What is your point, exactly?

Although asinine, it doesn't matter. I started the post of by saying it'd be amusing. It'd be funny to watch the players trying to adjust to doubled rims. It's so fucking irritating.

I loved the Bulls more than just about anyone. The league has grown into a three point shooting contest, and I'd rather see better inside shooting and ball handiling than some guy standing forty feet out snippering a few shots in. And quit fucking nitpicking everything everyone ever says.

-Changing the hoops in basketball to double rimmed baskets. It'd be amusing to watch these "superstars" try to adapt to the much harder basket. -No more three pointers. Everything is worth 2 points, free throws are still a single point. -No more high school or freshmen/soph in the draft -or- sports analysts being murdered for comparing someone to Michael Jordan.

Cleveland Cavaliers vs San Antonio Spurs
theintensifier replied to USC Wuz Robbed!'s topic in Sports
I'll be avoiding ESPN and any sports related shows now, and for the forseeable future. I am so tired of hearing how John Doe is better than Michael Jordan, or Wilt Chamberlin, etc. NO THEY'RE NOT. LeBron's performance in Game 5 was great and all, but did he score 63 against the '86 Boston Celtics? Could he score that much against them? Nope. The Spurs have too much firepower for the Cav's to handle anyway. -
The WWE needs to learn a serious lesson. They've been putting too much product into a short period of time, and their product is still overexposed right now. Normally, I'd enjoy a Hardy Boys ladder match, even though it'll follow the same formula as every other ladder match they've ever been in, but I actually enjoy feuds that make sense, and have been built up. It's ridiculous that the WGTT challenges the Hardys, and the Hardys make it a ladder match themselves. Here's my predictions: Cena vs. "Great" Khali - They've been building towards a Khali title run, and I think Hogan-esque Cena will drop the title this time. If Cena wins, again, who's his next opponent? If Khali wins, he has a returning HHH to contend with, which, I don't mind at all. Lashley vs. McMahon - I've said this numerous times at various boards, this isn't 1998 anymore, and Lashley isn't Austin. I've never cared about this feud, or Lashley for that matter. Anything other than McMahon getting squashed is an insult to the fanbase, and to Lashley as well. I predict that McMahon will lose, but he'll lose because Shane's interference will backfire. A cheap victory for Lashley over the 60+ year old McMahon who's unable to take bumps anymore. Edge vs. Batista - Edge has to take the victory here, because if he loses, he'll never escape the transitional champion shadow he's been under. Edge needs a long, clean run as champion. I'm betting on some type of interference in this one as well, probably Henry. At least we'll get Kane/Batista vs. Edge/Henry out of it! Hardy Boys vs. WGTT - Yay, another formula ladder match involving the Hardys of all people. This feud is six days old. This will surely be the match of the night, even with it's unoriginal concept and flow. Six man tables match - New Breed will win this one. Dreamer and Sandman will be eliminated early, if it's an elimination bout, leaving Punk to fend for himself. Punk will do all he can to win, but gets cheated in the end. Henry vs. Kane - Another few day old feud, and another PPV loss for Kane. Speaking of which, when was the last time Kane won at a PPV? I cannot remember. Pudding Match - Fantastic idea. Two unattractive women fighting in pudding. Candice wins. RVD vs. Orton - This is likely RVD's last WWE match, so we all know he's going down to the Concussion Maker, Randy Orton. Strecher matches are something of old, and don't really fit in with modern wrestling.

Giant Bernard would be golden in TNA. He's devolped into a decent worker with his tours of NJPW, watch the Bernard/Nagata match from April '06 as evidence.

WWE General Discussion for June 2007

I noticed that yesterday while shopping. My fiancee asked about it, since we watch wrestling together. And I agree, Nitro and Thunder would be very, very cool. Oh wow. That's superb. -
Big-ass Pig killed by 11 year old boy

All you've got to say is "It's coming straight for us!" and you'll be good to go. -
I seriously hope Killings isn't like that "in real life".

Watched the news report about this with the fiancee. One of the officers who went into the trailer remarked that the couple had a pet lizard, and its cage was prestine, and the boys lived in flith. He always said the oldest boy was continiously punished for "stealing" food from the fridge. I couldn't imagine doing this to another human being, let alone a child. I want children of mine in the near future, and words cannot express how much I will love them, and I can't believe people like this are out there treating children like this. What is wrong with the human race?

A weekly pay-per-view schedule would kill any promotion, it crippled TNA until they didn't have a choice, and had to switch. They should follow ECW. Have a pay-per-view every two months, or so.

MMA Comments that Don't Warrant a Thread
theintensifier replied to RavishingRickRudo's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
There would be alot of money to be made for a mixed fight. Say, Mayweather vs. Sherk, or many different combinations. Who do you think would win in a bout between Sherk and Mayweather? I'd put my money on Sherk any day. -

Wrestlemag Some more on that Freeman clown: What a bitch. He runs his mouth, and when he gets challenged and called out, he tucks his tail and runs the opposite direction. I doubt they'd be upset. The roster would enjoy watching Mayweather get fucked up and tapped out. -
No kidding. When Cena was feuding with Umaga, he could *barely* lift Umaga up for the FU. But, he hoisted the much larger and heavier Khali up with no problem. Obviously. "Running a train" on someone is a sexual reference which usually involves a group of men having sex with one woman or man.

No one cares, nor should for that matter.
-
Yeah, because he fought De La Hoya. And, if MMA had the global spotlight boxing does, Fedor would draw just as much, if not more.
-
Fedor > Mayweather

I know what you're saying. I'm just an old fashioned kind of guy, and respect skill and records over bad blood and whatever.
-
This is why I try to avoid subjects like this. I wasn't saying all black people are loud and obnoxious, but alot of the professional athletes we see on tv are. Yes, Mayweather backed up what he was saying, but is it really necessary in the sport of boxing? In the last few years they've been stripping the sport of its classiness and respect with their putrageous press conferences and sports entertainment antics. People like Tyson are a prime example of that. De La Hoya was being respectful from everything I've seen, and Mayweather brought the disrespect and antics to the fight.
-
It sounds racist, but its not. I have had many black friends while in the service. But, I've just grown tired of the double standard. They're allowed to run their mouths about whatever they want to, and never get in any type of trouble. A white man does the same thing, and he gets lynched by the media.
