Wrestling goes out of its way to avoid logic. Like WWE's booking decisions. In the case of video games and bad movies, "it looks cool" justifies a lot of really stupid stuff. and you are correct sir, a lot of cool stupid stuff.
  2. They made a point on the website to say that Sandman was disqualified because he was drafted after that RAW - he was not "a champion on the brand after the night is over". Don't even try to argue about it, Sandman was not even rumored to be put in the match, UTSHU and a few other posters here wanted Sandman in the match because they thought it would have been a good idea, but when it turned out Sandman wasn't going to be booked in the match UTSHU and the few posters who wanted Sandman to be in that match got upset about Sandman not being in the match....and apprently UTSHU now holds a grudge over WWE because of it.
  3. And Balls is getting more over and over every week.
  4. Yeah, he made a few posts about it in his Livejournal while he had one. Basically the New Japan Dojo in LA wasn't holding up on their part of the deal when it came to working with Joe and Joe got really down about the whole thing. This was RIGHT before Joe signed up with TNA. Please correct me if I'm wrong about what happen with the New Japan Dojo and Joe.
  5. I think Kenny left when it came to the hair thing. He stayed after the title thing.
  6. I actually really liked Goldeneye's single player as well as it's multi-player. Overall I just found Goldeneye to be a really great game over all. It was diffently one of the N64's funniest games to play.

I know it came off that way, but they are quite different weapons. I know, I know. I just had a chance to call you a Smart ass...so I took it. On a serious note, I don't get why the crossbow is such a popular weapon in fantasy/horror, whether it's movies or games. The firing mechanisms are prone to failure, they take a bitch of a time to reload, and the range ultimately isn't all that hot. The advantages are a lot of power for a short-range weapon, You can have it aimed and ready to go without expending strength, and it doesn't require a lot of strength to wield. However, a longbow has better overall range, accuracy, and obviously doesn't have the reload issues. A pro archer can fire off 20 arrows a minute with a longbow. I blame crappy vampire movies. You almost always see somebody with a crossbow in there. Of course, it's a lot more similar to a modern gun--which is the reason why it isn't a stretch to be controlled by the Wii Zapper. Your using logic when it comes to videogames and movies (I almost typed wrestling), if a game/film maker can get around using logic, he or she most likely will. Besides everyone loves them a crossbow.
  8. It is a leg-trap sunset flip powerbomb. Using the legs wrapped around the opponents waist (basically by sitting on their lower back while they are doubled over) and rolling them over sunset flip style. It doesn't sound like something a guy the size of Murdoch would do, but then again, I never thought I'd see Kane try to do a rana, either. Rando, are you talking about a Code Red?
  9. Sandman's mentioned he held the ECW title before. Hell it was a WWE.com gimmick for a second when McMahon won the ECW title.
  10. Does anyone else think the "Fire Russo" chant is going to become a regular chant? Not just because something oddball happens but just becuase it's Russo.
  11. It's the Sandman, he's suppose to look drunk off his ass. I'm kinda surprised they released Sandman, but I kinda figured it was going to happen once he got moved to Raw. He just didn't belong there, he should have been left on ECW to help that show out or maybe moved to Smackdown. I think what sucks the most of him being released is seeing or hearing about how he worked to actually keep his job. Sandman lost a lot of weight and got himself in a great shape. He dropped most of his enterance with the smoking and I noticed quite recently he wasn't drinking on the way to the ring for the past couple of weeks. I really thought Sandman was going to make it, he was over with the fans, he could have sold a lot of merchindise, and hell he could have been pushed in a Steve Austin type of role as just a badass who just didn't take shit from anyone and Sandman would have been sold to every fan. Sandman could have easily been one of the most over wrestler on any of the shows. It could have been a number of things on why Sandman was released, but I'm going to assume that maybe he wasn't happy being on the Raw roster. If you think about it, he's not on the same show as his closest friends in the buisness (Tommy, Stevie, Balls, Guido) so he didn't see them as often, and yeah Sandman was kind of getting a push on Raw but it really wasn't a push Sandman should have really had. He was kinda there in the mid-care area, he really didnt have any feuds with anyone other than a short one with Carlito and I don't even know why he was mixed in with the Santino/Simmons feud. So him just being un-happy could be a high possiblity on why WWE and Sandman reached a agreement to leave.

  13. No he didn't, Sandman didn't do a Suicide dive, he did a Plancha and Sandman does Planchas all the time...I just don't think Santino caught him correctly, either that or Sandy didn't crossbody Santino all the way.

Has Link ever used a crossbow? Bow and Arrow yes...but a crossbow?
  16. So anyone wanna put down a bet on when she'll screw herself up again? I think Nicole Bass got bigger.
  17. The shows actually don't sound that bad, yeah there's some questionable stuff but as long as stories are being told and there's good wrestling I'll enjoy the next 3 impacts. I really want to see Team 3D vs Shark Boy and Sonjay Dutt since it's being called the funniest match in TNA history. I actually really love comedy matches that have good wrestling as well.
