In the battle of "My god, imagine being forced to watch that" game, the Cards have just scored a touchdown and lead Miami 17-12.

Am I the only one who thinks Parcells doesn't have it anymore? Seriously, they always talk about how everything Parcells touched turned to gold. I don't remember the Jets making it to the Super Bowl under Parcells. Parcells turned the Jets around. The team was 1-15 under Kotite, and Parcells took the team over and turned it into a pretty good one. Got them back into the playoffs, and laid the groundwork for the team the Jets are today. True, but he didn't turn them to gold. He rebuilt them but then they fell into that brief patch of quiet acceptance of doom. I'm tired of hearing announcers go "everywhere Parcells goes, he goes to a Super Bowl" like they are just forgetting he coached the Jets.

update from Buffalo DREW BLEDSOE RAN!!! Not only ran, but he's been MOVING IN THE POCKET Bills lead the Jets 17-10 and offensive tackle Mike Williams was loaded onto a stretcher and taken out with a neck injury. He gave a thumbs up though.

You'd be surprised what money does. You may have lots of racists running companies, but they are still greedy. And Greed in today's world overpowers racism in the business world. They may not like black people, but if they can make them money then they will hire them. Maybe not gladly, but they'll be happy when they are counting the money. Same goes for the "women should be barefoot in the kitchen making me dinner" men. Make them money, then they may have the same view on women but they damn sure won't mind hiring them as much.

The fact the party leaders informed Al Gore to distance himself from Clinton in the 2000 election and then they ignored the things he said in his 2004 Democratic Convention speech tells me that hell no they don't listen to him. But doesn't that still put a divide? Setting standards for people based on gender or color, no matter if they are supposed to be positive, is a negative. Companies should be hiring on skill and merit and not having to meet some quota that may be a negative for their company. There are many females and many people of different races who can make it on their own merit but will be looked at as getting their position because of AA. It places an unfair stereotype on them. The World will NEVER get over the hump until we can look past gender and race. And AA, while it's intentions may have been good, continues to place a barrier. Companies hiring practices should be monitored, but not based on if they hired a certain number of a certain type of person. If person A is more qualified than person B, but person B is a female then why is it right for person B to get the job? Doesn't that lower the bar for some and set an unfair bar for others to climb over?
