I'm a Republican? Really? Wow, I never knew that about myself. I need to talk to me more cause I could have sworn I refused to join a party because I wanted to make a educated choice on issues and not letters. I never knew I signed myself up to be a Republican. Dammit, I guess I need to start yelling how great Bush is and sing God Bless America.

So the question is will the media ever learn to stop trying to call races ahead of schedule? This is the fourth straight election they have called results early only to go, "oops".

I suddenly wish it was all about John Kerry and his big mystery plan. Whatever it was, it had to be a great plan for him to keep it secret all this time. Maybe John can finally tell us the plan now that its obvious neither party has one. Even if his plan involves clowns and nazi gold, it sounds like a better idea than, "let's just hang out right here for awhile and wait til we may or may not win the election in two more years." And apparently a few of the races that were called were called quite a bit too early. Big stunner there.

Wait...the democrats want 2 years of nothing?? THAT'S THEIR ANSWER! Jesus Christ, tell me you are NOT serious! Two years of just sitting around, twiddling their thumbs only in an effort to stop Bush like he's the Great Satan is the answer for the US?? And what happens if they BLOW another Presidental Election? What if Hillary is the nominee? I'd rather they actually work with him for two years as best they can instead of treating the country like it's their own personal game of Stratego.

I think I found the quote that may have hurt the whole anti-abortion bill the most You know, expecting mothers may not have been big fans of you referring to whatever it is as implantation. That and the law was completely insane. Apparently the truth is most people thought this bill was nutball.

The only good thing about these shows declaring someone the winner in a tight race because of exit polling is sometimes you get that "WE WON!" turn into "WHAT?!?! WHAT THE HELL?!?! CBS SAID WE HAD IT!" It's fun seeing people treat elections like its a football game. They deserve that sudden drop when they buy the result with 10% reporting. Smitty, what was the anti-abortion measure?

I'll give them all a chance but they definately aren't making me excited. Probably just going to be another 2 years of yelling at each while accomplishing nothing in the process. Who really knows right now, hopefully they get lots done this time and would like to work together for a change. Be nice if the politians thought about the people for a little bit and not whether or not they are going to be re-elected. Marv: Exit polling man, that's how all these shows are getting their results. It's like a race between the networks to get A result out there, not giving a damn if it's right or not.

The good thing coming out of tonight is we are giving a new batch of people to either do something or sit on their asses and pretend like they are going to do something while towing a party line. I REALLY hope it's the first and not the endless tradition of new blood that comes in and does nothing.

Yeah...you might want to wait til Minner is out of office. Unless you plan on not working for a living and not being able to afford a home here. Or an apartment. Whole damn state has been declared beach front property. Delaware was a whole lot of "no shocks" with Carper, Castle and Biden III all winning with ease.

Finally, some proof a God of some kind exists. How that guy lasted this long is a joke. Now if we can get Ted Kennedy out in the future, things will be looking up!

Incredible Hulk Movie Announced for June 27, 2008
2GOLD replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in Television & Film
I appreciated what Ang was trying to do, I just think his execution wasn't very good. The ending was right out of an episode of Power Rangers, half the fight scenes looked like they were lit by a lantern, and some of the poetic scenes were just creepy. I did enjoy the comic book style cuts and the desert/city scene was pretty good, but there was a lot more that was poorly executed to me than was perfectly set. Plus I didn't buy Bana as the Hulk. When he was angry or not, he acted exactly the same. There was no difference. And Connelly was just coasting her way to a paycheck. We'll see. -
Yeah, we currently don't have any credit cards after my fiancee went completely NUTS with hers and dug a hole deeper than the Grand Canyon. Which she made about 10 times worse by not making one frickin payment until we get a nice phone call telling the amount. So no, no more credit cards on this end. I might get one at a much later date for emergency purpose only but that damn thing will be in a lock box buried under the house to keep her crazy ass from it.

I love how Nevada has the option "None of these candiates" on the ballot. That really needs to be put in place in most states. I also love the ABCNEWS coverage where a man leading by 1000 votes with 13% reporting is being named the winner. Way to jump the gun ABC online.

