire and attitude. I'm excited about the possibilities in the next few years but as of right now I'll be happy with a Big XII crown and a BCS bowl appearance. I'll be happy with the Cotton Bowl. I just want us to find out who we are. Because as of right now I don't think they know. The final rankings are out and OU is .3 in both polls. I'm shocked we weren't dropped lower. Hopefully we can earn a .3 ranking next season.
  7. What? I have heard NOTHING about Urlacher. Sure, in their 2001 run, but not now.
  8. The Colts will not go past the AFC title game. They will have to face two straight VERY VERY good teams... first New England then Pittsburgh. One of the two will figure how to clamp the "great" Peyton Manning down to only 100 yards passing or something.
  9. I think they would have a better shot of getting Seifert than Walsh. Walsh is content being a consultant now.
  10. Really? I must have missed that. If Chow does move elsewhere, I have nothing but good hopes for him that he succeeds.
  11. I think Chow wants to stay with USC for a year or more. He loves it there and he loves the team and coaching staff. After the current crop goes, who knows, maybe a college head job is in the cards for him.
  12. Pete Carroll did have his cup of tea in the NFL... he coached the New England Patriots after Parcells and before the current coach, Belichick. I wouldn't hire him but Norm Chow on the other hand....
  13. Auburn is in Alabama Thereya go. It's very hard for them to get together.
  14. Because the team is pissed at Petrino I think... and probably won't play as hard for him. Maybe the fact that USC is located in California and Auburn somewhere in the southeast? Maybe the fact that USC will be a little busy with the celebration ceremonies and the fact they will probably have to fly back home to have their parades or whatever. Tell me how they will meet again in a sandlot? The schools wouldn't want to foot their flight bill just to play sandlot football that accomplishes nothing.
  15. Chicago will probably be in a position to draft Braylon Edwards or Mike Williams. They ain't trading up for shit. I hope Mike Williams. We had a highly regarded WR come out of Michigan a few years ago by the name of David Terrell... so that soured me on Michigan receivers.
  16. Last year it was USC, this year it's Auburn. Next year, even if they go 0-12, it'll be Texas.
  17. Thing I noticed though, OU and USC has and will always be a constant in the NCAA. They have not fallen out of the top 10 since 2000 (USC since at least 2001). They will meet up again in a bowl... maybe not next year but in a few years.
  18. Kotz, I liked the part where after Tuberville was talking about his boys wanting to play, someone I forget who said, "They're probably in the parking lot waiting." That was so funny for some reason. OU could certainly have used Auburn to stop the bleeding.
  19. You may be right. I thought it went Fiesta, Rose, Sugar, and Orange, rotating that way. I may be wrong. Actually you're right, Rose. Sorry.
  20. No, Fiesta Bowl hosts the title game next year.
  21. Likely USC, Texas, Auburn, Michigan and OU.
  22. He wants to own up to his mistakes and take your criticism like a man.
  23. Another message from Damaramu (who wishes to be reinstated to TSM... TEKE!) You guys were right. OU wasn't as good as I thought they were. They had the ability to win the game but they just played stupid football and the Trojans outclassed them in every way. The Trojans were the better ball club and The Sooners simply weren't. I'm depressed that Jason White couldn't have his title but he didn't deserve it on this night b/c he played like shit. The guy seems to have a problem with performing in big games. I hope he fails in the NFL and comes back to OU as a QB coach since he has the knowledge to help the younger guys. This was OU's last chance for a couple of years as they now have to reload. They'll probably still win 10 games every year and play in the Cotton Bowl or a BCS bowl but not for a national title. It is depressing but I can deal with it. I'm sorry I melted down leading up to this game. But here in Oklahoma College FB is all we have and I take it seriously. If I come back I will live up to my agreement with Slasher Flick and put a big picture of Matt Leinart holding the Crystal Trophy in my sig. I am upset at my Sooners but I still love them. I feel they didn't give 100% of there heart in this game and for that they didn't deserve it and I'm glad USC made them pay for going through the motions. Hopefully Bob Stoops will take the last two years and use them as a learning experience b/c he is a great coach. I hope OU doesn't lose him to an NFL team b/c I think he will get us another title. This was his third title game. Yeah he's 1 for 3 in title games but I think he can net us another one in 3 or so years. So in closing I hope I can return to TSM and root on The Eagles for the Super Bowl and I am sorry it came to this. The Trojans were flat out better than The Sooners.
  24. I was thinking more in terms of if SF trades their pick away. I can see someone trading up to grab Benson or Arrington or something stupid like that. Maybe Chicago (because.... THOMAS JONES IS NOT THE ANSWER), however I hope not.