  18. I think Rikishi will be billed as Rikishi. He's been using the name and tights on the indy circuit.....but then again, this is TNA. Maybe Lethal vs Daniels was a dirty finish? Hey, I can have my hopes.
  19. when will people realize that Wrestling Internet Rumors are normally a 50/50 shot on being true or false? They're not always true, so yeah it's a possibility that the Booker T rumor is false as well. Wouldn't this be the 50% that is true then? ahuh, but I've tend to notice a lot that when a wrestling internet rumor pops up, a lot of posters here believe it is true, while they should be all taken as a grain of salt until proved true.

  21. I had no idea all those guys left...granted they weren't really being used, espeically Spike. I'm mostly surprised about Jerry Lynn, I didn't think he would leave TNA since he helped build it.
  22. Jed did you go to the show or did you get these from someone else?
  23. I really liked using Reptile and Sub-Zero. I never really bought into the Scropion love, I mean he's good to use but I never caught on to why he was the favorite son of Mortal Kombat fans. I actually liked using Reptile until the makers really changed Reptile's look. I mean him being a green ninja look like was ok, but when they really made him into a Reptile, I kinda gave up on him. Sub-zero on the other hand...always been awesome.
  24. ....umm games are made in disc form now not cartridge form so you can only save game settings to your system. So unless he rented a catridge form of Madden 08, it's kinda impossible that someone screwed around with the settings of the game and the settings stayed the same when he rented it.
  25. First off, I screwed up and forgot to post a pre-view and results for California Championship Wrestling's 1 year anniversary show that took place on July 14th in Newman California. So first off here are the results and a match list of what took place at the show. I copied and pasted these results, so bare with me. First off here is the Pre-view of the card of the CCW 1 year Anniversary show. And here are the results after the show took place. The next match featured a return to the ring of the high flying fan favorite El Chupacabra, or Chupy vs "California Crippler" Ryan Drago in another grudge feud culminating from months of rehab and agony...Chupy obviously was less interested in winning the match than he was trying to get revenge for the significant injury he took at the hands of Drago several months ago and gave him his nickname! Chupy assaulted Drago with hurricanrana after hurricanrana and although Drago's size and strength were significant factors in the match... Drago could not withstand the fury and fire of the latino competitor-- who surprisingly took a page out of Drago's book and attacked his knee! For the first time in a CCW ring, the fans saw true fear in the eyes of Drago who took the cowards way out and received a 10-count from the ref as he high-tailed it to the locker room never to return! The fans didn't care because they gave Chupy one of the best ovations of the night on his triumphant return to the CCW ring! Winner: El Chupacabra Match 4: For the CCW Westside Championship: Rik Luxury vs CCW Westside Champion Virgil Flynn in a 2 out 3 falls match The fans drew their breath as the first Title belt came up for grabs on this momentus one year annivesary show-- the West side title feud between the first CCW Westside champion Virgil Flynn vs "Wrestling Personified" Rik Luxury. Rik had attacked Virgil last match and convinced him to a 2-out-of 3 falls match for the title...And what a match it was. Virgil's fire and high flying style took early advantage over Rik, allowing the diminuative spark plug to get a 360 splash cannonball move on Rik in the corner off the top rope for the initial pin! However, Rik regrouped and showed he had a reason for asking for 2 of 3 falls, as he waited and baited Virgil to be able to wait for a weakness to show-- and he was able to do that by attacking the leg of Virgil and taking away his ability to jump and maneuver as he usually does. Without that advantage, Rik was able to get his first fall, and then the assault on the knee became total. At times, the knee/leg assault reminded the observer of Mr. Flair himself tearing the leg apart-- including the final move of slapping on a figure 4 which was too much for the spirited youngster Flynn... Rather than see his career be destroyed and face several months off like Chupy had to, Virgil faced the toughest decision of his career-- give up the title that he cherished so much to hated Rik Luxury, or lose his knee. He did the toughest, but smartest choice and regrettably submitted. An elated Rik Luxury embraced the title, his first "real" title reign since his one-night title stand against Big Ugly a few months ago that resulted in a shattered body and broken table a few minutes later... Winner and New CCW Westside Champion Rik Luxury Match 5: Mother Truckin' Otis vs "The British Messiah" Timothy Thatcher in a Hooligan Dog Collar Match After an excited intermission where a hot and energized crowd scarfed down super-dogs, super nachos and as much water and soda as they could consume in 15 minutes, one of the most highly anticipated feuds in CCW came to a head against each other as Mother Truckin Otis faced the only man who has beaten him so far in CCW, British Messiah Timothy Thatcher and his manservant, Lord William, but in no ordinary match-- a HOOLIGAN DOG COLLAR match! In a CCW first, both competitors were locked together with 16' of galvanized steel chain. There was nowhere to run for either competitor although the nefarious Lord William of course was a thorn in the side of the Elvis-emulating big man from Branson, Mo...The two of them wasted no time in using the chain on each other, but Thatcher used the chain as a pair of brass knuckles, wrapping them around his fist and opening up a huge gash in the mother trucking one. Otis even had his hands full with