I don't even know what Landon means by that, so don't look at me. I mean, the match is standard singles, it says that. I don't know what the 'stip' is, presumably something about in what way the winner can challenge for the title.

I dunno about that, to be honest. I mean, no matter how alarmingly agile Bruner might be in terms of top rope moves, mass and momentum counts. Even if he could beat Taiga in a footrace (which with his stride length he might be able to, at least until his cardio gave out), I still reckon Taiga can corner quicker and move around the ring better, allowing her to evade him long enough to gradually chop him down. But I guess is the pitfall of certain character types - Bruner is virtually unassailable by most wrestlers unless they have a SERIOUS speed advantage, so it's harder to construct dramatic matches with him. Meanwhile, Taiga is a female cruiserweight whose strengths lie in areas that pretty much any male heavyweight will surpass her at, meaning anyone over about 250lbs should basically stomp her flat.

It was definitely close. I found the double-team on Bruner by Taiga and Gordo rather bizarre, as was the explanation for the lack of DQ or count-out that the SWF can't piss off their fans. On the other hand, actually having someone WIN by blatant interference and use of a foreign object in front of the referee wasn't a good call, for my money. If one of you had written a similar match without any outside interference (that the referee saw, anyway) you'd have got the nod, straight off.

I'll be honest, *I* forgot whose match I was marking too. I blame Taiga, since she IM'd me and asked for an extension, and I innocently assumed she would be contacting her marker, not just the other guy vaguely in charge who happens to hang around. *points accusing finger at Taiga* BAD! Still, at least you guys got matches in, and both to the same person! And since Landon had the main event, I can take this. I'll take a looksee over them tomorrow.

OK. So, I have a match each from WC and Taiga... even though they were meant to send to Landon. I however have NO matches from either Drew or Slaughterhouse/5, OR Thoth and Landon himself. Taiga and WC I can understand, and I hope Drew, S/5 and Thoth have done the same but in reverse, but surely Landon hasn't sent his own match to himself to mark!?

I'm really struggling with Tottenham. On the one hand, I like Harry Redknapp. On the other, I strongly dislike Spurs. If only there was some way for Harry to do OK, but Spurs to sink into abject misery, I'd be fine. It's the opposite with Portsmouth. I like Pompey (partly because Harry was managing them, partly because they Got Out Of Jail that season, and partly because they have some players I like such as James), but Tony Adams seems like a clueless prat in terms of management.

I don't see why someone can't use their natural charisma and ability for impersonations to entertain, but still be pushed in the ring as a decent wrestler (or at least, a hard-to-beat giant). Show can connect with the fans (I remember his DDP impersonation was great), when he's motivated and in something approaching shape he can do OK in the ring; is it so hard to book a big, largely friendly guy with a sense of humour who actually has the ability to become more serious when the bell rings and it's actually time to wrestle?

The MCMGs responding to an open challenge for the Tag Titles would be possibly the best thing in wrestling ever, as long as they give Shelley a mic. It'd be the tag team equivalent of Jericho's WWF debut. Of course, they'd look tiny, but hey.

I've only seen the last few minutes, but that included the punt. I think even Randy knows the difference between punting random wrestlers and fathers, and punting his boss. Although a 'Randy Orton has anger management issues... oh sorry was that your head?' might be vaguely interesting.
