My god. Just...My god.

...that's one glorious dick heel move.

Is there anyone who wants to see "Epic Movie"? Anyone?
-
It's gonna be revealed that it's Shawn causing all these attacks, and he's secretly been working with Rated RKO to bring down Hunter~! That'd actually be a good storyline, so it won't happen.

SUPER CRAZY LIVES AGAIN!

Once again, I point out how WWE could use this to make a new top guy. Carlito refuses to stay down and keeps fighting back and tormenting Vince & Khali, before getting a definitive victory over Khali, and a moral one over Vince at WM. Never going to happen. Yay for Hogan/Khali~!
-
...Annnd Carlito's about to die a million deaths.
-
Someone's gonna stand up to Vince? This is interesting.
-
...they are playing off how shitty it was.
-
...Did WWE just admit their skit was horrible?

They could skyrocket someone to the top cards if they did this right. This is some 80's old school type stuff, where the heroic face goes into battle against the evil-doer heels only to have some midcard face run down and help out the main event face, and be elevated by taking on the evil heels on even terms. I'm not entirely sure WHO they could use that on, but it's there. This is WWE though...it'll be one of three things: Shawn gets beat down, Flair helps Shawn, whoever helps Shawn turns on him in a SWERVE~! ... Or of course, Shawn beats them both.

I've never gotten this "Their not a good team, but they win!" stuff. It's a game. You play to win. It doesn't matter HOW you win, as long as you win. Therefore, if you win, especially in the playoffs where it's over if you lose and everyone understands this, then the team that wins is the BETTER TEAM. I don't care what happens, god himself could nuke a defensive player with a fucking lightning bolt during an interception, as long as one team wins and one loses that's enough. In the end, it's not about statistics, or who had the ball longer, it's about points. It's about who was able to get the job done and put the most points up on the board. The Patriots may not look super well in doing so, but they get the job done. Exactly like how Seattle won half their games this season, when it mattered they scored what they needed to score to get the win. In this case, the Patriots "should" have lost but they didn't. They won. Just like how they do in almost ALL of their major games. Tom Brady is 12-1 in the post season. That is not "lucky", that's fucking SKILL. The Patriots are one of the best teams of the entire NFL, and if they go on to win the Super Bowl, then I'll be one of the first to say their the best team of the decade. The four teams that are left are the best in the NFL. You can't argue that. Why? Because they advanced. So please stop this "But their not a good team" or "This team should have won but the other team got lucky!" It's silly, and inconsequential when only wins and losses matter.

Peyton Manning's gonna kill himself if he loses to Brady again.

That Bears/Seahawks game was fucking great. The fact that both teams had issues made it all the more dramatic. I do think I agree with Mordecai about the coverage of the game though. Post game, I expected the Bear's defense which hung in there and fought their asses off against a resurgent Seahawk's offense to get mentioned, along with the aforementioned Seahawk's offense and with defense playing better then anyone gave them credit for. What got mentioned? Rex Grossman's two long passes, like he had picked up the Bears by himself and packed them on his back single-handidly to win the game. It outright pissed me off. There was almost NO credit to the Bear's defense, or their running game, let alone the Seahawks playing above their expected abilities. Just Rex fucking Grossman. One of the commentators on the post show incensed me by claiming Seattle giving up those huge plays was "inexcusable"...If I was paying attention, Grossman was targeting Hunter, who just joined the team TWO WEEKS AGO on atleast one of those. On top of that, they gave no mention to all the injuries and players missing from Seattle and treated them like they were expected to win the damned game. Every expert before the game was predicting pretty much a shutout, so why not give Seattle credit for being within three points? I mean, the people calling the game called a spade a spade, and mentioned all the injuries Seattle had, and said it was impressive that Seattle was hanging in there...Why can't the people whose job is to talk about the games do the same?! ...Anyway, congrats Bears. Great game.

I miss CMLL. When it aired on Galavision used to be one of the highlights of the week for me. Easily one of the best promotions in the world right now. AAA is like...nothing compared to CMLL. In direction, and in workrate.