Country music already has the big breasted soon to be single mother of two. Her name is Sara Evans. Britney should go into acting, there are plenty of crappy off broadway productions that would gladly use her. I mean, if Ashlee can get a role in Chicago, certainly Brit can get a role in something.

Are Hayden Penn and Adam Loewen supposed to be ready this year? Cause that would really help if they are. I figure Loewen, Penn, Benson and Bedard are four guys you can start with but they need a one. Benson is a three at best (if he even decides he wants to return and he isn't worth as much as he thinks he is), Loewen and Penn are HUGE question marks still, Bedard is still pretty good and easily the 2. I heard Maddux but seriously, there is just no way he is above a 3 at this point. And something tells me the AL would eat him alive. Mulder (or is it Zito? Either way) I guess is the popular guy but no way he comes to Baltimore and I'm not crazy about him anyway. Cabrera is still another question mark and is just way too inconsistent to risk. I don't know, let him compete for the fifth spot I suppose and put either him, Penn or Loewen in the bullpen. The O's need a lot of everything: Bullpen, another bat to protect Miggy, and starting pitching. Right field can be between Markakis and Gibbons with Markakis being the easy favorite. Or hell, Markakis can play left and they can find someone else to take over right since Gibbons is a nightmare as a fielder (and overall really). Not Shef, Bonds or Sosa cause those are living disasters. I'm fine with Patterson in center although his strikeouts still give me headaches. First base is still a hole, while the rest of the infield is very good. Baltimore really isn't in as bad of shape as I thought, just the young pitchers need to develop now and the bullpen needs to be fixed quickly with guys who know what the hell they are doing when they come in.

Seeing the ads in the Steele race, I swear I didn't see one commercial in which his opponent said what he would do. It was literally all, "Steele supports Bush, so he like, sucks and things". After awhile, I started to wish I could vote for Steele cause he was at least TRYING to get his message out about what he would do. Plus the democrats lost me with the stupid, "Steele likes puppies, but he looooooves George Bush" ad.

The OAO Raw #702 Thread (November 6th)
2GOLD replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in The WWE Folder
The best part of RAW was clearly Cena rushing out to stop Umaga AFTER he had already basically killed Maria. Way to make the save John. RAW was one of those shows that had me wondering just what the hell they were thinking following up a lackluster PPV with THAT. -
Too late, Hollywood is already doing it for him. Bet it'll be as great as the remake of The Wicker Man!
-
Don't bet on it, George isn't exactly buddy buddy with the folks who own the rights to "Day". Last I heard, Romero is trying to get another Dead movie made with Universal.
-
Damn, Sterling just went the hell off on the Cowboys. Ouch. Brady up for the Player of the Week....yeah....now I hate the little prick even more. And yes, I'm a damn Patriots fan. AND NOW THE BRADY HYPE VIDEO. The foxhole? Come on now, he's not really a solider. He's a guy in football pads. Lets stop with the Kellan Winslow opinions on football is a war.
-
No, they don't. They just don't.
-
And after the Bears loss, they are now Colts fans. And if the Colts lose tonight, they'll be back to being Patriot fans. Circle of life man.
-
Jump shot complete with follow through. I guess they got upset that he showed better form than most of the Knicks. Or the NFL wasn't too happy he was promoting another sport on their airtime. If he scores another touchdown, he should totally do a hockey slapshot motion complete with goal celebration.

Guarentee it will be the loser of the game. The Rose Bowl always wants a Pac-10/Big Ten match-up when it's possible. Annnnd we have CONTROVERSY~! The Coaches did NOT vote Louisville ahead of Texas, although there is only a 15 point difference. Poll Mack Brown and his buddies trying to turn the poll in the favor of Texas over an undefeated team? SHUT THE FRONT DOOR! And I'm sure someone will say, "well Texas only lost to Ohio State and Louisville is in the easy Big East" and blah blah blah. The Big 12 has had some cupcake seasons that didn't hurt their teams shots. The Big East is a BCS conference and if one of their teams is undefeated, they should be ahead of a 1 loss team. Losses gotta count for more damage than this, I don't care who you lost too. If they both had one loss, sure Texas ahead of L'ville makes sense. This does not.
