  1. I know there's the "Matches to check out list" up at the top, but I think there's just too many matches to swallow at one time for a puro n00b (which I am not, but I'm not expert either)... Now, in my five years as an internet mark, I've pretty much seen the same 5 US matches get cited as the absolute classics to check out in US wrestling: Savage-Steamboat Flair-Steamboat III (or II, depending, but either one) Hart-Hart (WMX) Michaels-Hall (WMX) Hart-Austin (WM13) I know you might think a puro list would be more divisive due to the stronger divisions in weight and gender in Japan, but still, I want the absolute best. Two I keep seeing pop up that I believe would be on the list would be Misawa-Kobashi 1/20/97 (which I've seen and believe it would be up there) and Misawa-Kawada 6/94 (which I have not seen) So what would the list for puro be?
  2. Oh, well, again, I'm running with what the mainstream puts forth as metal ("nu-metal"), regardless of what the IMC considers it Although I am by no means a nu-metal fan (save for only the occasional song here and there), hard rock hardly seems a fitting moniker either.
  3. That was a beautiful ending with Pudge-Rod stabbing the final blow at the plate So now the winners of Game 1 of the NLDS are 14-3 in winning the series, and the Giants were two of those losses (the other time being in 2000 against the Mets)
  4. Damn, the Giants catcher totally f'ked up on that one, he looked like he forgot the ball was active after Pudge-Rod scored and pretty much left the door wide open for Lee
  5. Well, thanks to the new WWF style, he won't even have to actually wrestle... or do anything... he and Angle can just get into the ring and look menacing at each other Ironman Standoff!
  6. The pop-up killer I personally swear by is KillAd
  7. Possibly, but I used to be a faithful reader of PWI back during Shawn's title reign (presuming this was during Shawn's '96 reign though), and they were pretty good about reporting house shows... I suppose I just missed it. What happened?
  8. Checked the FAQ and all over the acc't control page... How do you change the sig under your avatar (where mine says "Ringside Ticketholder") to something custom? Thanks in advance
  9. They're both sardonic bald New-Yawkers, so I suppose it works, although Alexander would of course have to grow a beard... and a couple inches... and maybe drop about, oh, 30 lb "Serenity now!"
  10. Such as? I'd say Ripper (ex-Judas Priest, Iced Earth) and Matt Barlow (ex-Iced Earth) own Ronnie's annoying ball-less voice in every which way. And let's not forget that Burton C. Belle has quite a great SINGING voice, too. All great young singers you mentioned there. I was referring to the likes of who the mainstream presents as "metal singers", e.g. Jon Davis, Corey Taylor and He-with-the-Backwards-Cap-who-Shall-Not-Be-Named. Although I should note do like Dave Dremaine, but he seems an exception rather than a rule
  11. I don't remember that at all, but I suppose the E does occasionally know how to show appreciation to their underappreciated veterans (a la Iron Shiek winning the Gimmick BR at WMX7)
  12. While watching today's MLB game and hearing the commentators talk about salaries, a question popped in my head. When pro athletes get paid, do they get checks/direct-deposits bi-weekly or monthly like you and I, or do they get one or two payments a year, or is it just a whole 'nother system entirely?
  13. Ronnie Dio, who can still sing better than many current metal "singers" 1/3 his age
  14. I... would.... FUED!@! Transpose power away!

I was mildly amused by the puppet video, although it struck up some nostalgia, since it seems like it was based on 80's kids shows.
  16. If he was directly responsible for them losing money in the wake of agreeing to hump a dummy (no, not Steph) on national TV, then I'm not sure if that's exactly true. Though I do admit that's a lot of money..
  17. I'll FUED you!
  18. Judgement Day '02. Nuff said.
  19. SI on Campus had an article entitled "The Coolest Jobs in Sports," featuring people under 30 who have big jobs in sports. Two other notable names on the list included Theo Epstein and Tony Reali (StatBoy from PTI). I was surprised though when I came upon the IWC's favorite female in the article: The funniest thing to me was Steph chiding anyone about having an attitude, and before anyone talks about distinguishing her "character" from her real person, I believe that, like her father, they are one in the same. Also, curious of course that they don't note that while it's worth $437M today, that it was worth over twice as much in 2000, before the XFL and WCW acquisition and driving away fans in droves thereafter.
  20. I'm not naming myself after a mid-80's two-hit wonder band. Unless I'm missing some inside joke here (as I'm inferring from New Me's response in General Chat)
  21. Well, I honestly never about that, as other MBs I've been to never brought it up. I don't care though, let people think what they will. I personally find both series to be greatly overrated
  22. Angelslayer If anyone is really curious (hah) to how that comes about: Take two of my favorite bands... Morbid Angel + Slayer, minus Morbid, and there you go Thanks ahead of time
  23. I'm gonna take these golden wings and learn to fly again... under a new name </end lame joke> Thanks
  24. Yes, I do so cherish my single (now double, I'm moving up in the world) post count, but really I thought I'd try this option before adding a dead account to the TSM graveyard. If registering a new account is the only way though, so be it.
  25. I'm a n00b here (noooo, put those flamethrowers away), and already I realized I chose a bad name for my login (based off e-mail address) Can I change my login without registering a new acc't? Apologies if this is noted elsewhere