WON News + Notes, January 8th Issue

Trump backing Nitro against Vince backing Cena is riiight there. They've even been feuding for the last few months off and on unofficially. On top of that, Cena already has been mentioned in the media, and Nitro looks like a million bucks. They could even long term it with Nitro running some type of corporation for the stars, with Federline guest starring in that stable. PLZ just long book for once WWE. -
It highly amuses me that the Seahawks honestly have a shot to make it past the Wildcard. I figured they'd be out in the first game, but given how Dallas is slumping, they have a VERY real chance at doing it. It's fucking funny given how Seattle's played for most of this season. Brett Farve's speech was emotional as hell. I think Madden had it right, if his eyes had been dry then he'd be back...but if they were wet, he wouldn't be back. His eyes were wet, and he had to fight back crying, so...It probably is the end.

I don't think Fedor was carrying Hunt. I watched it live...Fedor was BLEEDING. Not alot, but he was bleeding. His skin also seemed to change fucking colors when he decided to kill Hunt, like he was powering up his CPU. If you want to talk about a carry job, I'd look at Shogun/Nakamura instead of Hunt/Fedor. I thought that was a pretty obvious job there.

King Kong Lariat > Jumbo no Kachi!

The problem with the "new big wrestling move" is that in the end...The simplest of moves will become the next big move. Take the Shining Wizard. EVERYONE uses a variation of the move now...All it is, is a running leap off the opponent's knee into your own knee strike. Not a very hard move to pull off. People come up with fifty million different moves, and flip floppy moves...but in the end? Shuji Kondo's King Kong Lariat is STILL one of the simplest moves in wrestling, and one of the most feared to this day. You can't beat simple and effective. It's a fucking Lariat. EVERYONE uses a lariat. Kondo just does it *better* then most. Oh yeah, since someone mentioned it. If you haven't seen Kaz Hayashi v.s. Shuji Kondo for the AJPW Junior title, you owe yourself to do so. That was one of the best matches of the year, if not the best. Absolutely balls out awesome on every level.

All I want from UFC is to keep Wild Boys. Make a deal with Duran Duran if you fucking have to. It's not the same without that song. The fact that Mirko comes out to DURAN DURAN makes him that much cooler when he's caving in people's faces.

MMA Comments that Don't Warrant a Thread
Hawkius Maximus replied to RavishingRickRudo's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
Headbutts are illegal for a few reasons. The first, is their inherently violent. You are taking thee most important part of your body and beating the shit out of someone with them. If you've ever seen a GOOD headbutt assault, you can see why their not allowed. You can fuck someone up real bad, really quickly with some good headbutts. On top of that, due to the hard nature of the head, it's very easy to open up a big gash using your head. Even more so then elbows, which are fairly controversial in their own right. If they were allowed, we'd have even more blood stoppages. Another reason, is it's VERY hard to stop a headbutt assault from the guard. With regular G&P, it can be countered by keeping the opponent close, or grabbing the arms. While holding the opponent close will dilute the headbutt a little, you still can't fully stop it. It doesn't take a huge amount of room to generate intense power. One good headbutt from the mount can absolutely demolish a nose, let alone open up cuts all over the face, which inturn can lead to a stoppage, or a long injury. The MAIN reason though, is MMA fights the "barbarian" stigma already. Headbutting is the most "barbarian" attack I can think of that wouldn't be considered cheap such as Royce jabs to the nuts. Allowing headbutts opens up all kinds of worms towards how "inhumane" and "Barbaric" MMA is. That should be enough to tell someone. -
Christina Ricci as a nymphomaniac? Sold. I don't need to hear anything else. Sold.

NYE's gonna ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOCK. Technically, if you can see it, it airs around midnight I believe on the 30th...so it's gonna go like this: UFC K-1 Begins PRIDE Begins Insanity. This is gonna be the first NYE I ever experience. Even for the American broadcasts, I only ever ordered one before. I'm fucking excited for this. PRIDE's lineup looks amazing. K-1's...Not so much. Giant Silva v.s. Akebono has me disgustingly interested though.
