Another side to the "putting the curse to rest by beating the Yankees en route to WS"
Even if they don't play the Yankees on the way to the WS, what if they play the Cardinals in the WS?
I think that may help put some "ghosts to rest", as the Cardinals denied Teddy Ballgame his one possible WS ring and also ended the Impossible Dream in '67
And I wake up to see Boston broke it open after I went to bed, which is good.
I also see someone from Boston (at least I presume, since I've seen Niskie root for the Sox and Bruins) supporting my point, which is also good
Hartfan now comprises 75% of this thread. Good work
And due to work, I have to head off to bed before the game is over, but hopefully I'll wake up to a Boston win.
And also on the list of things that annoy Slayer:
Nicknaming any player named Rodriguez "_-Rod"
Of course I've never liked the whole "first initial+first syllable of last name" trend kicked off by you know who (big ass)
My problems is that, while I wouldn't say I'm "afraid" to face NY in the ALCS again, I (as most Sox fans, I imagine) couldn't bear a third ALCS loss to NY in 5 years
Just in case people are too busy watching the Yankees/Twins game on ESPN, this game is also going on
Top of the 1st inning, Boston gets the bases loaded but fails to score
But according to the WWE Unscripted book, Vince McMahon is a genius!
"How could you spend all our money on a book written by Coffey?!
We'll never sell these... Birds won't even use them in their nests."