the terrible William who even bashed Otis's crimson mask with the teapot he brings on a cart to ringside... Although bloodied and bandied about by the battling brit, Otis drew strength from the hundreds of screaming children at ringside to turn the tables on the lousy Limeys and got his world-famous "Gotter Dun" slam on Thatcher and then used the chain to hog tie him up for the pin! Otis continued to take out the trash by whalloping the hapless William and used the Snot Rag claw to put the final touches on the wimpering simp known as Lord William! Winner: Mother Truckin' Otis Match 6; The Final Match in the CCW Tag Title Tournament The Badapples w/ Buddy Sotello Esquire vs The Reno Scum members of Luster The Legend and Adam Thornstowe. The finals of the tag team title tournament happened next, with Luster, Adam and Shane as the Scum facing off against the BadApples. While Buddy was gabbing away in the booth with JJ for the highly rated Comcast TV Broadcast (rated #2 on the OnDemand ratings for May), he was missing out on the chance to assure his legacy by being ringside with his team as they faced their toughest challenge. It actually proved to be too much temptation for Buddy who did decide to come out of the commentary booth to ringside and tried to give his men the edge-- including the risky move of grabbing Luster the Legend's boot as he ran across the ring to attack T-Rent... Luster bailed to the outside and grabbed the interloping manager by the throat and proceeded to choke the life out of him. Using this as a distraction to get Adam's attention to the outside and with Shane and the ref tangling each other up, DD grabbed Adam from behind and rolled him up into a small package with enough leverage to hold him down for the 1-2-3 count! The crowd of course was stunned and so was Buddy who was dunked awake by Shane Dynasty throwing an entire cooler of ice cold water on the unconscious New Yorker... But despite the humiliating circumstances of the cooler-dunk, Buddy turned out to be the big winner as his Syndicate dreams were finally realized in a culmination of a pair of leather-clad gold symbols of a year's worth of effort, defeat and sacrifice, if not to mention plenty of cheating, back stabbing and rule-breaking to get the coveted CCW tag team titles! Winners and the FIRST EVER CCW Tag Team Champions The Badapples w/ Buddy Sotello Esquire. And then the match that would change CCW destiny forever-- the match that so much had built up behind it; Who would the fans root for? Who would become the new champion? How would the friendship of the two greatest friends that CCW had ever seen, the bond between two men as close as brothers, Vinnie Massaro and Big Ugly, survive the challenge of the most coveted title in indy wrestling today, the CCW Heavyweight title, would come between them? Match 7 and it's the Main Event for the California Championship Wrestling Title: The CCW Champion The Big Ugly JD Biship vs Vinnie Massaro. The fans were TRULY divided between the two colossal competitors! Fans were chanting Vinnie, Vinnie, Vinnie as the valant challenger showed no signs of slowdown in the ring after rehabbing the broken hand he suffered only a couple of short months ago. Big Ugly showed that it was hard for him to use all of his force and killer instinct that he was known for against his good friend. It was almost as if both wrestlers knew each other so well that it was impossible for either of them to gain an advantage. Nobody in the arena knew what would change the tide of the match or swing the momentum either way... Until the curtains parted... First Ryan Drago came out with a chair and jumped up to the ring apron, motioning for one of the wrestlers to throw the other one into the chair-- but which one??? Before the fans could find out, Chupy came from out of the back and chased the interloping Drago to the back... Vinnie and Big ugly continued to battle each other, until their combat got so intense that both them and the ref were knocked flat. Out came the BadApples to turn the tables on one of the wrestlers, but again before they could change what was going on in the ring, the Reno Scum interrupted them and sent them sprawling outside the front of the arena and into the park area on the side of the FDES hall! Finally the two competitors struggled to regain their footing while ref Toby was still unconscious. At that moment, the massive Mr. Massacre who had been missing for so many months, chose to use that time as the WORST time to make a terrible return to the ring by delivering the devastating Massacre Slam on a stunned Big Ugly. An exhausted Vinnie had his arm placed on top of him by the hooded assasin and the ref Toby groggily counted to 3, making Vinnie the first repeat heavyweight champion in CCW history, and regaining the title...A stunned crowd was not sure what to think, but soon had its answer when Buddy raised Vinnie's hand and Vinnie grabbed the belt and backstabbed Big Ugly instead of showing any display of good sportsmanship in front of the dispirited fans... A veritable travesty of justice had ensued as friend became foe, and a sacred trust between men who were closer than family was torn asunder. Et Tu Vinnie? All for a title? There was no sign of regret in Vinnie's eyes as the rest of the Syndicate came out to accept their latest charge to their ranks and bully the deflated fans. However, their control of the evening was not total, for the Scum had the presence of mind to come back to ringside and chase the celebrating Syndicate out of the ring! However the Syndicate continued to taunt the fans, the Scum and anyone within earshot and viewing distance as they displayed their newly-won tltles in front of everyone, demanding that the fans respect them as "Gods"...The evening ended with booing fans hearing a spiteful "Happy Birthday to CCW" wish from Buddy Sotello, whose Syndicate now controls all the major titles in CCW...How long will the Syndicate's control over CCW last?
